Very, very consensual sex, officer. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 01:36, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Excellent. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 01:44, 5 March 2011
Two admins talking in code. I sense the cabal in the words. We are all going to be in trouble when it gells, aren't we? Aleister 1:48 5-3-'11
Questioning our code?? Next time, your block is going to be twice as long. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 01:52, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
But we haven't even brought in the batmoose... also, Hyperbole, darling, I'm actually sort of working on getting that news thing set up for you, now. Really. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 01:57, 5 March 2011
Awesome. Having you do work makes it easier to fool people into thinking I do work. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 01:58, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
The first letter of each word in Lyrithya's post spells: Bw he bith bah diaso wog tnt sufy nr. And you two thought you could get away with this? Seriously? Aleister 2:01 5-3-'11

Having a pile of 'code' on one screen makes it easier to fool people into thinking I do work, too.
And really, Aleister, you think we'd use so simple of an encryption? 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 02:04, 5 March 2011

edit You

Want to write the monthly awards blurbs. Before I or Zombiebaron or Zim ulator or someone else does it. Admit it, you do. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 02:35, 5 March 2011

Also, you don't need to comment on VFD things that they've been deleted if they've been deleted. It's pretty obvious, unless you're creating a new page, say, a redirect or something, afterwards, in which case you'd also want to put a {{VFDc}} on it. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 03:05, 5 March 2011

Well, that all makes sense. I'll write the blurbs if I find the energy. It's 7:28pm and I'm still hung over. Goddamn devil tequila. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 03:29, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
At least you're not still procrastinating from something you decided to do yesterday... are you? 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 03:40, 5 March 2011
You have no idea. I abandoned a suitcase in Vegas and asked a guy to hold it for me for a night until I could pick it up. It's been two weeks. I haven't worn deodorant in two weeks. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 03:41, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, that's a whole other matter. Anything lasts that long, I'll just forget it completely. Lucky you that you haven't... or does the deodorant actually make a difference after all, despite what you may insist? 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 03:43, 5 March 2011
Well, as I think I pointed out the other day, it turns out that Listerine is actually about twice as effective as deodorant, making me wonder why deodorant even exists. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 03:46, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
Why are there different kinds of soap for washing different things? Hells, even for just washing a human, there's hand soap, body soap, hair soap, face soap... marketing, man. Marketing. Folks like to sell crap. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 03:52, 5 March 2011
Well, the face-body distinction is more than just marketing. If I wash my face with the stuff I use on my body, most of my face peels right off ten minutes later. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 03:53, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
And your body doesn't? Seriously? My face is a good deal tougher than my hands; if I used something on those that could peel a face, I'd have no... well, actually, I almost have no fingertips already. Er. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 03:59, 5 March 2011

edit Charlie Sheen

Yes, Charlie Sheen. Can you protect Charlie Sheen? And please protect his page here too, if you would. Ever since the news blitz this last week the page has been overrun with IP's, and I and others have had to fix it numerous times. WINNING! Aleister 17:06 5-3-'11

Okay, I'll semi-protect it. In return, do you think you could take half an hour and make it suck less? Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 17:08, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

edit We haven't talked recently...

...Mostly because I've prostituted myself under the delusion I could write somewhere else and get paid. But as I heard the news about your temporary elevation, I had to come here and tell you how happy I am and how much you deserve it and how you're one of the most incredible people in the entire history of Uncyclopedia at least until your term runs out. WHY???PuppyOnTheRadio 06:16, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Good to see you, Why?..! So, is the writing gig actually paying pretty well? Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 06:42, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
I wish. Right now it's more "laying the groundwork." I'm helping review/edit a couple of books for which I'll get very little, am working on an article that if I'm lucky might earn me what I could have earned for a lot less effort working at McDonald's, and have about two steps to go before a book proposal gets a green light. Right now it's lots of work and very little money. But I still have my delusion, so I'm still plugging away. WHY???PuppyOnTheRadio 06:52, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, General Man was... special! How ironic that I'd receive that card only days after gaining the ability to unban myself :P Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 06:42, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
The expiration date is not a coincidence. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 06:44, 6 March 2011
You know, I'm the one who made that card (OK, it's obviously ripped off from Monopoly--all I did was change "Jail" to "Ban") but I don't remember who came up with the date thing. WHY???PuppyOnTheRadio 06:55, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

edit Spambot

The IP 67.215.248.169 was banned for a week, please to lengthen ban as this is a spambot. And according to the Ban Policy, spambots warrent a permaban. Just saying - The admirable Lord Frosty the Snowman 21:51, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, you're right. I kicked it up to a year; I don't entirely like the idea of banning an IP for longer than that, since the presence behind IPs tends to change. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 00:32, March 7, 2011 (UTC)

edit Speaking of long bans...

I'm going to relent most likely and remove the block on that one you blocked and then I blocked for longer, as per your above rationale. I think that a week probably wouldn't be enough to make it clear that we weren't happy - especially as the 3 day ban previously didn't seem to make the slightest impact. Sorry if I'm treading on your toes, but this is new territory for me too. A third infringement though would suggest that we're looking at a bot, or someone with bot-like OCD, and that wouldn't be an area where I would relent. Pup 02:15 07 Mar '11

The IP that adds Filipina actresses? Something tells me that isn't a bot - I have it pegged for a lonely, somewhat crazy guy who barely speaks English and has an obsession with two particular women. In other words, someone who'll probably never contribute meaningfully to Uncyclopedia. So... maybe semi-protecting that actress's page was enough; I don't know. Handle it how you want, I don't mind. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 16:30, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, look at where you two guys are at. Puppy and Hyperbole, for Zeus's sake, two of our best writers sitting down with a beer and discussing how long to ban a guy who, in his lonely life, just wants to fanboy two Filipino actresses. Throw off the yoke of admin and write again, write like you know how (shakes Hyperbole by the collar) What're you doing man (throws water on Puppy's fur) write something. Is this what you want you want to get trapped in? To give it up and live here? Lyrithyoa or however shee spells hir name hasn't written a thing and is lost in the basement amongst the old photographs. And look at poor Socky, his talk page weighed down with the entire text of Talk:Gay Jesus. I can't stand watching it, I can't stand it I tell you. Aleister 16:49 7-3-'11
Hey, it's not as though persecuting lonely Filipinos is all I do with my spare time anymore! I mean, I'm working on a replacement for our two recently lost Justin Bieber articles... Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 16:53, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, that's how it starts. With a Justin Bieber (grabs Hype by the collar again and yells "Justin Bieber!"), and you think you're going to keep on writing good pages. Would the old Hyperbole have blown off the Happy Monkey contest? No, he would have skipped his grandma's funeral to have joined in. Not only Hype would have entered but Horace would have come in the side door as a sockpuppet to take first and second place. Okay, I'm laying it on too much, you might start to believe me. What you guys are doing does sound fun, for a month anyway. Check out Socky's talk page, if the whole talk page is still there. Aleister 17:00 7-3-'11
Actually, my lack of having written anything has more to do with Hyperbole here than anything else. On that note, mon, I'm terribly sorry. I'm a failure. I'll try to get that thing done, or bits of that thing done, but for some reason, I keep procrastinating after that initial headway, and I've no idea why. Arg. Although deleting the wiki does make such a good... distraction... 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 17:03, 7 March 2011
Yes, Lyri, making serious headway on that thing would be so nice. Also, it's not as though you're entirely without incentive. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 18:03, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
I'm a whim-driven person; what I need is the whim... but... er... yeah. I'll do that. Eventually. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 19:13, 7 March 2011
Is there anything I can do to contribute to your whimsy? Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 19:22, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
Nagging me might work. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 19:28, 7 March 2011
Why don't you just reflect on how you made me do that horrible VFD-archiving, and how you actually enjoy web design. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 19:29, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
I hate javascript, though. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 19:44, 7 March 2011
You could... use something else? Or... learn to love javascript? Maybe javascript is like that guy at the beginning of romantic comedies who you initially find brash and abrasive until you discover it has a heart of gold underneath and you dance off into the sunset together to cheesy music. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 20:03, March 7, 2011 (UTC)

If you reimplement Justin Bieber, it will ruin Justin Beeber. Currently, attempts to reach Bieber get you Beeber, which is still (intentionally) just about the only thing funny about Beeber. It would of course be preferable to have a decent page on Bieber, but I'd like it if it still misdirected at random maybe one-quarter of the time. Spıke ¬ 22:29 7-Mar-11

So like a {{choose}} where some of it was the article and some of it was the redirect? Hmmm. Well, it's a possibility. The first step would be to see if I'm inspired enough/ not too lazy to finish my article. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 22:31, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
Then again, a simple "Oops! Maybe you were looking for Justin Beeber, the bartender from Maryland?" might be pretty funny. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 22:46, March 7, 2011 (UTC)

That's one solution. Only, I don't expect anyone ever will be. Spıke ¬ 22:55 7-Mar-11

edit Justin Bieber Fly-by

I was going to do a review of Justin Bieber, but someone beat me to it. Anyway, the only real complaint I have is with the images. I think you should have a pic of some random female celebrity towering over Justin Bieber, since that's inherently funny. The lack of such an image sort of reminds me of the image of the use of Special Ed on Trig Palin (retard) instead of using an actual image of the retarded baby, since images of babies with extra chromosomes are inherently funny.

Anyway, I uploaded a few pics you could use with sample captions:

Justin Bieber and Miranda Cosgrove

Miranda Cosgrove has womb newts that are larger than Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber and Girl

Justin Bieber working with a girl who does not tower over him

Justin Bieber and Rihanna

Ok, this is just ridiculous...

edit A thought

IPs aren't people, merely shifty masks. Ban-evading, IPs are often dumped for new ones. Not always, and proxies are just dangerous in general, but if a user behind its mask switches to a new one in the same range, it's likely it did just dropped the old one into the pile to be requested by others and requested a new one from its ISP. Or not; it could have multiple. Or be using someone else's. Still, something to consider, perhaps. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 06:58, 11 March 2011

Yes, I'm generally aware of how IPs work, but - what's to be done about it? I figure the best policy is to assume, at least for the first incarnation or two, that you're looking at someone with a semi-stable IP (or two). And if I'm banning a proxy - well, so much the better, right? I mean, sure, there are a lot of proxies, but some are more overused than others - if you surf in from, say, Anonymouse, there seems to be about a 50/50 chance you'll find yourself blocked. I don't know - are you suggesting any specific change in how I'm doing things? Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 10:17, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
Naw, I'm trying to crush your spirit with the overwhelming futility of it all. Because it is, you know. Utterly futile. Be glad this is temporary, else you'd have time aplenty to come to terms with that as the masses upon masses of IPs sweep you away, more upon more upon more, meantime having to deal with them all, but they still make a complete and utter mess of everything. Behold, the wiki lies in ruins. Ruins! Also, what the hell are you doing up this time of day? 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 10:27, 11 March 2011

edit Category:Axis of Evil-Doers issue

I noticed that the category is now mostly userpages, which is overwhelming the category, so its hard to see the 35 articles that "merit" being on the template. I would like permission to remove the category (and template) from all userpages. (Actually, I'd prefer to remove that category and template from every page on the wiki, but I don't think you'd be willing to give that, since it would displease some of the permanent admins, but I digress.) --Mn-z 15:43, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

I'd like to see this done too; but the category is a recent VFD survivor, and it probably shouldn't be done unilaterally. Spıke ¬ 15:59 11-Mar-11
Okay, here's my "official ruling" as a temporary admin. And, yeah, it's time-consuming and clumsy, so you might prefer to leave it alone for now, but it's up to you.
  1. If someone hasn't made an edit in a year, go ahead and remove the template/category. Because, really, they don't care, and if they do care, they've lost the right to care by abandoning the wiki.
  2. If someone has edited within a year, feel free to leave a message on their talk page asking them if they'd mind removing the template/category.
  3. At any rate, feel free to remove any DEFAULTSORTs from the userpages that have them, so at least all the userpages will be confined to the letter "U."
Colossal pain in the ass? Sure. But I think this is how we should handle removing cruft from userspace in general. There are an awful lot of users who put a category or template in their space in 2006, made six edits, and never came back; to sum up my feelings about these users: Fuck 'em. The right of active users to have a clean wiki outweighs the right of inactive users to have their userspaces unedited for all eternity. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 16:43, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
Adding to this: if you have the time or slightest inclination, I hereby permit and encourage you to remove all categories from the userspaces of people who haven't made an edit in a year, and replace them with a template - {{InactiveUser}} or something - that says "This user has not made an edit in over a year and will not be categorized. (Unless they come back)." Something like that. And then if they do come back and their first order of business is reverting that template - more power to them. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 16:48, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
It appears that User:Barney the Dinosaur's page is protected. Can you please do a category/templates-that-should-not-be-on-userpage purge on that page? Or failing that, unprotect it? --Mn-z 17:36, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
I stepped it down to semi-protection. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 17:50, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
I am not against this in the least, but am famously in favor of clear written policies. Would you please publish this "ruling"--say, in the Forum--so users don't have to look on this page to find out what Mn-z is doing skulking around user pages of inactive users? Spıke ¬ 17:31 11-Mar-11
I think Mordillo had some issues with users transcluding pages onto their userpages a while back. His issue with that resulting in random userpages being in the "featured" category, and this is basically the same thing. --Mn-z 17:41, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, it's in the dump. I'd link you to that page, but I forgot to copy it to the Windows clipboard, and I'm late for work. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 17:58, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
On a related note, I seen a few userpages which are like "crash your browser" bad with broken code, dozens of templates, and the like. Some examples are User:Freakinfarter and User:AbaddonGuild‎. On these pages, determining which templates should or shouldn't stay is too much like work. I suggest considering that such pages should be blanked by an admin with a notice of some sort. --Mn-z 18:23, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
I've replaced their userpages with {{User:Hyperbole/Inactiveuser}}. Please use that template (or an improved version, if you prefer) when removing content from userpages. If you see someone like Freakinfarter or AbaddonGuild who hasn't edited in a year, it's fine to use your own discretion with respect to what content to remove, just as long as you put the template at the top encouraging them to revert you if they ever return. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 19:46, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
You've gone a long way in one section, from OKing the editing a category from a userpage to saying it's ok to remove any content of a user page. Yikes! There are lots of inactive user pages which have very interesting pics, code, and other things worth saving, I've copied lots of stuff off of inactive user pages, and giving blanket permission to chop away could bring down some of those too. Especially in this time of the slaughter of the innocent pics. Some of us are holding a mass and prayer service for the innocent pics next Sunday, if you'd like to attend. Party afterwards. Aleister 19:55 11-2-'11
You make a good point. I'm not sure what the best way to handle Freakinfarter and AbaddonGuild's pages is, but I guess to be on the safe side we should limit deletion to templates and categories. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 20:00, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
I didn't even look at those pages, these posts make it sound dangerous to look at those. I've recently data mined code and categorized pics from Flutter's page - he's got some good stuff on there, and sounds like a weird case of a good user gone bad by repeatedly putting up goatse after being warned and banned over and over again, and then finally being kicked off the site. The moral: Don't do drugs. Except for the good ones. Aleister 20:09 11-3-'11
The pages actually look a lot better after removing all the templates and categories. It's pretty obvious to me that we have templates with open tags that *break fucking everything* when used in combination with one another... but... I don't really have the time or expertise to sort out which are which. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 20:11, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
They cleaned up better than I thought they would. --Mn-z 21:45, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

edit Userpages with issues

While clearing out Category:Axis of Evil-Doers, I ran into a few questionable pages:

  • User:MaxRebo120 perma-banned user, but hasn't been inactive for a year yet. I'm leaning toward "go-ahead-and-decat" like he was inactive, since he's not coming back. However, I'm already acting quite italic, so I decided to take the issue to an admin
  • User:Superpokyfan inactive user. He appears to be claiming credit for featured articles he did not write.

Also, what's your policy on the use of DEFAULTSORT on non-inactive userpages? It looked like you said to remove it from all userpages, but I may have read you wrong. --Mn-z 03:33, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

I went ahead and decatted MaxRebo120. Superpokyfan seemed to have just copied-and-pasted about 7 other users' userpages into his, leaving dozens and dozens of redundant userboxes and all kinds of lies about FAs and awards and everything else you can think of. I just removed those 7 users' userpages from his userpage and left the tiny bit that I think was unique to him.
I don't think people should have DEFAULTSORT templates on their userpages. But, I think altering the userpages of active users might not be okay. After all, we've never really had rules about what can and can't go on your userpage before (other than the obvious "no spam, no cyberbullying, etc." For now - any chance you can make a list of active users with DEFAULTSORTS, so we can talk about it on the dump, and so it'll be easy to remove them if there's consensus? Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 10:11, March 12, 2011 (UTC)
Unfortunately, I don't know of a good way to search for DEFAULTSORT usage. Its not an template, rather its a form of code, so it doesn't show up on what-links-here or a search. --Mn-z 13:56, March 12, 2011 (UTC)
On the subject of DEFAULTSORT, I don't think it would be issue on works-in-progress that are intended to be moved into mainspace. We tolerate a good bit of "unfinished/I'm-working-on-it" articles since this is a wiki. However, with abandoned WIP's, it might be a different issue. --Mn-z 21:13, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

edit Documenting Userspace Cleanup for perma-banned users

For perma-banned users, should we at User:Hyperbole/Inactiveuser or not? I see how that template could be a bit misleading or confusing since the page owner can't come back, and admins often blank userpages when adding {{Indefinitely blocked user}}. However, that template does inform people who look at the page what the edit was about, it categorizes all these pages, and there is a chance a random perma-banned user might come back. I could go either way on this issue. --Mn-z 14:37, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

No, we shouldn't add that template to perma-banned users. Since admins do often blank userpages when adding the "indefinitely blocked" template, there's precedent for removing categories from those userpages, so I don't see any problem with just quietly doing that. edit UnNews:Update:US Marines did not blow on Japan nuclear reactor

Your UnNews, on which I had to do nothing except include WASHINGTON in the link, is in the 4-Spot. I didn't feature it immediately because of longish headline, the fact that any summary would give most of it away, and I don't like looking at Mrs. Clinton, but finally did, with a shorter headline (I didn't rename the file). Anon has just contributed a horrible post-script and I've reverted him. Come back soon! Spıke ¬ 21:38 13-Mar-11

Hi Hyperbole, I've just made a few points in the discussion section of the review you did for my unnews UnNews:Charlie Sheen wins Academy Award for Best Actor Meltdown, something that I haven't been able to do until recently because my laptop has been broken for a few weeks. Would appreciate your comments. Shrooms Jello Shrooms 16:07, March 16, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I read your points.
I don't really know what to say except to remind you that Pee Review is just one person's opinion. A Pee Review isn't the article's official "grade," nor does it affect the article's chance of going to VFH, VFD, etc.; and if you don't think it's helpful, you're more than welcome to ask for another one.
For example - it's my opinion that an article shouldn't be accurate, but should be internally consistent. So, if the first paragraph says "Soap was invented in 1780," the second paragraph shouldn't say "Soap was invented in 300 B.C." And that's why I was bothered by the pictures - they're not consistent. They don't show the same man in the same time period.
Is my opinion about consistency the objective truth? No. Do others disagree with it? Probably. Are there exceptions? Sure - a lot of humor is based on narrators or characters immediately contradicting themselves (The Simpsons does that all the time).
So, you know, a Pee Review is supposed to be helpful suggestions for revising or rewriting the article - nothing more, nothing less. If you didn't think my suggestions had merit - well, then I guess I wasted both of our time, and that's bad, but it's not as bad as being a Tutsi in Rwanda. The photo on the page is the standard photo for this series. Maybe you can use the pic on the page's talk page for the #1 (you did say #1, didn't you. Maybe I misread the number of straight lines in the symbol.) spot on the front page. Thanks. We're number four! We're number four! Aleister 13:00 23-3-'11
That photo gets it done! also displayed on the main page now. The 1-Spot is for stories that are about the news, not "Man Turns 100." edit Scherer and favor

Burning raccoons

This photo has been purloined for the benefit of the UnNews readership. (And those who merely look at the pictures.) Spıke ¬ 13:50 5-Apr-11

Hello. I saw the Scherer page fixes and things, all good ones, but I don't know about that black picture, just seems to hang there out of place. You must see something in it I miss, but it could be just John Scherer's black heart staring out at us. A favor if you have a minute. Viking Metal is on the main page, and when I read it the start of the second paragraph didn't seem quite right, so I edited it on the page itself. Could you check it out and cut and paste the changes onto the template for the main page? Thanks! And what's this about Lyrithya trying to skip out on us? Madness indeed. Aleister 00:55 28-3-'11

I updated the template for you! As for the Scherer picture... well, the black picture is not that funny. The idea that Scherer files so many lawsuits that he sued himself and just appears as negative space is a bit amusing, and the illustration is a bit amusing, but I stress the word "bit" here. It barely spikes my amusement meter upwards. The thing is, I have a major pet peeve for articles that show images of three or four different individuals and claim they're all the same individual. I know from your performance on Todd Palin that you don't share that peeve, but it drives me crazy. I don't like the fact that the "artist's rendition," the old man in the woods, and the plastic figurine of Charles Xavier were obviously different people, so I removed two of them. They were spking my amusement meter significantly downwards. Besides, the article makes it clear that we can't show Scherer's face, so... why are we showing "Scherer's face"?
As for Lyri, I'm pretty sure she ain't going anywhere :) Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 15:00, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
Hi, just getting back to you on this. I'm of the opi that the Scherer article should be improved as much as we can and featured, we owe him no less. You made some very good improvements. The only thing I think is blah is the black picture, and the page would be better with no pic in that spot. I never liked the stupid cartoon of the woman supposedly from his video, that hits my unfunny button. Those two things, would you mind if I cast them aside or found new pic for them? Even the raccoon pic here would be better (Caption: Scherer burns some things he doesn't approve of simply because his lawyer told him he could.). Besides that, and with some more tweaks, let's go for feature again. That would be fun, especially if the page gets improved durin g the next week or so. Thoughts? Ghosts? Aleister 1:11 4-4-'11
I like the cartoon woman picture because it's an appropriate illustration of the text. The text doesn't feel force-fitted to the picture (because Scherer, indeed, sells software, and old software + perversion = Leisure Suit Larry), nor does the caption feel force-fitted to the text. I hate force-fits. For that reason, I would strongly be against inclusion of, for example, the raccoon pic - it's an obvious force-fit.
As for the black.png - well, if you want no pic at all there, I won't protest. Like I said, I think the black picture is a tiny, tiny improvement to the article, but you seem to regard it as a nasty stain. I don't know, maybe we should ask some third party. But I don't feel strongly about it, so, you know, since it reallly seems to be bothering you maybe you should just cut it. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 06:28, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Most admins can't even do it. Wikia staff can, and (I think) bureaucrats. It tells you which IP addresses users are editing from. It's a violation of privacy, so we only do it when we have a very good reason to suspect sockpuppetry. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 23:55, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

One of Knitwitted's multiple personalities is Modus, as after the sockpuppet issue she adorns her talk page with an award for one of his featured articles. (Originally, she struck through this and made it a pointer to her own Chick-fil-a article, which still is not a FA, but one minute later, she undid this flourish.) I have tried to goose along Chick-fil-a--though it seems certain her theme for it is going to be Randumbo--and I've even gone to her blog. She really needs to be listened to, despite having nothing to talk about except the trouble she has gotten into on various wikis. This cannot end well. Spıke ¬ 23:43 28-Mar-11

I don't think I can really do anything with that title, Starshine. I'm not sure what the Brotherhood of Grape is a parody of. Is it a parody of anything? I can think of a thousand fake organizations with a silly name - say, "The Knights of Soiled Linen" - but I wouldn't have the first clue how to make a page about them funny if they don't have a real world analogue. In general, it's a lot easier to make people laugh by making fun of things that exist than by inventing things that are too weird to exist. edit Katy Perry Plastic Surgery (Not exactly a Pee Review but Close)

Katy Perry

Suggested additions in bold, cuts in strikeout, comments in italics

The problem I, in my unerring wisdom, have is mostly inconsistency in tone. It starts as a straight encyclopedic takeoff, which I think is great. But then it seems to lose it's way in places. I think a little tightening up could make it much better.

For one of the very few times, don't mind Oscar Wilde quote

like the encyclopedic tone--unc has too few true unc articles, in my opinion

reading only the Bible and Chick tracts....

gospel music sung by morbidly obese African-American women.--oridinarily I wouldn't like this sort of thing, but here I do.

After striking a deal with the devil--suddenly breaks an otherwise very good tone; suggest making a link to Devil on word "deal"

pop musician and porn star.--I'd prefer something more subtle than "porn star"

She rose to fame with her second single "I Kissed a Girl" and the mind-blowingly mediocre follow-up, "California Gurls."--maybe She rose to fame with her hit second single "I Kissed a Girl" and in spite of her 'mind-blowingly mediocre' follow-up, "California Gurls."--as it is, it breaks the encyclopedic tone

Early Life--like this whole section; sounds encyclopedic

"I Kissed Jesus's Feet (And I Liked It)."--yes; encyclopedic, fits Katy, and funny

and her talent to pay her legal fees.--mixed feelings about this; wouldn't have liked it except it leads into the deal with the devil bit

Commodore Perry, the naval officer who had forcibly opened U.S.-Japan trade routes in 1854.--a sexual reference, I think; works for me

literal crossroads in a field of corn, in order to visually symbolize her emotional state--don't care for this

It was exactly the kind of asinine thing that melodramatic teenage girls often engage in--breaks the encyclopedic tone, unless you use this as somebody's quote

Perry hesitated for a moment, but realized that as she was menstruating furiously at the time, she would not have to prick herself. Interpreting this as a sign from Jesus, Perry slipped a nearby twig up the front of her long frumpy dress and signed the contract.--sounds random to me; doesn't seem to fit, don't find it funny

They were somewhat taken aback when Perry attempted to sign this contract in her own menses, but eventually came to consider this a hilarious misunderstanding.

I liked the contractual stripping bit

Just a suggestion, but where she starts getting "slutty" I'd like it if she didn't understand that--they convinced her it was holy or Christian or something--or give her a motivation for wanting to be slutty

only recently-healed backside.--like it

For her next offering, Perry penned the song "Everybody Look at my Disproportionate Tits." However, Flom decided to temporarily cancel production of this song, feeling that Perry needed to descend from "innocent schoolgirl" to "hardcore porn star" much more incrementally than the song would allow for.--to me doesn't fit the tone of the article

These releases were accompanied by a carefully orchestrated press campaign depicting Perry as increasingly pornographic. After years of photoshopping her own face onto models' bodies to titillate visitors to 4chan--related to the above, why? What happened to change her? I'd like to see some motivation for the changes from innocent gospel singer girl to acting slutily

Perry became the first woman in history to be kicked off of Sesame Street for showing up dressed like a hooker.--Yes, like it

Perry is scheduled to fully embrace her new role as an adult actress by appearing in the independent film, "Pop Star Pussy Demolished XXIV."--I think you could write a much more clever ending; this sounds run-of-the-mill uncyclopedia.

By the way, like the images

Just my opinions, but I think with a few small changes, this could be a very good article (i.e. I'd vote for). WHY???PuppyOnTheRadio 16:53, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for that, Why?. I implemented the changes you suggested in the lede. As for the changes you suggested to the last two sections, I either disagreed with them or found them too challenging to do right now (as they'd require significant reconceptualizing of the article). Cheers! Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 17:29, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

Another nOOb, please look at the edit thing and check out all those dottie things, they have two dots stacked up for some reason. You put lots of those on the edit and it swings your comment way up under the others. This is called free speech in Norway, which is full of dots. Aleister 19:48 3-4-'11

edit Your Username appeared in a video game!!

I'm not fucking kidding. You guest starred in This game. I was going through the in-game online "Search" option, and it came up with a User-created level called "Kill Uncyclopedia and Love JB!". Curious (At it's probable stupidity), I played it and A very badly made stick-figure turns round and says "Im Hyperbole and i hate justin beiber and has an imaje on hias talk page of tha thing, Y'all". I turned around in astonishment at the fact you where mentioned in a LBP Level. This isn't made up. This was about 20 minutes ago now while I was bored. I DID NOT make it, I'm not that bad in taste for hate levels. Are you flattered? I would be. - Barn-owl LOL vandalz 20:15, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

A perfect representation of Hyperbole. Jackofspades (talk) 20:18, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
That is fucking awesome. Thanks for catching that! Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 20:21, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Hate levels are common on LBP, along with other filth there. I once made a level with you have to Lynch Justin Bieber. It took about 2 Hours to make, and When I uploaded it to the sever it gained over 1,400 views overnight. Before It was swiftly deleted by moderators and I received a 1 day ban from the Online's services. - Barn-owl LOL vandalz 20:24, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

edit On the subject of LBP,

Could you please Please give a fundamental re-write to the current article on LBP. It's articles submitter must have been the worst to fuck it up so bad. I think it needs a steamroller, as considering I can't even start writing something funny, so I come to you as you are one of Uncyclopedia's best writers. Please give it a make-over, as you did to Justin Bieber. Please, I'm begging you. - Barn-owl LOL vandalz 18:37, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Er... maybe. I have that game and I enjoy it, but I haven't played it in like 18 months, and funny ideas don't immediately spring to mind. Maybe I'll sit down with the girlfriend this week and play it a few times with an eye towards making fun of it. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 20:16, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Most notable things that could be used for satire: Most of the levels online are either just "Bomb survivals" (Where the player has to avoid falling bombs) and Shark survivals (Pretty much the same as Bomb survivals). You also have "clans" there there that are mostly full of 34-year old men who find MW2 to be cliché. There are many clan wars there, which is a rare case of when it's legal for 42 year old virgins to fight 12 year olds with High-pitched voices. Most fun parts of the game include trying to find levels which either don't say "HAET JUSTIN BEAVER FOREVER" or "Heartz 4 haerts plz!!!". You could also reference how the sequel's only difference is that it allows the user to create even more accurate Swastikas. - Barn-owl LOL vandalz 20:24, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

edit Scherer redux

I grabbed a pic off of VFD which seemed to fit the page (it will be an orphan once the VFD'ers KO it). What do you think of it and the caption? If all the pics are set maybe we can tweek and add some words to make it into feature quality. Aleister 15:49 8-4-'11

Honestly, I'm not thrilled with it. I mean, it's easy to believe that this guy has enough semen to sell to Tom Cruise, and with a little stretch of the imagination, we can see him having enough semen to market it on TV as a product. But the idea that he has so much semen that the billion people of India use it to ritually purify themselves and have incorporated it into their religion? I think that stretches the concept so hard it breaks it. That's too much semen, Aleister.
Really, the article is getting too picture-heavy for my taste, in general. I think perhaps no picture at all might be the right solution. And I'm still not very happy with the one remaining picture that identifies itself as "Scherer trying his own product." If the article says we can't show him, why are we showing him?
I agree that I'd like this brought up to feature quality... lemme think about it... Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 17:58, April 8, 2011 (UTC)

On Wikipedia from 2005-2008? Cause a guy with your username used to be there, before he asked the admins to huff his user page and disappeared forever. (Something to do with an unfair 24-hour ban, I don't know...) --Scofield 11:46, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Yep! That was me. I decided I didn't like the community and the endless lawyering over there and decided I'd rather contribute to this project. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 22:40, April 22, 2011 (UTC)
Me too! I kept being accused of "original research" and then decided the accusations were true; I wanted to write useful explanations (and funny is useful) and not just pull together facts from elsewhere and make them orthodox. Spıke ¬ 23:07 22-Apr-11
My problem is that the supposedly "NPOV" encyclopedia pretty much flat-out said that a lot of things were false (homeopathy, 9/11 controlled demolition theories, etc.) - and I started realizing that, yeah, the encyclopedia is very much written from the average 25-year-old American's point of view. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 03:23, April 23, 2011 (UTC)
There is a definite orthodox opinion, though I wouldn't ascribe it to any age group or nationality. My swan song was a contribution to [Talk:Homophobia], the very word being a canned argument that any opponent of certain state policy on gays must be acting out of fear, most commonly fear regarding his own identity; I told them the page, for all its ostensible science, was a guidebook on arguing fallaciously. My rant was promptly archived, though I was not notorious enough to get anyone thinking of banning me. Spıke ¬ 03:32 23-Apr-11

Well, I'm a Wikipedian under the username of User:ilov90210. My biggest contributions so far have been to the article on Beverly Hills, 90210. I even uploaded a picture and submitted a (failed) VFH nom. I also have an article on one Kaleb Nation in my userspace. Yay me! --Scofield 11:03, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

Has nothing to do with anything.

Unrelatedly, when you list things on qvfd, it usually works better to put them above the {{qvfd checked}} template, as otherwise folks are apt to think they've already been checked. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 20:57, 13 May 2011

Huh, that's fucking weird. I don't remember ever *looking* at your talk page, let alone making an edit, let alone making a reversion. Either it's a bug in the software, or it's a cautionary tale about giving rollback to a known alcoholic. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 22:55, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
Those links are annoyingly easy to click on by accident... *shifty eyes* Very... very... easy... 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 23:00, 14 May 2011
I've done accidental rollbacks a couple of times, so that probably was the reason. Or it might just be an elaborate trolling scheme. --Mn-z 23:13, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
Also, it looks like you may have accidentally hit the rollback button a couple of times, possibly due to accessing the wiki from a phone or something. --Mn-z 00:00, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, shoot, that's a very good point, I was looking at the wiki from my Droid, which has a terrible touch screen and I often have to "click" all over the place to get to a page. Okay, now that I have rollback, I won't be accessing it that way anymore. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 01:33, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
