Welcome to Uncyclopedia! Make yourself comfortable. Want a Coke to go with these peanuts?

Hello, TwinCin, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for people like you:

If you read anything at all, make it the above three links. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Button sig) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.

At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:TwinCin/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

We also have an impressive amount of rules that you should read, it'll take a couple of days at least. Then, you can reward yourself with our Welcome Party for Noobs!

If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome!  --‎ Snowflake mini Mattsnow 15:19, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

edit The New Pornographers

This is reading too much like an inside joke. Would you please think about saying things that will be funny to people who don't know the band? (This is supposed to be an "encyclopedia article" explaining the band to people not in the know.) As an alternative, spend some time writing what you have, but more cleverly, so people not in the know will be entertained by the clever writing. There's too much like, We all know he's an ass-hole, 'nuff said. See what you can do, cheers. Spıke Ѧ 00:10 7-Jun-12

For a new article, it's not half bad; I chuckled, and I have no idea who that band is. It does need more development, though, like Spike said. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-usThu, Jun 7 '12 3:35 (UTC)

Moreover: I find it unimaginable that anyone who typed in Together would want to read The New Pornographers. Are you simply creating junk links to hump your article? Spıke Ѧ 20:21 23-Jun-12

It's not a junk link; Together was The New Pornographers' most famous album. However, I do see your point. Delete it if you want, I don't really care. TwinCin (talk) 20:26, June 23, 2012 (UTC)

I see. I did list it for deletion; someone else moved it to Together (The New Pornographers album), which makes more sense, but left it on the list for an Admin to decide. Spıke Ѧ 22:09 23-Jun-12

edit User:TwinCin/UnNews:Kapitol Claims Miami

Hi and welcome to Uncyclopedia! I'm the UnNews watchdog. I'm pretty nasty. I didn't understand much of your news story. Is this Geoff one of your friends? If that's the case, it may be funny to you, but not to people at large :S I hope you rework it a bit and tell me when it's ready. Bye! :) Snowflake mini Mattsnow 16:22, June 7, 2012 (UTC)

edit The community

I would recommend replying to the messages on your talk page; you can do this by, well, typing a message below the person who you are responding to, and then signing that with four tildes (~~~~), which automatically adds your username and date&time. Thanks! If you need any help, well, respond. A (Ruins) 15:55, 15 June 2012

edit Luigispetpikmin

I noticed there is another user with this name adding to some of your new pages. For example Techneta and Skye_Electra. Since I cannot find the source for the Techneta joke, perhaps you could enlighten me? Perhaps Luigispetpikmin he is a friend of yours?? I can always have this checked to make sure. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 08:58, June 25, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, Luigispetpikmin is a close friend of mine. And Techneta and Skye Electra are both from SuperSkye, a video game project that was scrapped around early 2002. If you want a "source" of some kind, there is a SuperSkye wiki on the Wikia community; just google "SuperSkye wiki" and it should come up. It's got pages on both Techneta and Skye Electra, so if you read those you might understand the jokes a bit better. TwinCin (talk) 13:37, June 25, 2012 (UTC)

OK..but remember, anyone found secretly socking on this site will be banned to infinity and beyond. Also if you add something to your User Page, you will provide a direct link to your page via the signature. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 15:52, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
How blessed we are to have two of them! "Scrapped around early 2002" would be ten years ago, if you care to take stock of the vanishingly small audience for these articles. Yes, I cited the Wikia wiki when Skye Electra was on VFD. But we have in the past knocked back interlocking articles developing a personal fantasy. These aren't that bad, but putting them in Template:Planet is over-the-top. There is no reason that all readers of Earth need to receive an advertisement for the listy Destopius--as though there weren't an infinite number of made-up planets. Spıke Ѧ 16:38 25-Jun-12

Thanks for your clean-up work at Solaris. But the upshot of the above is that it is not notable to the average Uncyclopedia reader. Certainly your redirect to it at Skaylia is not. Is this really nothing but "a video game project that was scrapped"? Spıke Ѧ 20:48 23-Dec-13

Honestly, do with any part of all this what you will -- I don't care too much anymore. As for the article itself, not too much was changed from the orginal, save for some minor edits and, of course, the names -- my plan was to go back later and change all that. As for the redirect, it's not important at all. I only made it since a number of pages still linked to the old Skaylia. If it's a problem, it can be eliminated. I can even fix the redlinks; I didn't write many of the pages with them, but I doubt that will be much of a problem. TwinCin (talk) 20:57, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

I am only concerned that the material be relevant to the reader. If there are links to Skaylia, that might have the same problem and fixing the references is the right answer, though there is no rush. Separately, at ThunderCats, I only meant to undo the last sentence that you added, but I inadvertently reverted a much larger edit as well which I had previously marked as okay. This is now corrected. Spıke Ѧ 21:07 23-Dec-13

Got it. One final clear-up: is it simply all SuperSkye/Skaylia references in the article that should be eliminated? I have no problem with anything. I'd just like a confirmation of what exactly needs to be done before I get to work. TwinCin (talk) 21:23, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

I cannot give the confirmation as I don't know the material. If almost no one else will either, then you ought to delete references to SuperSkye/Skaylia. If you can make it funny even to readers who don't know the material, that would be fine too. Spıke Ѧ 21:38 23-Dec-13

edit Kobaïa‎‎

Now another case where I don't know the material; but from what I have been able to learn, Kobaïa‎‎ is essentially an inside joke of a single music band, and this Uncyclopedia article will also be an inside joke; likewise its made-up language, likewise its name for its music genre. Is this article any more than celebration of that band? Can it begin by making the reader think we are writing authoritatively, rather than pranking the reader by spinning a "myth"? Spıke Ѧ 16:32 7-Apr-14

I searched on the Internet and discovered Kobaïa was the first album of the MAGMA band. Hello, TwinCin, by the way! Anton (talk) 16:35, April 7, 2014 (UTC)
