- It's sad that I am considered a regular member on UnMeta: I haven't been there in several months. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 17:23, July 30, 2012 (UTC)
- Why does UnMeta even exist when all the Uncyclopedias aren't even connected anymore? Whereas the Wikipedias become even more interconnected each day. Maybe we should start creating more interlanguage links. ~ 17:52, July 30, 2012 (UTC)
- UnMeta was created by members of the English Uncyclopedia community in 2006 as a hilarious joke. Everyone laughed and had fun for like a month, then forgot about it. Several years later, some foreigners thought that UnMeta was a real thing and started working on it as if it was a serious project. Interwiki links will not foster a sense of togetherness among the various Uncyclopedias. The main barrier between us and the other Uncyclopedias is that we all speak different languages. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 18:12, July 30, 2012 (UTC)

I'm undecided on whether these should stay or not. So I'm handballing it to you. (A term that refers to passing the ball by hand in football, not related to testicles and hands at all.) 05:36 30 Jul

Drop Down Menus and Stuff
Since the recent upgrade (degrade?) of Uncyclopedia, the drop down menu option doesn't work on the browsers I use (firefox or safari on a mac). Are you having the same problem or is there something I need to reinstall?. Thanks. --
RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 18:40, July 30, 2012 (UTC)
- I have not experienced a problem with my drop-down-delete-menu (I use Firefox 3.6 on my iBook G4). I'm not entirely sure why I haven't experienced a problem, because almost everybody else seems to have. Most of my other javascript stuff is broken though. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 18:52, July 30, 2012 (UTC)
- Your drop-down delete menu doesn't use Javascript (it uses stylesheet rules), so that's why it still works. ~ Tue, Jul 31 '12 21:00 (UTC)

Hey. I was wondering if you were too quick to hand rollbacks to this user. He/she/it is still coming to terms with the nature of the site, and has been getting criticism from a fair number of sources. At the time it was given he/she/it was still not classed as autopatrolled, and I found myself reverting/undoing around 50% of his/her/its edits. It's just my gut feelings on what has happened here, and I don't know if it should be undone, but I wanted to pass my feelings on. 12:02 07 Aug

Terms of Use?
Perhaps a legally binding Terms of Use (shortcut: UN:TERMS) will deter those vandals: "You agree not to ... disrupt or cause harm to any articles or other pages that constitute the Service." ~ 02:13, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- I have nothing to say to the above statement except
Boner. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!)
02:16, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Ummm...what? "Legally binding"? How are we going to pay for the litigation? How are we going to track down people to litigate? I just don't understand how a huge block of text that nobody will ever fully read is going to curb vandalism. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 02:26, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- I had a different reason for doing this. Since we're pretty much an independent website from Wikia, we should probably register our own copyright agent to take care of DMCA-related shit. ~ 02:31, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- We're separate from Wikia? Has anyone advised them, as the site owners, of this? 02:39 11 Aug
- There is no "copyright" on anything published on this wiki. Everything here is released under the CC BY-NC-SA license. So other people are free to share content from Uncyclopedia, as long as they don't profit off of it, attribute the work properly, and release their work under the same license. In the past I personally sent some DMCA take down notices to people who were using my images without attributing them to me. We don't need "our own copyright agent". -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 03:00, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Mirror Uncyc? 03:16 11 Aug
- Does the mirror site comply with CC BY-NC-SA? -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 03:39, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Nope. ~
03:50, 11 August 2012
- Yep. And if anyone bothered to check what CC BY-NC-SA requirements are, and the changes made to the mirror over the past few months, you'd see a lot of the legal issues have been resolved. The underlying issue of not being administered has changed. The only remaining concern I have is it displaying images that are hosted off-site, but that is an issue with an off-site host that is beyond the reach of the mirror's admins. That same issue also crops up on the meta site, and a few other non-Wikia Uncyc equivalents. Of course, there is also the capacity to display offsite images here via URL link, as the Muhammad-sausage incident showed. 04:04 11 Aug
- Admins and off-site images have nothing to do with the CC BY-NC-SA license. I already summarized the requirements in my comment above. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 04:50, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Nope. ~
- Does the mirror site comply with CC BY-NC-SA? -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 03:39, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
- @Zombiebaron CC BY-NC-SA is a copyright license. ~ 22:38, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
- Ok. But that doesn't change the fact that we don't need to hire a copyright agent. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 03:41, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
- And hey, we actually have a really good "legal" document. ~ 16:56, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

A heading. I didn't forget one at all.
This suggests that this might stand being deleted for the same reason. UN:N but has become a blanking magnet. I'd suggest either we delete or protect autoconfirmed. 06:40 13 Aug

Hey man. This one had a lot of promise. Could you restore to main space? Or failing that, into my userspace? 07:33 28 Aug
- Hey, sorry, I didn't realise i needed to write more than that..... I wasn't sure of the "required" length, but I've seen plenty of articles in here shorter than that...What's the general rule-of thumb regarding length or "finished" status then? Would be much appreciated if you undeleted it..... -- Strainj1 08:38, August 28, 2012 (UTC)
- It's an undefinable rule. There's a factor of quality versus quantity. A genuinely funny article can be only a paragraph or two. Longer doesn't always make better. I agree that the article was either complete or close to. If it goes into user space then we can get it reviewed, (I may even get off my butt and review it myself), and any shortcomings can be addressed. 09:57 28 Aug
- I can restore it and put a 30 day tag on it. --

Uncyc comedy network
What's your opinion about starting a wp:webring of comedy websites? —qzekrom.net16.net clicky! 18:32, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
- My opinion of webrings can be nicely summed up by a quote from that Wikipedia article you linked: "They were popular in the 1990s and early 2000s, particularly among amateur websites, but have since fallen out of general use and become rare, except for pornographic sites which still employ webrings quite often." -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 20:31, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
Correction. I meant its successor, the affiliate program. What I'm saying is we could generate more traffic by affiliating with other websites, possibly including Chronarion's. —qzekrom.net16.net clicky! 20:55, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
- I doubt that chronarion's site gets any traffic these days. But yes, I do agree that we could generate more traffic by partnering with other comedy sites. The big question though is who would want to be our partner. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 22:32, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
- We could advertise.
"COUNTERFEIT HANDBAGS: ONLY $49.99 - CLICK HERE TO BUY"You notice that the uncyc.net homepage just says "Nothing to see here" but store.uncyc.net is used? I think uncyc.net could be a great central hub for the "Uncyclomedia Comedy Network". —qzekrom.net16.net clicky! 22:40, August 29, 2012 (UTC) - Check the Yahoo! Directory listings. [1] and [2] - Uncyclopedia is under one or both of these. —qzekrom.net16.net clicky! 22:43, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
- "Ads" are different from "partner sites"; ads cost money which we do not have. uncyc.net is owned by Dr. Skullthumper, and he's currently busy trying to become a published author (and also he hates Uncyclopedia). Once again I'd like to point out that we can't make a "comedy network" with other comedy sites unless we can actually find comedy sites that want to join. Also, I'm not sure how those Yahoo links are relevant, or why you had to edit conflict me to post them. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 22:49, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

- Not really. We should be trying to find affiliates that are as funny/funnier than us, not ones that are less funny. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron
- We should definitely look outside of the Wikispace if we're searching for partners. This could just be my comedic sensibility and internet boner talking, but it would be a dream come true if we entered into the Something Wonderful ad network and made some offerings to pair with awesome webcartoonists like Nedroid or KC Green. Visual comedians like those joke-wizards would make excellent complements to our top-shelf articles. -- 07:28, August 31, 2012 (UTC)

- I was just reading some scary stuff on ToS;DR (tos-dr.info) and had some ideas for affiliation requirements. For one thing, we shouldn't affiliate with sites that don't let you keep your intellectual property rights for user-generated content or don't have a satisfactory privacy policy. - I don't think banning people based on their usernames makes any sense. If we are going to ban them, it should be based on their contributions. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 07:46, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
- So a user can call themselves anything? I had operated a policy that any user calling themselves for example 'FUCKFACE' etc would get a ban, regardless what they wrote or not. I am not including signatures here as they can be changed. --
RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 11:11, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I have seen you ban users for their usernames in the past. I disagree with all of those bans. Nowhere do we tell users that they can't name themselves whatever they want, so I don't think it is fair to ban them for their username. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 16:49, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
- What about user names that incorporate cyberbullying as part of the handle? --
RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 17:08, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
- Cyberbullying and usernames such as "User:ChiefjusticeDSisgaygaygay" are obviously created with malicious intent. User:FUCKFACE or User:IRAPELITTLEKIDS or User:Fuckthafakehiphop are not obviously malicious. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 17:41, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
- To be fair... ChiefjusticeDS is gaygaygay. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!)

Terribly sorry
I mistook Uncyclopedia with another Wiki I moderate and mistook the Yankees page as spam as it would be in the other context. Damn, I feel dumb right now. Again, sorry and know I'd not advertently do such a thing. --JustinOther (talk)
- Thanks but I don't really think you should be apologizing to me. You should be apologizing to Kamek98. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 02:42, September 30, 2012 (UTC)
- I'll also apologize to the author. Just didn't want to be mistaken for a vandal. Mea culpa. --JustinOther (talk)
Winner!
Of Perv of the Month! Now you can be as pervy as you've always been before now, except now, you're certified! (The certification is this cool template for your userpage.) So good night, and good luck humping everything you see! ~[ths] UotM

Ideas for ICU and "New User Month"
ZB, why not just get rid of the 7-day notice on ICU? Just put the "This article needs more work" tag on it, and they'll see it. They won't be discouraged or afraid of their article getting deleted, they'll just get help with it. Also, maybe try making a quicker Pee Review alternative, such as a QPRV, and have an IRC channel so they can get advice for the article at any time. If this could be a plausible idea, I'd take full responsibility. ![]()

- I don't understand why we would get rid of the 7 day notice on ICU: ICU is a deletion template. Pee Review only works when we have people doing Pee Reviews. We already have an IRC channel where people can get advice. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 15:48, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, maybe ICU shouldn't be a deletion template. As for PRV, I feel like it's too much work, and maybe a little over-analyzing. I think it should either be revised and revamped, or we should make a QPRV. Just my opinion, maybe I'm lazy. And if you don't like that idea, maybe we should just make a good effort to improve PRV.

This Fix tag expired
Green Day's {{Fix}} expired a long time ago. —qzekrom.net16.net clicky! 19:29, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
- While I would really like to delete that page you are incorrect. First of all, there is no {{Fix}} on that page, there is an {{Expand}}. And it has not expired. It will expire after the page has gone 30 days without an edit. If you would like it deleted faster than that, try nominating it on VFD. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 19:44, October 1, 2012 (UTC)

Some iframes on my website
Hello Excuse me for my poor English, I do what I can to ask that. Coming here just to ask if there is no problem for you with the manner I include some iframe with an uncyclopedia random page on my website (that nobody reads anyways for the moment). an exemple is on the page monpauvrelieu.com/band/cecile-de-mibemol/ There is no real advertises on the site. If ever it would be really a problem, I can remove that, change the credits texts (ACHTUNG, I don't use php, so nothing that would be adaptative to the random pages is possible) within one day (the maximum time I read the answer meanwhile). Thanks Daniel Mypoorlugar (talk) 21:35, October 5, 2012 (UTC)

thanks :) my website is under a free art license (equivalent of creative commons BY-SA) for texts and pictures "EXCEPT INDICATED OTHERWISE", and I indicate clearly the BY-NC-SA for the uncyclopedia article (that is indicated again in the iframe while it is the entire page) I probably will not write often here with my very basic English level, but I like to read a lot by here to change my mind. good night all folks.
