edit Rembrandt

I wrote on my other talkpage to say I am more interested in your ideas and criticism than your images, which I have enough of. I'm not sure if this link will work (fuck off wikia) but here is Rembrandt now: http://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/User:Everyotherusernamewastaken/Rembrandt By the way I'm liking the Raphael portrait. --Sigphoto|(get dtf) 13:53, January 10, 2015 (UTC)

OK. I will check later. You can add links from here if it is relevant to the discussion - which it is. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 15:23, January 10, 2015 (UTC)

edit ramblings

In answer to your question of yesterday there's this (a huge reason why the article, or if not the article at least the history, should be deleted), please read the interview in the first post. People working on it and probably the staff and offices of wikia itself are not considered civilians, but enemy combatants. Maybe this note can be deleted as well once you read it, thanks. And who dares awake London Underground 14:04 10 January, 2015 (UTC)

Let me speak more clearly than you are doing. Given an UnNews that did not violate but merely mocked the Muslim notion that no one should display a picture of the prophet, you are pointing offsite to the words of a savage, recently killed in a shoot-out of his making, that implies that our publication would include us in a set of people he feels justified in murdering. You are suggesting that we appease the dead savage and censor ourselves, then delete your request. Censorship is not appropriate, and communicating threats to our contributors is not appropriate. Separately, go to hell. Spıke Ѧ 14:29 10-Jan-15
London Underground is obviously referring to the mohammad article itself, which is linked in the unnews. The people who worked on it and put in the pictures and really insulting stuff are now looked upon as enemy combatants, per the interview linked. By linking that page to this unnews, and keeping the history of the page intact, yes, we are putting people and the offices and personnel of wikia in danger. Not play danger, real danger, real-world soldier-vs-enemy danger. Please address that, and please get rid of the Mohammad article or, as Mr. Underground asks, at least the history pages. That just makes very common sense, and I don't know why that hasn't been acted upon already (the history). I remember I put the article up for deletion, and it was saved. And now at this exact time it has to be linked in main page articles? Uncy is playing with fire here, and I ask for people at wikia to be immediately called and consulted about deleting both it and, or at least, the history page. And by immediately I mean right now, pick up the phone. Aleister 15:09 10 1 15
Think we getting a bit overdone on all of this. Article remains, so does the history. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 15:25, January 10, 2015 (UTC)
I don't think it's overdone. Have you read and seen the mohammad page? Again, I ask you or someone to call the people in charge of Wikia, and do so now. You don't think this can escalate? This isn't about user and admin, this is a real world situation which could be publicized, tweeted, linked to facebook, etc, at any moment. Even if the page is kept, there is no reason to keep the history, especially in this era of insanity. Have you read the interview linked above? Aleister 15:32 10 1 15
My own view on the article is that what we have there is the least worst option. Hiding the history solves nothing and I think you're being a touch 'Alesterical' about this. Stop watching Fox News. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 22:15, January 10, 2015 (UTC)

edit Adamwashere

We have an unhappy customer; it might help for a third party to review and intervene, as he thinks I have it in for him (and not just for his edits). Spıke Ѧ 13:44 11-Jan-15

OK, let me see. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 13:54, January 11, 2015 (UTC)

My reply to him references Special:DeletedContributions/Adamwashere, such as the never-used File:HeySpike!.png.

Left a message. I think the change was too drastic anyway. The example of Washington DC is different in that it was created as 'super state' about the others deliberately. Like Canberra in Australia or Brasilia in Brazil. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 14:07, January 11, 2015 (UTC)

Deadline for edits has passed! My category (one entry!) is already judged! Spıke Ѧ 14:47 11-Jan-15

Oh, I hadn't checked the date. I wasn't expecting mine to be a winner anyway - just a space filler. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 14:48, January 11, 2015 (UTC)

edit User:Romartus/Amazon Women

You own it!

Problem user Adamwashere has invited his girlfriend aboard, telling her to watch out for me. I explained at User talk:Karaishererightnow‎ that she doesn't have to, and he has to watch quite carefully. I expect them back on in a few hours (western Canada). Spıke Ѧ 23:19 15-Jan-15

Thanks for moving Amazon women. See if I can improve what was there. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 13:33, January 16, 2015 (UTC)

edit UnNews:Pope counter-punches in free-speech fight

Amazing news story, and good treatment! I've copy-edited it and added a little. Spıke Ѧ 13:05 16-Jan-15

That's fine Spike, thanks for the edits. I may tinker with it a little more but UnNews articles are better being 'briefer' without going into detail - that's why the link is important. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 13:32, January 16, 2015 (UTC)

As always, I think that providing some baseline background in the story would make the reader laugh enough to click the link. It is much funnier lifting stuff from the Source that shows the Pope's repeated references to assault, than to have the reader think we made the "boxing" theme up out of thin air.

Separately, we have a new submission, UnNews:Saudi Fuckfest on Hold, written overtly to disparage Saudi Arabia (not that it doesn't deserve it) rather than amuse. I'm thinking Mercy Move. Spıke Ѧ 14:01 16-Jan-15

PS--Did more than thinking, with recommendations to author Necessary Evil. Spıke Ѧ 15:54 16-Jan-15

edit UnNews:World's most unreliable clock reset again

I don't know what to do about this UnNews from veteran but very sporadic contributor Jimlemon. It is at heart advocacy — its humor is to show that the nuclear-armageddon activists are already funny because they are so stupid. It is not entirely advocacy, as when it takes a fun turn into Daylight Savings Time, and I happen to agree that the butt of this joke have made themselves a butt. If it were a jaunty slam at a favorite politician, I might not be so undecided. It is marked {{Original}} (I coded it correctly) but in fact is based on a news story from yesterday, that the "doomsday clock" got adjusted based on data pulled from a bodily orifice. What do you think? Spıke Ѧ 15:27 23-Jan-15

I know you are a 'hammer' as regards advocacy here Spike but as you can see the Daily Mail on-line, that is full of 'advocacy' by American newspaper standards. Anyway, an UnNews has always been a lot broader than perhaps the other articles here. The story at least relates to something in the news rather than just riff on a totally obscure subject. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 19:04, January 23, 2015 (UTC)

edit Needing attention

Cipica I of England has been put back in mainspace over my userspacing. Cipica could be the Engineering College at Ica, Peru, or vanity from one of two Facebook accounts, but at Wikipedia, it's nothing.

Funnybony's latest UnNews on the dead Saudi king is more unveiled advocacy with just enough puns to technically qualify for admission. Unlike the others, it is an overtly tasteless anti-eulogy. Spıke Ѧ 22:05 24-Jan-15

I never heard of Cipica so looks like weird vanity. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 09:53, January 26, 2015 (UTC)
