Mhaille, when you get the time can you sort this page out, noobishly i created the nutkins on the wrong page http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Terry_nutkins

now moved to Terry Nutkins you know the nutkins is king!

  • Update, my Nutkins article go an NRV on it, they might not be familiar with who terry nutkins is due to their american patronage or something. Let me know if you can resolve this as its not a crap article and I have made numerous changes to the page. Just thumb over it and if you feel its worthy of being kept get rid of the NRV? I'm too scared to do it myself, hit me back on my talky talky page with and suggestions. And besides, it's not all lies, as you well know he was actually mauled by an otter and lost 2 fingers.

I do apologise for outwardly intruding into your space but forgive me, I'm a UKER!

Yah Terry Nutkins.....the man is a collosus amongst naturists.......oh and the page is deleted. :) -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)

Enlighten me

Hi there, and thank you for successful co-writing on Goa Tse.

To make you worthy a vote for Uncyclopedian of the month, please advice me on the Åland Islands issue. I started the page, User:84.230.253.72 added a lot of changes, mostly confusing re-directions and a couple of random poo jokes. I reverted it all, planning to add a few not entirely hopless lines from him later. But before getting time to do so, he NRV-tagged the page.

I see this NRV-tagging as a pure revenge for my revert. Now I wonder, Enlightened one, what to do? This NRV seem unfair and should be removed, but in fear of the ban stick I do not dare to do it myself. I have told 84.230.253.72 this and invited him to make some jokes instead of confusing re-directions, so he is not excluded from editing once he decides to get his act together. --Suresh simple Swami A. Suresh 15:10, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

So... well... lucky for me Isra enlightened me instead...--Suresh simple Swami A. Suresh 08:05, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey, Cool

You made my day with the Rocket-Propelled Eiffel Tower image. Wait, that means my day can only go downhill from here on. Oh well, thanks! --Iritscen 16:20, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

TCO'd

Mhaille, I decided not to wait, but it looks like everything made it over OK, and I think I got all the double redirects. Happy quoting...  c • > • cunwapquc? 07:40, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Like it.....hopefully if we can keep the wolves from the door it can expand into a great little section within the site. Love your additions to Arthur C. Clarke......my only negative is that I think the Making Up Quotes image looked great, the Quote/UNQuote one is fine, but the former was better.... :) -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)
You meant the logo with the black background? I could always re-adapt that. It turns out "QuoteUnquote:" isn't really a namespace, is it? It isn't listed in the search page's combobox, and I noticed that I had to add a colon to the beginning of the nav template to get it to include... Also, {{NAMESPACE}} doesn't work, so if I ever do manage to convince people to change the name to "Unquotable" (not sure why they didn't pick that to begin with, it's the only choice in my opinion), I'll have to go back into a bunch of pages and fix 'em all one-by-one. Not that it's a huge undertaking, but still. Anyway, there are two more logos to vote on at Uncyclopedia:Logos#QuoteUnquote, but if the 'space isn't going to get its own logo at all, then you're probably right, I should adapt and replace the black one. Had you not seen the edits to Arthur C. until just today? Surely not?  c • > • cunwapquc? 14:21, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Just added another......yeah only just got round to checking Arthur. Busy, busy, busy..... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)

Damn. You finaly realized the dream I had months ago, and which I have not had any time to work on. Very sexy. If I could change one thing, it would be to find and delete every occurance of "making up", because we're not god damn making this shit up. Regardless, nice work on the QuoteUnquote pages, and I'll probably have the time to help out sometime in late June/July. Bone_F_clear.png Sir Famine, Gun Petition » 01:21, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

I'll look forward to it! And don't worry, I'll get rid of the "making up" references in the pages, but I still would like to keep the redirects around if only to avoid breaking links from outside web sites. And thank you for the compliment! I am quite sexy, in fact.  c • > • cunwapquc? 01:25, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
I saw your picture and I couldn't help myself. Time for sweet, sweet dreams for me now.... Bone_F_clear.png Sir Famine, Gun Petition » 03:48, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey, thanks!

Hey, I haven't upset you/offended you/pissed you off too badly because of this whole quotes-pages-on-VFD thing, have I? (You never replied to the discussion entry immediately below this one.) If so, I really am sorry about that. I guess maybe I panicked... I'm beginning to think I had the right idea to begin with, i.e., trying to get rid of the bad ones gradually over several weeks instead of putting all five up there at once. But they forced my hand, man! What was I supposed to do? Anyway, I'm still your biggest fan, Mhaille... After all, anyone who knows who Vera Lynn is has to be cool, right? --Some user 22:28, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Not at all. Busy with work, deleting crap, family life, building bedroom furniture, usual stuff. I've tried to keep my eye on the Quotes pages and related discussions, even volunteered to "look after" the entire section....I'm more than hopeful that everything is moving along swimmingly..... :) -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)
Okay, no rush at this point, as far as I'm concerned. Though I'm still puzzled as to why Flammable and Gwax don't cast votes on those five pages... Anyway: I just made you a nice present. Sort of what you had in mind, I hope? I probably should've begged Mahroww to do the dartboard, though... He's better at that stuff than I am!  c • > • cunwapquc? 00:38, 28 February 2006 (UTC) (I tried building bedroom furniture once... AAACK! Never again!)

Moving Day?

Mhaille, should we start the process of moving the quotes pages over to the QuoteUnquote: namespace now, before this Nerd42 person starts getting any more bright ideas? I mean, I don't know the ins and outs of the CCSAL, but it seems to me there's precious little we can do to keep him from sporking the whole MONKEY BALLS web site, as long as he attributes it. And why doesn't he get banned or something for reverting all your (no doubt time-consuming) edits to this thing? And last but not least, thank you for being so cool with Mahroww; I was afraid I may have inadvertently dragged him into a silly little spat that should never have happened, and might have blown up needlessly if not for you. You're a good guy, Mhaille, and don't ever listen to that dumb-ass parole officer who says otherwise.  c • > • cunwapquc? 20:50, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Ugh, you know...If I had a quarter for everytime someone called me a dumb-ass I could retire. BTW Mhalle, since your secret is out, don't forget to come see me next week, we can talk about what a "good guy" you really are. And don't forget to do your community service. :) -- – Mahroww a.k.a. Artemis Toro Heiney  07:03, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

PS. I just posted a "welcome" page mock-up at the usual place. It's probably too late to rename the namespace to "Unquotable," but a guy can dream, can't he? --Some user 06:12, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Deleations and stuff

Why do you deleate others work? Do you have nothing better to do?

Thanks for asking. Yes I have plently to do, but as an Admin on this fine site I have a duty to delete crap, one line "articles" and stuff about people's friends been gay. Thats the job we do. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)

It wasn't meant to be an article, it was meant to be a definition for the word. Do you guys really read everything posted?

Yep. Every single post. We are quality control. :) If you want to add it to the UnDictionary section please do, the Uncyclopedia section is meant for spoof encyclopedia articles, ie considerably longer that a one line gag. Have a look around the site, sometimes you might find an existing article that your joke will fit into. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)
You have deleted the page Amin Milani Fard too, why did you do this? you might think that I don't know what does it mean HTBFANJS, you. that's right. and you guess right. I'm the fucking n00b. PS. that was about somthing called papergenerating in computer science. what they do is writing a mixture of words and stuffs like fuzzy and neural network and graphs and .... this i think is funny

Much ado about quoting

Hey, Mhaille. You seem to have taken a modicum of interest in my doings in the past for some reason, and I see you've started a new quotes page, and one of the existing ones is yours, so I'm going to pick on you (sorry). As you know, I've been cleaning up the quotes pages for the last several weeks, and it looks like people are starting to notice. But that's not always a good thing! So should I be upset that User:Ghelae added Making up February 3rd quotes to Template:QuotesPages without asking anyone if it "fit" there? It's clearly dilatory and substandard in its current condition, but maybe I shouldn't point fingers since I myself added Making up Cthulhu quotes without asking. Still, that was finished, and this isn't even close. Heck, he added the link before the page even existed. The fact is, as bad as the article seems to be, I can't really say it's all that much worse than Making up Star Trek quotes or even Making up Thomas Jefferson quotes, both of which I'm probably going to put up for VFD in the next few days or so. I'd like to get your opinion on the matter (and/or those of other admins) before I go much further with this... I'm trying not to treat it like a big deal, but it seems rather disrespectful somehow. - -  c • > • cunwapquc? 01:31, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Hmmmmmm, difficult one. I personally can't see the point of the Feb 3rd "quotes" but I guess humour is subjective, by all means put them in VFD, but if they pass the litmus test we have to live with the consequences. The price we pay for been a Wiki. As much as I would like to see a better quality of "funny" across the board, I know that we can only realistically aim to define acceptable levels. To me, the articles that you are highlighting would squeeze through, they are reasonably well formatted and do contain some funny. With a bit of TLC they could become worthwhile Uncyclopedia articles. Maybe not the Feb 3rd one though. :) -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)
I guess that's reasonable. It just seemed a little... cheeky. Anyway, looks like Todd put the NRV tag on it today, sparing me from having to be the bad guy, so Todd, if you're reading this, thanks for that! I'll keep my fingers crossed on the VFD's, and meanwhile if you'd like me to add any more Noel Coward quotes, let me know, OK? Good luck, man, and keep up the good work! --Some user 02:09, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
I do think that Noel Coward, Arthur C. Clarke, Thomas Jefferson, et al, would benefit some of your excellent portrait work, so that they at least appear to be a part of the same section. By all means add to Noel Coward, the more the merrier as he was often heard to say. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)
In case you didn't see it on Recent Changes, please check out this page dedicated to the subject... - -  c • > • cunwapquc? 17:59, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Your assistance was appreciated.

Just wanted to say thanks for the message and the clarification of the redirect. I tried to get the syntax right, but there must have been something I missed. Ah well, I never claimed to be perfect. I love this website. Though it ranges fully from Spectacular to Craptacular, it doubtlessly has it's gems of humor. Hopefully, I won't be detracting too greatly from it's savory goodness. -User:TD

Nice to meet you Mhaille- etc. I know this whole website is a huge collaboration, but I take pride in anything I work on, and always like to meet fellow authors. WotM

I'm still never sure whether I should be writing these at the top or the bottom. Seems like no-one else has a clue either.  :)

Anyway, I figured I'd take a few minutes away from my drywalling activities and thank you for the vote. It's true that I have a hangup about needing to feel like a writer first and an admin second, even though I'm gratified to be in the club. As soon as I win GUN I can relax at bit, and just write whatever I want. As it is, I've been feeling pressure to write a bunch of stuff (which I think is still good), in hopes of trying to figure out what people like. Between OCD and RMS, it's been a good run since Christmas. Anyway, I'm seriously babbling now. Thanks for batting for me. It's my goal to write something someday that you'll like better than F.e.C. You're a tough audience, but I'm not giving up.  :) ~ T. (talk) 05:00, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

LOL! Thanks for your inspired changes to the awards template. While Keitei's entry was sweet enough, it was perhaps a bit too straight forward. On a lighter note, now there's basically nothing left to win around here, so (a) my name won't be cluttering up the front page, (c) I can write whatever I want and pretend its great (even if it sucks golf balls), and (x)... ... ...well, I dunno. But amongst my many compulsions is the need to express thoughts in lists of three.  :) Anyway, well done, you! And me. Us. And good luck to the Wildeboys.  :) ~ T. (talk) 12:42, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

Frank Lampard

Why did you delete the Frank Lampard page. Just beause you thought it wasnt funny doesn't mean that me, an many other people that saw it thought it was very funny.

Oh an just for the record I support Aston Villa not Chelsea.

Any vesitages of humour were been swallowed up with "Frank Lampard is brilliant" comments. It was just becoming a rant by Chelsea fans. I have deliberately never edited any Liverpool FC related articles because any bias could remove the even handed humour. I'd be happy to put the article back if you think it could be expanded into a real article. P.S. You might consider signing up for an account too. :) -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)

White supremacy

> (deleted "White supremacy": not really that funny.....sadly)

If "really funny" is a survival requirement, then who left all these unfunny articles about? This place is a mess. (laughs)
If satricial truth doesn't cut it, I'd suggest removing the 'White supremacy' link from 'Requested Articles'. That is, unless we're waiting for an ex-writer for 'Three's Company' to come along and make it a feel-good article about silly whities in polyester and floppy clown shoes. (laughs)
So long as I'm writing, I suggest you delete 'profanity' as well. It's not funny either. Your reaction suggests you either didn't see it, or have different evaluation criteria for less emotionally charged submissions.
I guffaw loudly, and bid you good day.

--Guffawing Crow 19:31, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Mr Crow, it was nothing personal, but whether it was the style or the structure of the recently departed article I don't know, but it just didn't make me snicker never mind guffaw. I appreciate that humour is subjective, but this just did nothing for me. Now I imagine you could easily look through some of my "contributions" and say the same, but the important thing is that I have been granted Administration rights to abuse as I see fit. :)
I can reinstate the article and tag it with a NRV so its safe for the next seven days, if you think its something that can be saved. Let me know..... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)
