Thanks, Guildy, though I fear that 'from scratch' may be an overstatement. What's true is that I didn't like the portal designs here, which basically just recycled Main Page and other ancient Uncyclopedia designs... So, in the spirit of our status as a parody, I found a Wikipedia portal design that I liked, then ported the design and code over here, making necessary adaptations so it would function properly. I did read UC, and laughed :) but seem to recall some kinda raunchy language. If I can figure out a way around that, I'll do it, because I do think that my delivery would be an excellent fit for the commercial-like style of the article. No need for the song to be completely accurate; I just needed a rhyme and a joke there.  :) As for the article, it looks 100% do-able now. I'm not against saying 'damn' actually, but 'darn' might sound funny too in that really serious broadcast voice. I'm not sure when I'll be done; recording takes me awhile between the actual speech and the post-production. The FU one probably took 8 hours, recorded and processed a little at a time between constant interruptions. Yours should take less, I'm sure, but be patient with me. --T. Yeah well I only just woke up. And yeah I've written loads of good stuff recently. Word from Sonje is when VFH quitens a tadd she's gonna nom my latest article, I got a nom (and a prompt failure) on Left 4 Dead aswell, mostly on the grounds I wasn't really finished, I just mainspaced it because the cruft that was there offended the gods of literature. Not to mention that over half my features have heppened in the past 2 months and I got the top article of may. And now me ego has compleatly run away with me and I have to be somewhere - fuck! I don't know how many WUs there are in total for any given protein, how many are analyzed at a time, or how many times they repeat analyses before they are satisfied with the results, but I'm not surprised if they keep their focus on a limited number a time. There's this Anime series called "Spider Riders" that Wikipedia has an article about. I'm going to be gone for a while so I'm asking if you can or assign someone to start the article for me. Can you please remove the red link category from your template Portal:Contents/Portals. Also, it looks like you might have an unclosed tag in there too because of the messed up navigation bars. --Mn-z 18:28, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

Dear Sir Todd:

I just noticed that a while back you got an article about Ecky-Thump featured. It's been a long time since I last heard about that ancient Lancastrian martial art--I knew about the martial art before I knew about the Internet. Thanks for bringing back memories of one of my favorite episodes of The Goodies (which I haven't seen since before I knew about the Internet).

And if you don't mind me asking, how big is your sausage hat? (As I recall, in the episode your rank was shown by the size of your hat, the bigger the better). Also I added an appropriate note or two to 1611, the year the article says Ecky-Thump began.

Glad you enjoyed it. I haven't seen that episode since I was a young child... 5 or 6. I'm not certain how big my hat is, but I can walk outside on a rainy day and remain dry without the use of an umbrella, if that gives you some indication. Cheers. --T. (talk) 12:16, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
