edit I was blocked for no reason

I was blocked by User:Flammable KUN for no reason. I discussed the changes with him/her on her/his talk page and I thought we came to an agreement.--Hot dog 23:08, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Hmm..I assume this was most likely an oversight although you could probably reach him at UN:IRC if you want to discuss the issue. The ban was only 10 minutes and should be over by now, in any case. MadMax 23:40, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

edit Reverted edit: "Your mother"

Why did you just revert my changing "Your mother" into an article? I realize that we already had "Your mom" but Uncyclopedia has plenty of articles with titles very similar to other articles. What was wrong with this one? Doofus 03:15, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

It was previous merged to Your mom a few months ago (if you'll notice the merged tag at the top of the talk page. I can restore your version to your user page if you'd like. MadMax 03:17, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

What do you mean by "restore your version to your user page"? Doofus 03:31, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

What I mean is that I would use the page move feature (or in this case copy/paste) your article into a subpage under your Username (ex. User:Doofus/Your mother). As Your mom is curently in UN:VFD as well as currently under a rewrite, you might want to keep working on your version until this is resolved. MadMax 03:50, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Okay. Go ahead. Thanks. Doofus 04:01, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

edit Richard Feynmann

Hi Madmax. Why did you delete Richard Feynmann? I wrote "You probably meant Richard Feynman. Retard" which I thought was pretty funny. Was this page against some uncyclopedia policy? Or did space aliens make you do it? 139.166.245.10 12:57, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Unfortunatly, one-liners are included as part of Uncyclopedia's deletion policies and in some cases considered a bannable offence. MadMax 13:02, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi again. I didn't know about the policy on one-liners. I'll put a bit more effort in this time. best wishes, Robinh 20:10, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

The murder of infinity was abrupt. I had a joke there...--Suresh simple Swami A. Suresh 22:04, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Wasn't my call unfortunatly (7 votes for delete and only 2 to keep). I'd be more then happy to restore it to your user page. MadMax 04:04, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

A shame. I recently added a Very Good Cantor-Joke there, but omitted to erase all the following BS , out of pure courtesy, a mistake I often make. If you can restore the page, keep the first paragraph about infinity as a concept to prove math erroneous, I think thats a good start for a new beginning. Alternatively I can paste it on the Cantor page, which also is in need for a refreshment. --Suresh simple Swami A. Suresh 07:01, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

edit Canada Article

wiki/Canada or Canada

I was hoping to make some edits to the Canada article. Do you happen to know of a way I could find out when this will be unprotected?

KnowItSome 16:34, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

  • I believe its been protected for an indefinite period for unregistered accounts, although as far as I'm aware registered users are still able to edit Canada. You can talk to either of the administrators who protected it, User:Tompkins or User:Hinoa, or ask an admin on UN:IRC. MadMax 16:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

edit Small complaint: Merging with Poor People with The Poor

I really believe The Poor stands alone as an article and can't be merged. If it were to be merged, which it was, then the two narratives of each article would conflict terribly. The difference in quality between Hardwick Fundlebuggy's intellectual prose and concept is bitterly cut apart with the sudden inclusion of Poor People This effectively juxtaposes the two merged articles in a far from good way, and I request the two to be unmerged.

If the whole "two articles on the same concept" thing bothers you, though, as I know it could easily do to some efficiency-driven Uncyclopedians (keep up the good work), I'll put Poor People up on VFD, and if deleted it can be made a redirect. --Littleboyonly TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK Oldmanonly 22:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Not at all. I merged the article because there had had been a long request to do so. I could easily replace it with a {{whoops}} tag. Thanks for letting me know. MadMax 05:52, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

I've restored the article with a {{construction}} template, however it was deleted after being tagged with an {{ICU}} template. You might want to use the construction template if your still working on the article. MadMax 19:04, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

edit What have you done?

I'm really irritated at you, MadMax. What have you done to my "The Legend of Zelda" article? It's a parody of Wikipedia's The Legend of Zelda article. The Legend O'Zelda article was somebody's piss poor attempt at parodying The Legend of Zelda (series) article. Ultimately, it was less funny and I have no idea why you didn't redirect the other page to the one I created. You can't just move entire articles without discussing it with the original author. There was no justification for moving the article and no template asking for the article to be deleted. Thanks a lot. Now I've got to rewrite the entire thing from scratch. Wolf ODonnell 14:35, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

From what I can tell from the deletion log, The Legend of Zelda was deleted by User:Zombiebaron a few days ago after its maintenance tag expired. I simply redirected the red link from the Wanted pages to its nearest related article, that being the The Legend O' Zelda. However, there's no need to start from scratch if you find your article's been deleted. The easiest way would be to contact the administrator who originally deleted your article and ask him to restore it. I'll redirect the links back to the original articles as soon as I can. MadMax 19:04, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

edit Vice President Voldermort

You huffed my entry for Horcrux... Admittedly, it was a little on the short side, but brevity is often the soul of wit. I actually got a lot of good feedback on the bit about Mary Cheney's labia ring. How did it not measure up to standards? ----Schwartzini 22:33, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Your article was tagged with an {{ICU}} tag and the article was unfortunatly deleted when the tag expired. I've restored the article to your user page, although you might want to visit Uncyclopedia:Pee Review if you need some help improving the article. MadMax 19:04, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

edit Excuse me

Do Wikipedia bans and policies apply here, too? Connell66 07:49, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Uncyclopedia has similar policies to Wikipedia, although I believe being banned from Wikipedia doesn't have an effect on editing Uncyclopedia or another seperate wiki project. MadMax 07:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh, thank god! Seriously, I'm quite infamous there these days. Just needed to make sure. I promise that I'll always say things from a point of view perspective, never verify stuff, follow the code of content, ensure what I say is funny, and perhaps most importantly, ignore all of the policies when they interfere with humor here. Connell66 07:57, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

edit You forgot to write a reason for deleting my most recent article

If you think the article sucked, then fine, but at least have the time to state why in contrast to the time I spent writing it. The article "Top ten most unlikely theories surrounding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann" was controversial, but not exactly outright flameage. Your reason? The preceding unsigned comment was added by MeteoriK (talk • contribs)

  • MeteorX,
Your article was deleted because someone listed it on QVFD, not because of my own personal opinion. However, while I'm only vaguely familiar with Madeleine McCann which was also similarly deleted, I would assume others have never heard of her not that the article itself is controversial in anyway. I can move the article to your user space if you'd like, however I would suggest in the future you should consider using the {{wikipedia}} and {{construction}} templates when creating short articles. MadMax 18:42, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for clarifying that. In future I will endeavour to write articles on more familiar known topics, such as the coagulation of protein molecules in a lactose-based emulsion. :-) The preceding unsigned comment was added by MeteoriK (talk • contribs)

  • I only mention it as obviously what might be familiar to someone in Australia, such as The Chaser's War on Everything or The Boony Doll (both of which recently nominated for VFD) might seem like vanity or incoherent nonsense to someone in North America or Great Britain and vice versa. As for your next project, I might suggest using the {{AOC}} template. ;-) MadMax 19:55, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

edit slow down, you're moving too fast

I'm going to dis-merge the Ol' Dirty Bastard article you just merged with another. If you read it, you'll see that they totally don't work together. It was the same thing when you smashed the Evangelion articles together. I was able to work with that one, but for ODB it's just a pain in the ass, so I'm just reverting it. On an unrelated note, some time ago you put an irrelevant category on the Dissociative Identity Disorder article, which was protected, and for a reason. I don't know if you're trying to break the world record for edits on a wiki or something, but I suggest you try to focus more on quality instead of hack-job quantity. --So So 00:04, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

I had merged the two articles because they had been requested by another editor, not based my own personal opinion. Any editor is free to revert my changes or otherwise request I revert the move, however I do try my best when merging articles and I haven't received a complaint from anyone about any of the articles I've merged, specifically while cleaning out the 60+ articles in Category:Articles to be merged a few months ago. As for the category on Dissociative Identity Disorder, I thought it seemed to fit the article. If you have a problem with the category, then feel free to suggest an alternative one on the talk page and I'll be glad to change it.
I personally have no idea of the number of my edits, however my edit count is hardly motivation for editing. If you'll read the notice on the top of my talk page, I generally deal in maintenance and formatting issues which obviously accumulate faster then editors who focus on satire writing. As I've been around since early 2005, I'm guessing these edits would probably pile up however I'm not trying to increase my edit count by making unhelpful edits. If you have an issue with this, you're certainly free to take it up with another administrator to review my recent edits. MadMax 03:54, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

The way you fixed up the ODB article now with the whoops! thing is perfect. Thanks. I'm not against merging articles, and your other merges may have been just beautiful (I don't know, I didn't check) but I am against slamming together two things with totally different styles and tones and leaving the chaos for someone else to sort out or revert. Nevertheless, you took care of it; case closed.

Just one more thing: I know that the DID article category you used is an ICP reference, but was your intent to choose something random to fit the random nature of the article? Just curious. --So So 10:36, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

I'll put a notice on {{merge}} asking for a discussion on the article talk page before merging. If no discussion takes place, the tag should be removed after a week. I hope that should resolve the problem.
As for the category on DID, I searched nearly 3,000 categories looking for some bizarre enough category however I only found only three or four which might have worked. I'm not really an ICP fan so I wasn't familiar with the reference when I added it. Again, please feel free to suggest a replacement and I'll be happy to change it. edit about the May (Pokemon) article

I'm going to make the May (Pokemon) funny and getting it closer to the truth as good as possible. Also, it was my fault that the page got into the CVP because I added some of the repeated images in (as well as some sex and political message). Therefore I'm planning to make a mass rewrite on the May article in my userpage and then have it pee reviewed (after all, getting closer to the truth is better than BullShitted lies). If it turns out good, then can you remove the May (pokemon) out of the CVP. --Dark Paladin X 09:55, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

edit Mangina.jpg image

I did not realize that the image would be considered a shock image. If I pixelate the manginas will that make it SFW? JayKeaton 00:12, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Anyway, this here is the edited image Image:Mangina.jpg. The image is free, but since it has been edited for parody reasons I uploaded it under parody this time. Instead of pixelating, like they do to the naughty people walking out of court on tv, I strategically covered up any shocking bits with split cantaloupe, which funnily enough look like a vagina in itself. Except they are fruit, not vaginas. In any case, I wont put it in any articles until you have approved it. Cheers ^_^ JayKeaton 00:57, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Sure, that's fine. You should probably use {{NSFWImage}} when uplading risque images in the future. MadMax 18:52, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, it wasn't really vanity, I just couldn't think of any better, or funnier, demonstration of what a mangina is than showing people. I figured since any genitalia is, technically tucked away that it wouldn't be that shocking ^_^ JayKeaton 06:07, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello your most Admin-ness.. Could you please point a N00b in the direction of some info on creating and deleting pages within my user pages? I have tried to find some in the help (well the faq and read some of the rest, but am in a mess! http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/User:MrN9000/Sandbox1

What't the difference?

I'm trying to create a place(s) where I can mess about and save stuff, but would also like to be able to have a link to them on my main page. I guess there is some "domain" type issue going on here... Where is it ok to play (and save stuff) and what is open to the rest of the world (who probably dont want to see it yet (if ever)).

Also how to I delete a page in my "user space" if thats the term. Forgive me if this was obvious, thanks. User:Mrn9000 10:03, 11 November 2007 (GMT)

If you want to create a subpage, you need to create a page under your user name (ex. User:MrN9000/sandbox). Otherwise, you're just creating it on mainspace (where regular articles are created, heffed, etc.) Whenever you want to delete a subpage, you can list the page on QVFD or contact your friendly neighborhood Admin. edit Clive Barker

Good day sir. I created the Clive barker page that had the same level of integrity as the AAAAA! site. (essentially, I created the start of one) at the time of deletion, there were two large paragraps of text that had most the words wrapped with "Clive Barker's Clive Barker's XXX by Clive Barker". It also had a broke presidential box, and an image. I'd like to know more about why it was deleted, etc etc. JackpotDen 22:44, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Actually, it was User:Mordillo who deleted Clive Barker (see [1]). I did, however, delete Clive barker however this was a copy of Clive Barker. I can restore the article on your userpage (ex. • Hey Maxie. Why are you welcoming IPs? I'd ban you, but I figure this is probably a better way... -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 22:36, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
  • Well, I generally try to use the welcome tag for anonymous IPs who, for the most part, make helpful contributions. I'd like to think that it would encourage anonymous users to continue their edits if they felt their contributions were appreciated (and for a few who might eventually consider registering for an account). Admittedly, some of these are probably proxy IP addresses so I could delete them if you think its a waste of time. I do appreciate your talking to me about it beforehand. I suppose I probably should have asked someone first, although I didn't really think it was a particularly important issue to bother someone with. I'm sure I'm bothered Mhaille with some fairly trivial questions in the past, and I usually try to do that as little as possible. :) MadMax 04:23, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Lol. Well, to be honest, I try not to ban anyone unless I absolutely have to (and even then its towards cyberbullying, mass vandalism/blanking, etc.). While I know it's all in fun, when it gets out of hand it causes users far more helpful then me to leave. MadMax 11:42, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

I think that whole issue was out of proportion, but hell, you make a good point. ~ Mordillo where is my TWISTY VAGINA? 11:43, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

It was recreated after deletion and keeps on getting recreated. Can you delete again and list the page on UN:CVP--Æ 20:20, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Can you store the article in your userspace. I would gladly appriciate an original article not getting deleted. --NXWave 22:09, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Sure thing, although I did move it to User:Tom mayfair/Mr. Winkler as part of the spinoff series he did. Its used with an <choose> feature, so it should come up every first (or last) page view. MadMax 22:14, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

No inconvienience. :) I assumed it was a joke and moved the comment to his talk page. MadMax 14:43, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for locking my userpage. I wanted to make sure you understood I was jokeing as some bans were wrongfully issued in the past. --Æ 14:46, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

edit Lithuania

Just noticed this edit removed a link, "Message for the Lithuanians: read the [http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Talk:Lithuania discussions] before editing.<br> '''The Lithuanian-language version of these pages has moved and is now [http://juokopedija.org/wiki/Lietuva here]'''." edit Schrödinger's cat and deleted image

I would like to let you know that the image you tried to add to Schrödinger's cat was deleted shortly after its addition. I don't remember seeing the image prior to its deletion, and no informative edit summary was provided for the deletion (as shown in the deletion log linked above), so I can't comment on why it was deleted.
