edit On Uncyclopedia:Writer of the Year

Hi, friend! I just wanted to let you know that I have removed your nomination for Writer of the Year for several reasons. First of all, it was a self nomination, which is both discouraged and against the rules. Also, nominees for Writer of the Year have traditionally won Writer of the Month at some point, something you have not achieved yet. Finally, you do not appear to have written anything. Writer of the Year is one of the most prestigious awards on the site; we would all look kind of silly if we gave it to someone that hadn't written anything. To save you some embarrassment, I have removed your nomination.

If you are interested in winning awards, try writing some articles. Read up on the other nominees, check out their articles. They make for some great examples. All of this year's nominees are excellent examples of what an Uncyclopedia writer should be. Take a look at some of their works and let that inspire you to write your own articles. If you get some of them featured on the front page, you stand a good chance of winning Writer of the Month, the first step towards Writer of the Year. Let me know if you have any questions. Oh, and don't forget to vote for one of the nominees! Cheers! Sir SysRq (talk) 20:29, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

That looks promising. I noticed you first arrived here in 2007 but you appear to have dropped by every now and again. So welcome again! --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 23:30, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yup, don't get much time for this but come back now and again. Cheers for the re-welcome. --Vegetationlife (talk) 23:39, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
I would add Chuck Norris quote jokes (like Oscar Wilde) are considered even too cliched for this website. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 00:21, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
