Cookie

OldCookie Sliferjam has awarded you a cookie!
Ewww...it's gone bad.
CookieBite Sliferjam has awarded you a cookie!
Hey! Someone took a bite out of it!

Yes, I have a cookie now

Yesihavecookies extends his warm "thank you's" to you. I am his representative, Ace Cannon. I'm a journalist and I punch people in the face that don't give me the truth. I'm going to give it to you straight: Yesihavecookies is a wiener who barely knows the first thing about uncyclopedia. He wrote an article on Thomas Hobbes first band: Thomas Hobbes & The pessimists, but he doesn't know things like how you did that cookie thing. If you could extend any help to him in the way of some of the ways of short cuts, posting templates, and other funny things it would be much appreciated. In return he would be more than estatic to help you in rewriting and expanding articles of your own.

--Yesihavecookies 18:51, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, Ace, you can tell Yesihavecookies that if he has any problems he can just ask here, and I'll do my best to help out. Best advice I can give is just to learn by copying formatting from other users and pages. For example, for the cookie award thingy, go to your userpage and click 'edit' to see what I inserted to award it to you. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Reefer Desk - Use it | Converse 19:04, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Ace Cannon finding the truth wherever he may be.

Thank you for the extension of friendship. Yesihavecookies will ask you if he is in need of some sort of assistance. Until then, keep telling the truth.
With Love,
Ace Cannon

That is good for you. Did you enjoy the imitations addition that Yesihavecookies added to the HowTo: Learn Guitar, or did they basically suck? I know they're not really the truth. I hate this website. I'm a dignified journalist. I seek, eat, sleep, shit, and talk the truth. This website it nothing but lies. It makes me want to throw up all over myself. Yesihavecookies is feeling that he is grasping more of an understanding of uncyclopedia. He is happy. He also made a blues oriented addition to the Vincent Van Gogh page. Congratulations on winning n00b of the month. This month is the month of you.
Keep Spittin' Tha Truf,

BRAVO, BRAVO!

I just slapped a VFH template on your Speech to text software article! That's the funniest thing I've seen in a proverbial coon's age! Regardless of how the nomination turns out, I just want to express my appreciation and thanks. Keep 'em coming! --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 16:34, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Glad you like it! I think with a bit more work and an image or two, fingers crossed, others will like it, too. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Reefer Desk - Use it | Converse 16:39, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

There's nothing like quality votes in something like this. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.  :)--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 15:10, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

I Am Having Long Time Ideas

Would you like to assist Yesihavecookies in the addition of a new page to the uncyclopedia pages?

Love, Ace Cannon

--Yesihavecookies 21:33, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

As soon as I arrive back from my holiday, certainly! However I am currently using a remote IP in the Canary Islands, and will be back on the 9th July. I also see that someone nommed HowTo: Learn Guitar at VFH. Wahoo! -- Hindleyite (somewhere in Lanzarote with a terrible keyboard with no tildes). 3rd July 2006, 14.24 Local Time

How do you nominate things, and where do you go to see things that are nominated?
Love,
Ace Cannon
--Yesihavecookies 19:26, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Since my good friend Hindleyite is on holiday in the region of my birth I shall heroically assist you with your problem. http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/VFH will direct you to where you go to nominate and feature articles Ace Cannon.
And to Hindleyite I say: Hi, and when did you get GUN-ed? Congrats! The Invading Genius Yuri the Vaguely Octagonal [WORSHUP ME] [MUN] [YvJP] 10:35, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Hi Yuri. I became a GUN when I won Writer of the Month a couple of months ago. Thanks for the congratulations, and also for filling in for me in your answering of Ace's question. You were born in the Canary Islands? Well, I should have deduced that from your name, really. It was a bit barren where I went: no pedestrian pavements or rain. Lots of cacti, though. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 11:16, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, well I figured that no candidate could be added that would write better than you. I always prefer proper well-written articles over gimmicks. Which reminds me of something.... --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 11:16, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Hardmum Mrs. Fundlebuggy sends you a big pie and a warm welcome!

Thanks for being nice to my son. Normally people just kick him in the shin and fill him with balloons. I know I do.
This is by far the best template I've seen in ages! Your mum seems like a very nice person. Cheers. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 11:30, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Glad you like it. Thanks also for nomming the diceman. I went away for a while and watch Bob Dylan DVD's, so when I came back I decided to be more reclusive and focus on the writing. It's good to see you like the stuff. Hopefully I'll be churning out more soon. I think I'll nom the remote 3000 thing you did. I meant to yesterday, and now everyone's going to think it's backslapping or sockpuppetry - but what the heck, it deserves it. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 11:34, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I was going to nom Dice Man ages ago, but totaly forgot about it. Looking at your userpage reminded me to do so. I was probably too busy getting ready to go on holiday... but anyway, I wish you well in your quest to become WOTM July 2006. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 11:38, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

That Devil Reefer Desk

So I was, umm... partaking of some ketchup and I thought, "Hey, what may give people more incentive to go through the proper channels and use Image Review before self-nomming willy-nilly straight to VFP?" And the answer struck me (after three additional hits of ketchup) — another worthless template a DIPLOMA! So I rolled something up; it's a bit tight and draws pretty hard, but I think overall I did an ok job with it. Maybe when an image graduates from Image Review and is subsequently featured, we might wanna place this on it along with the Featured Image Template.... whatcha think? If you're not happy with the image, or the idea itself it's no big deal because as I've said, I'm all filled up on ketchup and will probably just sit and giggle either way. -- Imrealized 07:31, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Wow, I just now saw that Zombiebaron beat me to the punch on that one. Oops. Let the giggling begin. -- Imrealized 13:37, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Screw Zombiebaron, I prefer your version..... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb (talk to me)
Actually, yeah, I think I prefer playing on the Reefer University thing. But maybe that's just the ketchup talking... --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 13:58, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, I don't want to step on any toes (especially toes belonging to vacationing elder zombies), but if you want to use this one, go for it. Needless to say if either of you want to tweak it at all (words, colour, size, what have you), feel free to do that, too. -- Imrealized 14:35, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
For now, I've moved the template to the template space under Template:ReeferGrad2. Just thought I'd annoy you some more let you know. -- Imrealized 03:11, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for your vote on NOTM...if you feel like it, I could use some help with the UnBooks Author of the Month too.--Shandon 15:18, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
You are welcome for the vote on the article. As for AOTM, I was holding my vote off as long as I could to see what others (namely SonhicChao) could come up with. However, I think your Garm article has probably tipped the balance in your favour, and you can count on my vote. In return, I would be grateful if you could take a look at HowTo: Be a Tramp and vote accordingly at VFH (Yeah, I know it's shameless whoring). One good turn deserves another, eh? Cheers. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 16:39, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Actually I had read the Tramp article already and liked it, so no problem. Do you like the Google Middle Earth article? Thx--Shandon 16:43, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
I added in your suggestions...what do you think now? Feel free to add!--Shandon 17:39, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, the quotes are great! If I think of anything else, I will add it or let you know of it. The article is looking quite good now. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 17:55, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

What do you think? It needs images - I reckon a hot dog with all these tubes and twigs sticking out of it or something. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 11:58, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

I will see what I can do about it (opens up Adobe Potatochop, Google image search). I will also take a look at the article and get back to you on it. Interesting concept.... I think they sell those at my local chip shop, actually. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 12:08, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Right, I have potatochopped you a little something. I added it to the article - do with it what you like. By the way, I think the article is great - and I think other people will feel the same. The bit about 'Gladiator' is great. --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 13:42, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Ta. I like Mhaille's hedgehog butty image also. One question: why is my image currently removed? --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 14:19, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
It wasn't me - I was busy working on yet another image - which I have now added. Yours is in the variations section. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 15:08, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
OK, er, sorry about that. Just thought you'd rejected my pic, which obviously you haven't. Hmmmm (strokes chin, considers nomming SBBN for VFH)... --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 12:40, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

UnBooks AotM

Howdy, did you do the AotM writeup in the Garm style? That was pretty funny!--Shandon 11:40, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Wiki twenty dollar

Twentydollarbill

Hi, where did you get the twenty dollar bill from? Me or did you find it somewhere else? I saw that you gave it to someone as a reward for something or payment for illegal activities, and I want to be cut in...and if you don't want to, then I will just have to take it and pout or something.-- Sir Severian Severian1 CUN (Sprich mit mir!) Kraut 21:36, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Illegal activities? Me? Well, er, yes actually. I needed to pay Czar Yah for a plot on his userpage, so I just did a quick image search on Uncyclopedia and chose the funniest-looking one, which just so happened to be your Bush bill. I think you can have it back, though, the whole userpage renting things seems to have died off.
PS. Good Potatochop.--Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 10:12, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Good Photochop for someone I appropriated the image from...I don't have photochop. I have "The Gimp" a poor mans chopper, being that it was free and does all the same shit photochop can do. Getting credit for other people's work falls in line with my whole quest to steal identities.-- Sir Severian Severian1 CUN (Sprich mit mir!) Kraut 11:01, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks a bunch, dude

Oi! The things that Uncyclopedia has to offer ... no limits, unlike wiki-that-cannot-be-named, with their fancy old "facts". Anyways, you told me that if I needed help with anything to ask you or go to the Village Dump. So, my question is, how do I edit an article so that it adds a picture? I had the same trouble with the other wiki-that-cannot-be-named, as well, and I really want to add pictures to an article. I'm thinking that if I do google Images, I can get a pretty good picture and put in an Uncyclopedia, or even the wiki-that-cannot-be-named. Please respond, and thank you for all of your help. --Aidepolcycnu 17:29, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Hi, Aidepolcycnu. If you want to put an image in an article, you first need to upload your pic. Look for the 'Upload file' link in the toolbox on the left hand side below the search box. On the upload file screen, click 'Browse' to find the pic on your computer (if it's on Google, save it onto your comp first) and give the file a name. Next, enter the image source (if you know it) and any comments, then use the drop down box to enter the copyright details. If you aren't sure, just select 'stolen and used for the good of Uncyclopedia'.
Once you have hit upload, the file should be uploaded to the site database. To use the pic in an article, paste the following code where you want the image to appear:

where 'myimage' is the image you have uploaded. Hit the preview button to check if it works. It should, but if it doesn't, I've probably told you something wrong. :) --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 17:47, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Okay, so you said the following to me:

On the upload file screen, click 'Browse' to find the pic on your computer (if it's on Google, save it onto your comp first) and give the file a name.

Look, uh ... I hate to admit it, but I'm not as good with computers as I like to think I am, and, to be honest, my computer is about one thousand years old (or it at least acts like it - no joke) and I don't know what you mean by 'save it on your computer first', because when I try to copy the image on "Wordpad" or "Paint", the image doesn't show up. 15:41, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Don't worry. I don't think anybody is as good at computers as they say they are. Try this: get the picture on the internet site up on your screen. Right click on it and select 'save picture as' from the menu that appears. Then, choose where to save the pic and hit 'save'. The image should now be stored on your computer somewhere. I presume you're using Windows: it'll probably be set to 'My Pictures' by default. Hope this helps you out. -- Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 16:01, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

"My Pictures"? Wait - is that the same as "My Images"? Because I saved the picture in question, and I don't know exactly where it could be. --Aidepolcycnu 18:29, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Keep looking for it: it'll be somewhere on your hard drive, probably in 'My Documents'. If you really can't find it, load up the internet page and save the image again. This time, note the folder which you are saving it to. Hope this is helpful. -- Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 18:37, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
 • Phew*

Okay, I got the image on the computer. Now, how do I make turn it into something like this:

--Aidepolcycnu 18:49, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Next, you have to upload the image to the Uncyclopedia database, then you can use that code to put it in your article like the ones you have on your userpage. To do this, click 'upload file' on the left, follow the instructions I gave you earlier, and hopefully it should work. :) --Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 18:57, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Hoo! Well, let's see here ... y'know, that might seem pretty simple to you, but, honestly, I don't know how to work this damn thing as well as I used to think I could before. Maybe that's an exaggeration. Anyways, what I really want to do is take pictures from another wiki by going to the place where you edit the content and find where it says:

And put it on articles here. But see, I'll do that on Uncyclopedia images, and it'll work, but say if I go to Wikipedia and try to place its images on here, it won't let me. Do you know what I'm sayin'? -Aidepolcycnu 22:57, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

Well, it is possible, I think, but it is recommended you really shouldn't. It's best to save it on your computer from another wiki then upload it to the Uncyclopedia pictures database so you can use it here. Don't worry about it, you'll get used to it all pretty soon, even if it takes you a while. -- Hindleyite | PL | GUN | WOTM | Image Review - Use it | Converse 10:04, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Is it because of the whole copyrighting thing? Yeah, that's what I thought. Anyways, thanks for all of your help. I really appreciate it. --Aidepolcycnu 13:42, 19 August 2006 (UTC)Aidepolcycnu

No problem, glad to be of service -- Hindleyite 09:41, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
