edit Bronies

Can you at least improve the formatting of this article? It looks a mess and I will tag it with a 30 day fix if I don't hear anything from you. We don't sign articles here either. Thanks. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 14:35, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Why did you post a comment on my page and then remove it? Just asking. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 13:12, January 8, 2013 (UTC)
The biggest help that this article still needs is to use {{Q}} for the initial quotes and {{Cquote}} for the large quotes on the interior. I'd prefer that you did this so you learn how. See most other mainspace articles for examples of using {{Q}}, or click on these links to see the documentation. Also, please use the Change Summaries to summarize changes and not to beg Admins not to administer. Cheers! Spıke Ѧ 12:57 3-Feb-13

On your edit of today, please go back and work on it some more. The problem here is not so much formatting but the style of writing:

  • "the internet was rather taken aback" (apart from the treading-water word "rather") is so vague that it keeps your page from looking like part of an encyclopedia. Likewise this "great debate amongst the foremost scientists." Sounds dramatic, but what happened? "Some speculate...." "It has been suggested...." Keep your language tight and specific, unless you are clearly on the way to telling a good joke.
  • Ironic that you talk about memes. Whoopi Goldberg is one. You can't just stick her on a page and think it is a joke that tells itself.
  • Thank you for deleting the paragraph with, "Here ends the foretelling." That is a pompous author writing about himself. (Sorry if it was you in a previous edit.)
  • I don't understand the numerous references to Star Trek, except that you like Star Trek. I don't see any point to it in humor.
  • Under shitty fanfiction--a title that makes me not want to read it, and I don't see the humor in it either--we launch into stereotypes of sci-fi fans. Please don't! Any stereotypes have to be done with extreme cleverness, and should also relate to the topic of Bronies.

Please write with a clear idea of how you are going to get the reader to laugh. Cheers! Spıke Ѧ 20:47 11-Feb-13

I am enthused that you are going to rework this. However, deleting huge amounts of text when not logged on makes everyone suspicious. An alternative is to develop the new version in your userspace (User:TrollzinSpace101/Bronies) and substitute it at the end, perhaps after getting a Pee Review from another Uncyclopedian. Cheers! edit How to post to talk pages

My reply to your multiple query is at the bottom of my talk page. Editing talk pages is the tedious but very usual way of communicating here. My welcome message is more detailed than the one you got, and it includes the following:

Please follow these general rules:

  • Add comments at the end of a talk page so people notice your addition.
  • Start your paragraphs with one or more : characters to indent them and set them off from other people's posts.
  • At the end, type ~~~~ (four tildes), which gets replaced by your user name and the current date and time.
  • Don't delete anyone's messages. In case of any controversy, we depend on an accurate record of what was written. You may disavow your remarks by striking them through like this. Spıke Ѧ 17:13 13-Feb-13

PS--If you are saying on my talk page that your username might be a problem going forward, you can take advantage of our once-per-lifetime offer of a name change, by following instructions at the top of User talk:Sannse. Spıke Ѧ 19:12 13-Feb-13
