Vincent Vercetti

Vincent “Vince” Vercetti is the far cooler, less talkative, younger brother of Tommy Vercetti. He is often mistaken for a similar looking man named Claude Speed, as such he has adopted “Claude” as an Allies.

[edit] Childhood and Early life

Vincent was born in Algonquin, Liberty City, USA, the second son of William and Shara Vercetti. Vincent did not have a very pleasant childhood as he was “pushed to the side” and largely forgotten by his parents, whom showered Tommy with far more love and affection than they ever gave him. It is for that reason that Vincent and Tommy do not get along that well.

By the time both Vercetti brothers were in their teens, they were, in certain respects, leading very different lives. Tommy had found work within the very powerful Forelli family, while Vince on the other hand had begun a career as a (comparatively) small time crock, carjacking, mugging people, muscle for hire etc. Vincent’s life would become better 2 years later however, as he became involved with Liberty City’s street racing scene. Vince was the big friend of Claude Speed and they decided to feed themselves with forty-five thousand and one piece of ice because they didn't want to talk anymore.

[edit] Tommy‘s arrest

After faithfully serving the Forelli family for 4 years, Tommy‘s loyalty was repaid with treachery. He was ordered by Sonny Forelli to kill a man in the Harwood District, but as he arrived 11 men ambushed him. Tommy was forced to kill them all, resulting in a 15-year prison sentence for multiple counts of homicide. Shortly after his brother‘s arrest, Vincent decided to skip town and fled to the state of San Andreas.

[edit] Arrival

Upon his arrival in San Andreas, Vincent settled down in the Doherty district of San Fierro and purchased a large garage just down the street from it for his personal car-modding needs. Within 6 weeks of his arrival, Vincent had became a highly respected street racer, known all across San Andreas.

[edit] Meeting Catalina Dalmiro

Vincent met his first, and last, long-time girlfriend Catalina Dalmiro while holding up a liquor store somewhere in San Fierro, the 2’s eyes met and they instantly fell head over heels for one another. Catalina had recently been dumped by a black man, whom Vincent was eager to meet and make pay for breaking “his” woman’s heart.

[edit] Meeting the “Black Man”/ Return to Liberty City

Only 3 hours after they met, Catalina took Vince to meet her former boyfriend Carl Johnson (CJ). Vincent engaged CJ in a race and, by some fluke that defies all laws of the natural World, lost to him. Catalina announced to Carl that she and Vincent were planning on going to Liberty City, Vincent left Carl the deed to his garage (Which he had intentionally trashed 2 hours earlier) in Doherty and he and Catalina then make tracks for the airport in order to catch a flight to Liberty.

[edit] Liberty City: Home Sweet Home

[edit] Early days

After returning to Liberty, Vincent and Catalina took up residence in a small apartment building in Broker, from their they committed a series of crimes together. It seemed like their love, and their crime spree would last forever, until October 22, 2001, when Catalina double-crossed Vincent following a bank robbery. She left him for dead…however he was not, but he was arrested by the police. While he was being transferred, an attack on the police convoy aimed at kidnapping an unrelated prisoner set him free.

[edit] Revenge

Vincent then took on work as a local thug and begins a quest for revenge against Catalina while working for various different criminal gangs and individuals in the process. Over the course of his employment, Maria, the wife of a local Mafia boss, begins to show a liking to him, and saves him from a Mafia death trap, while remaining close to him throughout his quest for vengeance. Eventually, his exploits attract the attention of Catalina, now affiliated with a Colombian drug cartel, resulting in the kidnapping of Maria. This finally gave Vince the opportunity to confront Catalina, which resulted in a large firefight and Catalina's death and thus completed Vince’s vengeance quest. Maria was rescued, but was then killed by Vince when she got overly excited and would not shut up. Vince then swore off women forever, claiming that they were “Nothing but trouble.”

[edit] Vince's life today

With many other key gang figureheads dead by Vince's hand, he has effectively become the most feared and most wanted man in Liberty and one of the USA's most wanted criminals.
