As for the method of judging - I recorded [[Media:Pee buddy judge.mp3|this thingy]] earlier, but the long and the short of it - you will be judging every article in the category for which you chose to judge. I will create a judging page later on that allows you to add a comment/link to each article you judge, along with a score. The ideal is that you score one a scale of 0.0 - 10.0 in total, but if you want to score out of 100, or 50, or 8.9, you can do that as well, as long as you put in the max score in as well. (It will become apparent once I've actually created the judging page.) Judging will start on the 1st (sort of). I've actually allowed a days grace for people to complain about entries or submit a late entry with a good excuse (ie: I was dead for two weeks for tax purposes). I'll keep you posted. {{User:PuppyOnTheRadio/sig3|02:32 17 Apr}}

For what you said; I think that means something to me, but... well, you should be careful. Such sentiments show weakness, and weakness could do you in when there are rabid moose on the loose. They can smell it, you see. Weakness. Fear. Mangoes. they have a very keen sense of smell, these rabid moose.
As for what happened, a moose got into the IRC channel and I think people may have overreacted a mite, although I wasn't really paying attention at the time. Unless it was a goat? Some sort of misunderstanding, anyhow. 1234~05:46, 22 May 2011
You're very welcome, Lyrithya. Sometimes one just has to overlook the possible consequences in favor of speaking out for the greater good. Don't ask me what the greater good actually is, because I have no idea. Anyway, sorry for not replying earlier, but I took a short hiatus from the site. I just don't like how harsh this place has become. I know we don't have to lower our standards to ED-level, but I think just about everyone here has started to take this place too seriously. Maybe we're out of ideas... We need to bring back the old atmosphere. We need another brilliant article that can bring us all together! Another Fisher Priceor something! -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).09:40 May 26, 2011 (UTC)
Bah, don't apologise for taking awhile to reply... it's all good. Isn't it? Thing is, though, has this place ever not been harsh, really? Reading old dramas, they make for a good read, but I don't think I'd have wanted to be there, you know? But yeah, seriousness... who needs it? If I could make a Taco: namespace, I would.
Considering the drama over those, I'm not sure that would be the best idea, either. It's hopeless. Unless we had a taco namespace. That would solve everything. 1234~23:07, 27 May 2011
Since "Thank you" is already the title of this section, Thank You! Your kind words on the VFH for Skunk are very appreciated. They make me cry, and now I'm crying on a public street and the large black men are looking at me to do me harm, now my wallet is being passed over to the biggest one, who has "Fuck My Momma" tatted on his forearm. It was worth it though, thanks again! Aleister 18:24 28-5-'11
You might not get in Heaven like I said but you will have some virtual tits and beer as a reward for voting for my article. Enjoy. -- 09:35, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
Helllloooo. I saw your comment about IE. It's what came with my computer, or how it was fixed up anyway, and I recently "downgraded" from IE 7 to IE 8 which is giving me all kinds of trouble. People are suggesting different browsers, which browser do you use and suggest? And with this new vector skin, I'm going to miss the tab placements and the search box on the side, so I may just use the old skin. I still don't understand the wide opening in the tabs, and what that's about. Thanks for any advice! Aleister 11:09 21-6-'11
Howdy! :D
I've used Firefox about six years now. I love the all the addons that are available, but AdBlock is my favorite. It's actually possible to block just about every ad on the Internet using this setup. There's also NoScript, which is handy for blocking certain Flash and Java ads on sites like Hotmail. The themes and "Persona" backgrounds are nice, too. Lyrithya says Firefox 4 has wonky coding, but I can see almost no problems with the mockup version of vector (the logo-replace template is kinda buggy, though). I actually used version 3 on my other machine for a long time, since it worked great (and because I was simply too lazy to update it). The new one can be found here and the older one lives here.
If you want to broaden your horizons, I hear Chrome is a good, minimalist one. I've never tried it, but it was created in a vein similar to Firefox. It can be found here. As for the old skin, I actually like it, too. It has a certain old school look that isn't seen much anymore. I switched over because I've been here for four years (behind the scenes for three of them) and figured it was time for a change.
Thanks for the write-up. Adblock and noscript sound good, I have some kind of ad block code but it's gone schizo on me. My main and huge problem now is that I use google as a search engine, and whenever I type in a site name the thing is redirecting to full page ads and ad sites (I've never clicked on an ad, and now it's automatic!). It takes usually over half a dozen attempts to get to uncyclopedia or other sites I use, and general searching and site hopping is just about killed off because of this redirect thing. Have you heard of that before? or any suggestions. Thanks, and I'll study up on Firefox (Firebox?) too. Some people suggest Chrome. There must be a perfect skin and browser in paradise!!! There just must be!! Aleister 12:27 21-6-'11
Ah, yes. I used to help people with such a problem all the time. It sounds like a textbook case of spyware infection to me. They're not really viruses because they don't cause any damage your machine (usually), but some particularly nasty ones can have virus-like behavior. And while I doubt the narrow, yet hardly straight path of the Mormon Trail will be of any use to you, I think a good old antispyware should do the trick. It works just like an antivirus; some of these have real-time protection, some are on-demand only. And some are integrated into your antivirus.
The first step is to get rid of any nasties lurking on your machine. Usually a combination of Ad-Aware and Spybot S-D, will remove most of them and restore your Web functionality. Once that's done, you can install one that has real-time scanning (just don't install two real-time scanners at once!). Ad-Aware has one, but last time I checked, it was only in the paid version. Many of the free security suites out there have spyware scanning built into them now. Comodo is one such example--apparently, they now have a Web browser which has some built-in security functionality. Most antivirus companies have toolbars that will add this type of security ("THIS WEBSITE IS BAD, MR. ALEISTER! DANGER! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!").
Speaking of which, most spyware can be avoided by staying away from anything that looks suspect. "Free" toolbars not made by somebody reputable like an antivirus developer or Google or some-such, tend to have spyware in them. Use protection caution. Though the protection might not be a bad idea... -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).18:27 June 21, 2011 (UTC)
You have either volunteered for or been volunteered to be part of the official QA patrol. Please review your duties on the linked forum and get crackin'. You can of course opt out, but then you'll have to live with the knowledge that you're totally lame for the rest of your Uncyclopedian career.

For the nomination! I wasn't sure it was done, only that I didn't have the time to do more with it. I originally envisioned the ads being inside a television or on a billboard, but I don't have the design chops to make it happen. --T. (talk) 13:38, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
Hey, no problem! You did a great job on it. A billboard or TV might make it a bit more snazzy, but it works very well as it is. Still, maybe we could post something to Image Requests to see if someone can figure out an image and some code so it would work. And congratulations that it's now Featured! -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).18:10 July 14, 2011 (UTC)
And you have my gratitude for that as well. Just found out I had a June feature, too. I'm almost on a roll, thanks to you. Cheers! =) --T. (talk) 19:43, July 14, 2011 (UTC)
Hey man...awsome that you are going to do the competition. But...please man...dont plan anything until it starts (don't share ideas with the other contestants as nothing is supposed to be talked about or written beforehand...I hope you understand!). I'm sure you'll do well. It will be a fun challenge. --ShabiDOO 11:31, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
Hey...dont worry...theres no general rule. However, as far as I know...contestants arent supposed to write anything before hand. Theres no reason why they can't brain storm in their own mind...but the actual writing is supposed to start on the actual day. I guess that would apply for team mates talking amongst each other as well. Though...Ill ask Joe what he thinks and if he says that the contestants can at least debate about what topic to use...then thats fine (though communicating about the competition via IRC or chat...would be totally out of the question). You can...however, send us your credit card information...to...um...confirm that you are infact who you say you are. Which...we can't know...until we get those numbers, and the expiry date, and those three digits on the back. And your mailing address. Oh...and we need to know if its a visa or mastercard (we dont accept anything else). CHEERS! Oh and a great Friday night (do go out and meet girls hey!?) --ShabiDOO 23:24, July 15, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I see... Well in that case, I'll just give you the same card number I give everybody who asks me for it on the Internet!
Name: John H. Smith.
Number: 1234 5678 9010 1112
Card type: MasterPimp (seriously, I saw that on an old bumper sticker once, complete with two overlapping circles).
Okay Lollipop, it seems the rules have been slightly modified. We're now allowed to come up with titles for the first two articles, without discussion beyond that. Shall we stick with Our Family Vacation and Don "Juan" Henley's "Toys of Summer" or some such? -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).07:07 July 16, 2011 (UTC)
We can start on it right now. Let's write "Our Family Vacation" first, since we have a more solid idea for it. We can work on it as soon as you're ready. If it's all right, it would probably be best for you to start the basic framework for it, then we can all build on it. Is it going to be in separate pages like ToddiPhone Viral Marketing Campaign? -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).04:48 August 1, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm... I think it's too late for anyone to sign up now. Maybe we'll have a handicap of some sort when things are judged. In any case, I'm thinking about what to do with the second article... Parodying a song "Weird Al" style is harder than I thought. If you've got any ideas for a second article, I'm all ears. -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).10:48 August 2, 2011 (UTC)
Well, I noticed it was used on Doom (1993 video game), which is already overloaded with pictures. I figured since this 2005 Photochop looks it could use a redo, it wouldn't be missed. However, it seems I neglected to notice it is currently in use on people's userspaces. I should go and remove that tag now...... -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).14:08 July 27, 2011 (UTC)

Your still doing this. How`s it possible? I mean, I though the first round is over already. Am I wrong? Could someone please explain something?!! OMG!!!It`s Cat the Colourful,Jesus Christ!!! 09:58 13 August 2011
Ah, but the notice at the top of the forum page will explain all!
"SIGN UPS HAVE ENDED!! And Round One has been extended by three more days due to incompetent bastards not finishing!

Exactly three days after that post would be 9:10, August 12. Since our article was finished at exactly 5:08, August 12, it was finished four hours and two minutes before the extended deadline. Or at least that was my interpretation of the new rule. >_> -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).10:23 August 13, 2011 (UTC)
I didn`t see anything. But now I can. You gave me my eyes back! Thankyou! Next, let`s talk about my ears. Where are my ears?!! OMG!!!It`s Cat the Colourful,Jesus Christ!!! 10:25 13 August 2011
You have been chosen to continue onward to the Second and Final Round.
In other words...
START WRITING YOUR ARTICLES NOW YOU ONLY HAVE THREE (count'm, 3) DAYS TO WRITE YOUR LAST TWO ARTICLES AND ITS ALL TKF'S FAULT BECAUSE HE SHORTENED THE CONTEST TO THE 25th SO HURRY HURRY HURRY!!!!!!!!!
Oh, don't worry, I'm completely mindful of the 20-article-limit. We most certainly did. Rock and roll for us both winning. Now...how about we work on that Hentai stuff. We can get an image as explicit as possible while not breaking wikia policy that also fits in with the article!!! :) :) --ShabiDOO 13:13, October 3, 2011 (UTC)
Absolutely, Shabidoo. Really, it sounds very strange to be requested to work on hentai stuff, but it sounds interesting! I suppose no Uncyclopedian's innocence is safe. ^_^ We may still have to black-out parts of the image to make it doable here. -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).06:08 October 4, 2011 (UTC)
You can black out parts of an image? Do you mean paint it black...or a black out that reveals itself if you click over it? --ShabiDOO 10:05, October 4, 2011 (UTC)
Well, I'm not sure how to do interactive images (maybe with an animated GIF?). I do know it's very simple to just put black rectangles and squares over the offending naughty bits, or we could even use those blurry squares they use on TV to cover up faces. Though the animated GIF might be feasible, with black bars that disappear when mouse hovered over, only to reveal something else that says "DRAWINGS GONE WILD!!" or something silly like that. -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).11:26 October 4, 2011 (UTC)

I feel loved... or is it that odd feeling that someone's watching me through a crack in the window blinds? I can't tell anymore. By the way, sorry I couldn't respond to this sooner! Those must have been some really inspiring five words I put in there... o_O Anyway, sorry I haven't been on in a while. My computer decided to go all spazzy, but it's fixed now. editHowdy, sir! Ma'am, sir! I mean ma'am! (Ma'am?) Sorry! Whoops!
Just dropped in to tell you how utterly fetching I find you. Woof.
Anyhoodle, I thought while I was here, I'd mark my territory (psssssssssssss), and also inquire of you what you use to make those animated Pony .gifs. I've tried GIMP and a couple of other programs for .gifs, but the results aren't as nicely-dithered as them MLPs.
I aim to please! But to tell you the truth, I don't actually make those. I get them from this website. It has to be the world's largest collection of GIFs ever, and they're all ponies.... *_* I upload them here because I find this site stays archived forever, but image sites are not so permanent.
Though I did make the Monty Python foot one. I used Ulead GIF Animator for it. It has some decent automation features, but it's quite out of date. From what I can tell, the majority of those pony ones just use existing footage from the TV show, using each existing frame and playing it back at 23 or 29 FPS. Even the simplest GIF editor would certainly work for that, or there are some websites that will let you upload video clips for this (they add watermarks, though).
I use GIMP for just about everything, but it has two shortcomings: its GIF capabilities and text rendering are both bare-bones. I'm assuming everybody uses Adobe something-or-other for GIFs, but I can't be certain. I'm more experienced as a video editor, and I'm pretty new to this 4chan style GIF thing. >.<
Oh, I'm familiar with how they did the animations (I did some for Socky recently), I just wasn't sure how they got the color dithering so uniform. When optimizing .gifs, GIMP doesn't do as good a job. I used to use Jasc's Animation Shop (before Corel bought it out and discontinued it), and I also took the Ulead app for a spin, way back in the days before I had decent computers. In comparison, GIMP's GAP isn't too bad, I guess, although it's definitely not user-friendly. Unfortunately, the most up-to-date version for Windows seems to be one that some guy is hosting on deviantArt, so...I'm a little worried my computer has herpes now. (I could winge on and on about how GIMP's path support SUCKS, too, but it is, after all, a free program.)
One last thing: you mentioned video editing...what programs do you use for that? I've tried out VirtualDub, avidemux, and the Windows Movie Maker, but those are all bare-bones, and I'm looking for something heavier-duty, perhaps with storyboarding and, oh what the hell, maybe compositing capabilities? Wax and ZS4 are kinda lame. Jahshaka looked like a good bet, before they gave up on it. Anything freeware out there? ~ BB ~ (T) ~ Mon, Nov 14 '11 22:56 (UTC)
Mainly what I've used is just the basic free stuff like VirtualDub. My video editing usually doesn't go beyond deinterlacing, noise reduction, some cut-and-splice maneuvers and audio synching. I actually prefer the look of real vintage film over everything else, so I don't really do much in the line of heavy processing. I still use a VHS camcorder for this reason! I used to work with foreign films a lot, and would attempt to hardcode subtitles into them. The only problem was my affinity for DVDs and old school televisions... Overscan always got in the way.
When I needed something more in-depth, I would use some "home user" thing like PowerDirector. Very simple, but it got the job done--and it's lot more precise than Windows Booby Maker, though that doesn't take a lot... Lately I've just been doing encoding, and any one of the many variants of TMPGEnc is very reliable for this purpose. They have a video editor too, but it's kinda bleh. I've heard iLife is one of the best video editors out there, which explains why someone told me years ago that PCs are terrible for video... But as unimpressed as I am, I still haven't ditched Bill Gates' design yet. I suppose I never could get used to the Mac's silly navigation system. But hey, 640K of RAM ought to be enough for anybody, right!?? >_< -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).06:21 November 15, 2011 (UTC)
Now the dust has settled on another exciting Turkey Day Ball competition its time for all those kind volunteers to set to judging. The results day is next saturday, the 10th December, so it should give everyone enough time to pick their winning entries, if you are not going to be able to complete in this time give us the heads up. Your results should be revealed here. Thank you for your time... -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
Deadline is tomorrow at something o'clock....let me know if you will have any problems finalising your judgin'? -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
I'd say merry christmas, but I've just realized many people celebrate other stuff. Anyways, hope you have a good one and I'll start working on Navi soon. Realized I haven't been doing much with it. Sorry about that. --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა) 16:43, December 26, 2011 (UTC)
No worries, mate! I've been out doing other stuff lately (NUDGE NUDGE, WINK WINK). My Christmas was fantastic, and I hope yours was great too. Unless it was Festivus, but that's always awesome! As for Navi, I can't really think of anywhere else to go with it... and I can't really figure out the code to tile the page background properly... 6_9 -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).11:46 December 27, 2011 (UTC)
In regards to Navi, I tried to fix the background screen but couldn't so I sought professional advice and they couldn't either. The best thing that can be done is to tell the reader to upgrade their browser. In case you were interested to know. --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა) 02:25, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
I have gone through my records and it appears as though you may have voted for me for some award, supported one or more of my articles on VFH, or supported one or more of my images on VFP, in the past year or so. If this is not the case, then please ignore this message. Otherwise, thank you for your support. May you have a long and fruitful life, and have many parasites. 1234~18:57, 6 January 2012

Ah yes... it really has been a while, hasn't it? Wait, what's this I see? No one has nommed me for Zombie of the Month?? What a pity--I always thought I'd make a good one. :P
Anyway, the reason for my absence is because I have been busy with my new website called Ponydom. I have since assumed the identity of one "Rainbowmobile" over there. However, if the cause needs me, I'm sure I can find the time to lurk VFD once again... ^_^ -- Sir"TheSlyPony"Invariably certifiable.Rap sheet. His greatest achievement (and bizarre obsession).15:26 March 18, 2012 (UTC)
WOW! A brand new UnNews competition and we need you! Either prepare yourself mentally for the severity of the trials (don't sign up just yet, you cheat!) or commit your soul as a judge right now. May the Lord shine his blessings upon thee! Mattsnow 16:45, March 20, 2012 (UTC)
I'm sure that's not news. But feel free to add {{User:PuppyOnTheRadio/PBJ}} to your user page to show everyone how clever you are.
As for the method of judging - I recorded this thingy earlier, but the long and the short of it - you will be judging every article in the category for which you chose to judge. I will create a judging page later on that allows you to add a comment/link to each article you judge, along with a score. The ideal is that you score one a scale of 0.0 - 10.0 in total, but if you want to score out of 100, or 50, or 8.9, you can do that as well, as long as you put in the max score in as well. (It will become apparent once I've actually created the judging page.) Judging will start on the 1st (sort of). I've actually allowed a days grace for people to complain about entries or submit a late entry with a good excuse (ie: I was dead for two weeks for tax purposes). I'll keep you posted.
