....when it was all about the humour, man? -- Sir Mhaille
(talk to me)
- Yeah. What's it about these days? I'm embarrassed to say I'm so out of the loop, I don't know. Anyway, I'd prefer to keep my admin hat if that's okay. I'll continue to mop here and there as time permits. --T. (talk) 12:35, July 7, 2011 (UTC)
- I have only been here for two years, and it appears that most of what you've done over that time is whinge. The site is still about humour - your choice to forget that is yours. Puppy

- Actually, the suggestion that Uncyclopedia may not be about humour came from Mhaille, whereas I acknowledged that I'm not here enough to know. It does appear that whoring is pretty embedded in the culture now, but for those who've been here for only a few years it's impossible to know that things weren't always that way.
- Wiping my personal stuff off the wiki isn't so much a rejection as it is an acknowledgement that my life has changed substantially and permanently in the last few years, and the ridicuous size of my user page is completely out of proportion with my significance to the wiki.
- I'm not sure what I've done to offend you personally, other than apologizing for not being able to help you with a song, and I'm glad you still seem to love the site... but should you ever change your mind and wish to make an exit, I sincerely hope you won't be berated on the way out. --T. - Meh - I'm just being a bitch. Hate to see yet another old timer wandering out the door, catheter in hand. But seriously - the fact that you're here at all suggests that this place is still in your blood. Just hope it will still be here when you come back. (And I've been a registered user for 2 years - been a fan for 6 ish years.) Puppy

- And you're just realizing that now? You were never significant. Still, that's no reason to hold it against your userpage. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 00:12, July 8, 2011 (UTC)
- It shoulda been taken behind the shed and put out of its misery years ago. :) - T. (talk) 11:12, July 8, 2011 (UTC)
- Just to add my own personal thanks for helping me early on with the signature and welcoming my assistance with the Doctor Kinsley's hamsters story. It encouraged this writer/contributor to stay on at the site when otherwise I could have too drifted away. It is all about small things like that which can persuade a noob that you will be treated like a grown-up if you act like one. I think it's a shame you have blanked your user page, perhaps just a sign saying 'No Admittance Unless Accompanied By An Adult' would have sufficed. Hope you will wander by again sometime soon. --

- Lurking in every month or two, it just became irritating to look at. I'm sure that Lollipop will make a better one. As for the Kinsey, your interest in working with me was a gift. I hate flying solo. Your engagement made me work harder. Thanks. :) -T. (talk) 11:21, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

edit As a fellow Canadian user
Can I make you a new userpage? It'll be great. --
Lollipop - 06:29, 8 July 2011
- Sure, if you'd like. Anything would be an improvement over the previously-standing towering inferno of ego. :) --T. (talk) 11:05, July 8, 2011 (UTC)
- That's what it was? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 15:34, July 8, 2011 (UTC)
- I was going to just add "BOOBIES" and save the page, but it's been done. --
Lollipop - 20:40, 8 July 2011
- I also wasn't sure if you wanted a simple few text userpage or a colourful userpage similar to mine. Did I do it good enough? --

- Heh... thanks. I'm sure I'll churn out a new article or two per year, and will try to dust off some of the existing articles that haven't shone as brightly as I'd hoped. --T. (talk) 13:13, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

edit UnBooks:A Day in the Life of a Prime Minister
I have a concept for a Canadian article. The article would be about a day in the life of Stephen Harper, written in the style of a children's book. You're welcome to join in. Cheers.--
Lollipop - 21:53, 14 July 2011
- Thanks! I'll start thinking on it. ~ T. (talk) 15:42, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
- Before the project starts work, i'm having a bit of trouble with another UnBook, A to Z, which has some concept in it, but it's missing some stuff and maybe you could check it over or something? --
Lollipop - 20:16, 15 July 2011
- I've started checking. If you don't like anything I've done, just revert it. No hard feelings, it's your article. :) ~ T. (talk) 12:23, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- No, you've actually done a great job. Once it's finished, i'll put in on Pee, and i'll see how it goes. --

- Thanks. I'll try to get further into the alphabet as time permits. --T. (talk) 22:37, July 18, 2011 (UTC)
- umm im really really sorry guys.but that was me. Thats what I meant when I said I stole your idea. I thought you realised. Its already on pee review. Maybe the three of us could do a page...on...say the yukon, anti americanism, the loonie, chesse curds. Sorry again :( dont be mad at me. --ShabiDOO 22:58, July 18, 2011 (UTC)
- No worries. It's actually the A to Z article that I'm hacking on now. ~ T. (talk) 23:54, July 18, 2011 (UTC)
- I bet Eh could be an idea. The page currently redirects to Canada, eh? --

edit Sockpuppetry
- You asked me to discuss why having sockpuppets is wrong with you on your talkpage so here I am. Before you tell me why you have two sockpuppets that I know about so far (Bear, The Bard), let me just say a few things. We ban users for sockpuppetery. And not for 4 years either, we ban them forever. It is probably one of the worst offenses that an Uncyclopedian can commit. Probably the only thing worse than editing the wiki with multiple accounts is winning awards with your sockpuppets. Which you have also done. You won NotM in January 2007 as The Bard. Here's a Dump from 2008 about the last person who was found to have won NotM with a sockpuppet, just so you know where the community stands on this issue. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 06:04, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
- This is not an analogous case at all. You're comparing me to a troll with a long history of dickery, driving users away from the site, and evading multiple bans? As for The Bard, he was just an excursion into my exploration of poetry. UnPoetia is 5 years old because I kick-started it with a bunch of well-written proof of concept pieces that fired up interest. As for the award, I was nominated by someone else in December and lost handily. The January win happened because there wasn't even a close contender for that month, but I certainly didn't whore myself around the site trying to dig up votes the way that's done for VFH. To me, substandard material getting published to the front page (or worse, getting Top 10 of the Month, or the Year) is a crime, and it has it's own reward (CUN, for a first-time offender).
- If we're still in disagreement, put the issue on the Forum. But I'm not the only admin with a sockpuppet that became acclaimed in its own right for contributions to the wiki. I am, however, honest enough to admit it. --T. (talk) 10:42, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
- Sockpuppetary in and of itself isn't the issue, I feel, it always remains the INTENT behind sockpuppets that is the key issue. Have the socks been used to gather votes for something? Have they been used to push an agenda? To evade a ban? To troll others? -- Sir Mhaille
(talk to me)
- I'm in full agreement. The Bard had a purpose. Bear also had a purpose, which was to enter the PLS, and this was done with the full knowledge and consent of the Bureaucrat himself. Now I gather than I'm still just a plain, ol' sysop, and still was at the time of The Bard, but do I need to run things past the top brass every time I get an idea that's ultimately for the good of the wiki? I think I'm as knowledgeable, responsible and trustworthy as any Bureaucrat here. --T. (talk) 11:16, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, but the PLS is over now. Regardless of the intentions you had when you originally created the socks, they no longer serve any purpose besides spreading your activity over multiple accounts - something that's generally a no-no in an environment where attribution is important. You've made a decent point for Bear (admittedly not so much for The Bard, as there was no reason why you couldn't have edited UnPoetia under your main account - I don't switch usernames every time I edit in different namespaces) but the account really ought to be retired. There are reasons why we don't let users create sockpuppets willy-nilly, even if they aren't explicitly doing harm - even if the sockpuppeteer is somehow capable of successfully balancing multiple identities, it is still an unnecessary amount of confusion to have on a wiki. I admit I'm slightly curious as to your motive for keeping multiple accounts active when, you know, none of the rest of us do. – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • formspring) 13:50 Jul 20, 2011
- I've written you personally. ~ T. (talk) 15:27, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
- Todd informed a number of people, including myself, Sannse and others as to his use of these separate accounts. As I can't see any misuse or abuse of any of those accounts I fail to see the issue. Where people have deliberately set up accounts for their own gain or to push their own agendas that is another matter. I fail to see how it creates any unnecessary confusion. As for his motive I can't say, what I can say is that I have another account created many years ago just for the enjoyment of writing on the site without any baggage attached. Again if people believe it to be a major issue perhaps a wider discussion should be had? -- Sir Mhaille
(talk to me)
- I think we're getting distracted from the main issue here. The event that sparked this discussion was my banning of Bear, and then Todd unbanning his sockpuppet. If there is no longer a legitimate reason why you need multiple accounts, then your sockpuppets should be banned indefinitely. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 15:46, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

Didn't I see a Bard vote on something somewhere? But if that's you, why...? I don't know anything about what these other accounts were for initially, but considering the obfuscatory nature of such things and apparent lack of current reason, keeping this up now doesn't seem very likely to ingratiate you with today's masses, if they ever notice. They often don't, mind. ~
15:17, 20 July 2011
- Okay, that was someone else, nevermind. Though if you do have a continuing reason for keeping them, that's another matter entirely... not that I'm one to talk. Why am I even here? You know what? I was just leaving. ~

- S'alright. Much of the "problem" is that my account is my real name, which I don't always want to use at particular times of the day, or with particular article subjects. So... you've charmed the pants off the guys here at Uncle Pete's and bowled over the brethren of Illogicopedia... where else are you wowing the crowds? =) ~ T. (talk) 17:25, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

edit Oh no
I'm not sure if you're doing what I did in February, or just creating socks to see what people will do. Or both. --

- No worries. All is well. I've had known and admin-approved socks since 2006. No harm done. --T. (talk) 16:05, July 21, 2011 (UTC)
- I assumed you were changing your name like I did. But whatever you're using them for (I was once a judge on PLS in the noob category) then that's fine. As long as you've put them in your drawer and sorted them out neatly and not with the underwear or birthday suit. --
