  • ach! i always forget to sign things.
anyway im 16 but speed racer and stuff is still pretty funny to me. I draw a lot of my humor from old tv shows and movies i used to watch (eg if youve ever seen legend s of the hidden temple, Indiana Jones is full of references to it, and most of my articles so far have some joking references to Star Wars)
I think a couple VH1 shows are actually really funny. Best Week Ever is great if you've seen it because theres a lot of younger comedians making fun of stupid tabloid trash, and I love new york is absolutely tasteless - not funny - but funny because of how stupid it is. Family Guy, Futurama, Daily Show, and of course Colbert are standards. a lot of others i could name. anyway Im definately a geek in that I love star wars video game humor but not as much a nerd. thanks for deciding to help!

Actually, you're doing nice. I laughed a bit with the few thing you've written up to now. Finish it, don't leave too short sections or paragraphs and take care of the picture alignment in order to make it pretty - pretty, in case, is just a normal, wikipedia-look-alike article. I can help you with that part if you need. If you get stuck with something, maybe I can add a bit to your article as well.

edit Template Help

I'm Making an page about my 'adventures' on Wikipedia. It's based on my IP talk page Because its the only page I am able to edit while banned so I usally insult the admins in a number of witty ways. I want it to look like it's really a wikipedian talk page. So I need the Wikipedian banning template n stuff.

Can you help? Here my Wikipedia User Talk Page so you get an idea what I need.

edit Rewriting Chuck Norris

I am gonna attept the impossible. I am gonna rewrite...the Chuck Norris page. Is there any thing special I need to do cause this is my first rewrite. Like is there a way to block Ip users from editing.--→☃☭Mr.Huffy☭☃← 12:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Whoa! Hang on, kiddo. That is an article with its own legion of fanboys. So you may start an edit war. Create a clone of Chuck Norris' article at your user space and edit it until you find it good. Then pee review it. So you can replace the older article with a single easily revertable edit - not that, if you have some consensus, your version will not prevail. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 16:25, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Dear IP,

  • First, the default advice: join in.
  • Second, never replace an article with one line. This can get you a ban, even if you are just an IP - your IP number will be blocked and you will be prevented from further editing.
  • Third, this is a satirical encyclopedia, so you can't expect articles to take lightly on their subjects.

edit Look, NeedABrain

Ok, I've got nothing against you, but im almost Certain that you have something against me. First of all, i have to state that This is uncyclopedia. We're not supposed to be serious all the time. Posting my name under AAN was a joke! seriously, who the bloody hell would ask to be adopted by me? It clearly states under my namespace on AAN that "I suck". AAN in itself is only a half serious thing. As for the nomination for myself for admin, couldn't you detect the sarcasm in the post? It was obviously a joke nom, and everyone else has seemed to accept that.

Also, I do relatively often post stuff for vfd, qvfd, ban patrol or etc. I'm not as unknown as you think. In fact, many people already do know me. I may not be the most popular person on the site or even popular, but you are in fact the first person to have such negative feedback about me.

Again, you said "Posting insightful comments in forums are welcome from anyone - provided they are on-topic" Well look. I was posting in Off Topic section. Does that sound like a place for on-topic posts to go? Exactly.

Unlike lots of people on this site, including you (correct me if i'm wrong), I don't aspire to greatness or adminship or anything. I just find this site amusing, and i contribute occasionly towards it. I am creating articles, although I haven't posted them yet, (I prefer not to make them under namespaces) they're on their way towards being created.

To finish this off, does going on to Braydies talk page and asking for help look like being a spoilt attention whore to you? Does that count as "Lacking the humbleness" (as you put it) to you? The truth is, you are the Only person i have met so far on this site who has had such a rude and in-your-face approach to calming down a noob who has sent things a little bit too far. Talking like that may get your way, but it won't get you any friends. A nicer way to put it would be "You seem to be taking things a little bit to far on the forums" or "Try to be a bit more well known before you start posting things like that, ok?" would be better if you want to calm a noob down in the future.--User:Zerotrousers/sig 07:02, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

edit MTXTV

Cheers for your quick eye on the updates. However, if you'd read the article or the other articles it links to, you'd see that it's part of the absolutely huge complex of Megatexas articles, and I can only write and draw the stuff so fast. This is a multiyear project and I'm not going to wait until 2009 to post the MTXTV article -- I'd been working on it for two years already before I got the channel list right!

As such, I'm going to take off your banner -- it doesn't really add anything to the article, and would probably deter participation, and I just plain don't think it's pretty. If you'd like to add anything to the article itself, though, please feel free. --Geoffsebesta 18:29, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

I knew it is part of a series when I added the tag. ICU just means you have to improve it, not that it's already dead meat. Or else I would have added it to QVFD instead. Remove all of those red links and add content to the text, and pics. If you want time to build up this article, move it to you user space. That's somewhat just the default policies, I'm not doing nothing original. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 18:43, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Look, seriously. This is a big deal to me. I want the article there. The red does not bother me. I don't see why it bothers you. I've been around Uncyclopedia for a while, I'm a damn good citizen, and this is important to the way I see Uncyclopedia, and the form of contribution that I want to make here. I know that you have a different vision of Uncyclopedia, but I need you to explain to me what harm a red link does if you insist on following me around with this stuff. I sincerely do not see a problem, and I do not see the banner as an improvement.

If that red is not a personal affront to you -- unless you simply cannot see your way clear to letting me work on Uncyclopedia in my own way, knowing that I do good work and give back to Uncyclopedia at least as much as I get from it, I would like you to leave that article alone. I want you to leave all my articles alone. I think very hard about everything I put on this site. The red links are an essential part of the process. It took me a year to fill in Walt on Megatexas Yet it happened. It would not have happened if I was getting perturbed over silly banners that demand that I not type a word unless I have a hilarity dissertation about it prepared.

If you do not delete MTXTV, I will fill it in as fast as I can. If you do delete it, my enjoyment of Uncyclopedia will be severely impaired.

Please do not add this banner to the article. Please do not delete my article because you think that it might have too much red. It is directly contradictory to what I am trying to accomplish here. I do not want to argue. I want to write articles.

I am not an admin to discuss such issues with you. What I have done, I believe, is just accordingly our standard policies. Talk to an admin, explain what are you planning to do, and he may remove the ICU. But the better way to write a long sequence of articles is building them in your user space and moving to the main space just when you're done. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 15:22, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

edit My Lord!

I was wondering, how does one make these nifty user templates? Or just templates I suppose in general. Leatherboundbooks 23:17, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry for the delay... I was banging my head against the desk trying to remember a word. There it goes:

My dear acolyte (cool, huh?)... First, remember to look at the beginning of people's talk pages to see if they prefer comments at the top or at the bottom of the page. Now answering your question, you have to know how to use two HTML tags, the DIV and the SPAN. But tell me exactly what do you have in mind. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 23:34, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Ah duh! Sorry. Anyway, what I want is a user:template for my page, and the occasional pee review incorporating. It'd say something along the lines of This article loses, you get nothing, good day sir.
I didn't understand a word you said after the "for my page" part but, anyway, all of the user boxes consist in a small page named Template:User Something (there's no standard, could be UserSomething, user something, Something user, etc, but the Template qualifier is mandatory). In that page, there's almost always a DIV HTML tag or a wiki table, both being formatted almost the same way. Try this: copy the code from one of my userboxes and start changing it until you get what you want. Use the preview button several times. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 00:12, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Look milord! Success!

This article has failed utterly to meet Uncyclopedia's standard of greatness.

ah i forgot to sign, but on said topic, how does one get a cool signature like most the other users? The explanation page doesn't help much and its not the kinda thing i can learn from editing others' it appears. Leatherboundbooks 03:23, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't know what to ask you for now...I guess you help me with this page.--→☃☭Mr.Huffy☭☃← 04:19, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm... that's a little hard for me to grasp while hearing 19 buses on the street bellow, at 130 dB noise rate. And living in a latin country where people shout everytime (in that case, just at 120dB) at your ears to show how they are so latin and how they are having so much fun for being so oh-so-latin.
By the way, maybe a bit of irony can make things funnier - express your infinite bore in the whole article, as if the author was lazy or not really in the mood to talk about that oh-so-little oh-so-lovely town. Also remove that cliché picture of the old fart - find something surprising instead. I would lend you my granny if she was not scared from having her spirit stolen by the camera. Maybe Mrs. White or. Cel. Mustard from Clue? -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 11:32, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

edit New Article Underway, etc

So I have what I think is a clever spin on the Boston Massacre under works, not sure if you studying US history ever or know much about the baseball teams, but it should be pretty funny.

Anyway, I also had a nice review over at pee review the other day and was wondering what to do when you feel as if an article is over scored. Not that I don't like this article, but [[Talk:HowTo:Impress a Girl|Howto:Impress a Girl]] fared much less well even though I liked it better. Well what are you gonna do..

Anyway, I was thinking about self-nomming an article just to see how it would fend. Seeing as Im somewhat a noob Im hesitant to do it but it would most likely be howto:impress a girl. Whatcha think? LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 00:23, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

There's no problem in self-nominating if don't repeat the nomination and don't nominate shamefully failured articles too often. Being sincere, I think Noobs Gets PWNED has more chance for having less simmilar ideas over here. And also I just got an new idea for you to improve it. See this article. What if you write your article as an insider reporter of WoWC?
PS: you are almost not a n00b anymore. You're still fresh, but already accustomed to our procedures. If you feel like to, maybe I'm "graduating" you soon - with a neat template. Of course you can come back anytime for further help. Aw, and thank for your vote to the fat ladies stuff - you gave me the original idea. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 04:37, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Yay, kiddo, things are fast over here. Now I've noticed the N00bs gets PWNED stuff got a nomination. Don't change a thing while the voting is on process. If it failures, you can rewrite and nominate it over again. Got my vote. Good luck! -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 04:44, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! I don't really care, I like being able to ask you about an article every so often, so you don't have to graduate me necessarily, I'll probably just check here less often. Also, I have to say that UnNews article is great, but I wasn't sure what you meant. Add narration? LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 20:38, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Well, if you manage to feature this article, you're going to be graduated with honorable mention, hehehe. You may narrate the article yourself. Record a mp3 file and upload it as it was an image, after link it to your article (I'm not sure how, see other unnews articles). Another option is asking your fellow users for a narration. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 20:49, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 23:17, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

In that case, you should have added the unsigned template yourself (see, people may get very confused without signatures). About your article, hang on, I will take a closer look in about 15 minutes. By the way, the intro seems so good I think I'm graduating you today. Oh, and... did you notice something different in VFH nowadays? Don't vote! First, tell me what do you think. After you can vote for, against or not at all. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 23:22, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Hehe, I had to think about that one a little bit. although I am partial to howto:run away from fat ladies, I liked it. At first I didn't get the whole Luke Cage but then I figured I'd wikipedia it and then I laughed pretty hard actually. anyways, I also wanted to wait til some other people voted so as to make it seem as if I wasn't just being a total whore. LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 23:42, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

I like it more than the Fat Ladies because it has some serious ironic social commentary. Your article was reviewed by me. Now, let me make you a template. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 23:48, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Agh! Problem- forgot to mention this earlier. Fortune cookie is already an article, albeit not a very good one, but I only noticed it after having finished the older version of the article that you reviewed. (Confucius links to it) Anyway, I have put it under VFD, but I could possibly move it to Fortune Cookie and then cut my article and put it in its place, but that seems rude w/o democratically obliterating the old one. Basically, help me delete the old one if you see fit. LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 01:24, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Quite simple. Turn the older article into a redirect to your article and then leave a comment on VFD and on the previous article talk page. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 01:26, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Ah, so just avoid the bureacracy and do what I want? Problem now is that there are actually some keep votes. Go figure. LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 01:57, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Oh, shit! You better have kept the low profile... Comment on VFD and talk page anyway and wait to see if somebody answers. I had a simmilar problem with Onomatopoeia and solved it by linking the previous (and crappy) article to my page. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 02:00, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

edit Fat Girl

Having read your article on the HowTo:Run Away From Fat Ladies, could you take a look at Fat Girl article that I wrote? Suggestions, complaits, anything? Dame PPsigPPlips.gifGUN PotY WotM 2xPotM 17xVFH VFP Poo PMS •YAP• 21:51, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

A rebuttal! Cool! Hmm... What about talking a little more about the relationship between fat girls and straight men? There are fat girl admirers around, like a cult. And average men (not that liking fat girls is a perversion, just a non-ortodox taste, in my view) don't hate fat girls as much as they say - in my own article I talked about the possibility of "falling in love". Men are also can be quite complicated sometimes, hehehe... -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 22:15, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Chubby Chasers? Hum. That, to me, is a whole article into itself. As for men, if you can figure my husband out, let me know, you just might win and get to keep him. Dame PPsigPPlips.gifGUN PotY WotM 2xPotM 17xVFH VFP Poo PMS •YAP• 22:38, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
I think, as the article's name proposes a wide subject (no pun intended), it could be expanded (no pun intended) to fit (n.p.i) this side as well - or you may split this in a category or sub-articles. But that's up to you. The concept is funny thus. Maybe you could put more emphasis on defending the fat girl's point of view, making it actually a counter to HT:RAFFL, a female-centric article. What about? -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 22:44, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
I changed the article title. According to my brother, it should have been The Fat Girl, not just a Fat Girl. And while not twiggy myself, I am not a Fat Girl, although I could play one on TV. Dame PPsigPPlips.gifGUN PotY WotM 2xPotM 17xVFH VFP Poo PMS •YAP• 22:49, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
My girlfriend is 1,60 m by 48 kg (I'm too lazy to convert this to pounds and inches). Aw, this "The" remembered me of my superhero. I couldn't find the Pandaman you've mentioned - all that appears is a One Piece character, with no split personality whatsoever. Can you provide me a link? By the way, I think my premise is not creating a split super, a relatively common idea (see Street Fighter 3 last boss), but satirizing racism, counter-racism and racial relationships. Specially the fact that Americans can't conceive the idea that a half black and half white person is not simply "black" but, well, half black and half white. The one drop rule stuff makes blackness appear as a genetic disease, a "stain" in your ancestry - it's no different having an Indian (that gives you a 100% "white" fenotype) or a black (a great chance of you appearing just as a tanned southern Italian) grand-grandfather. People are people, just it. Also, a 100% African person has all the right to behave accordingly to his or her own personality, not politicized slurs. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 23:05, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Huh? And I take exception with your comment that Americans can't can't conceive of.... How dare you you! You don't even know me and here you are generalizing everyone (including me)in with the bigot faction! As for your bringing the one drop rule up, I thought that kind of thinking disapeared from the world in the 1920s (except in Alabama, Mississippi and KKK meetings). As for Panda Man - that, sir, came from a National Lampoon. Dame PPsigPPlips.gifGUN PotY WotM 2xPotM 17xVFH VFP Poo PMS •YAP• 18:31, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Calm down, calm down... I was talking about a cultural trend, perceived from an ousider viewpoint, and I can see vestiges of segregation even in affirmative action discourses today. People still seems to pigeonhole themselves in fixed categories when talking about race. But that's a general trend, and I am a radical individualist - one thing is the cultural substract, one thing far different is a person. Serious, if you see my history in discussion lists, my article about my own country or even IRC talks and even my votes, you will easily confirm that I am one of the least likely persons up here you can accuse of anti-Americanism. In fact, that was the first time I tried to criticize something American. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 18:52, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Alright then, my panties are unknotted. The whole race thing gets to me - hits a raw nerve, because I feel whatever you do you're set up to fail. At cultural diversity training at a job (that I had before Baby Flegget was born) had us all in for training. They showed slides up on the screen and we were to write down what we saw. Well, this one image was of this woman with a really beautiful smile, and I got called on to tell the group my answer for that slide. "What did you write when you saw this image?" A woman with a wonderful smile. Is that All the instructor asked, and I answered honestly "Yes." Well let me tell you I got taking to the wood shed for not recognizing that she was also an African American woman as well - and by not recognizing that I was denying her of view point on the world. Well three or so people later a woman answered that she had seen a black man and the instructor jumped on her brutal - "Why can't you just see a man?" And then wer all got smacked down for seeing color. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. I got up and walked out and my boss jumped my shit over it. But what are you going to do? Then, for this personal experience, I bet you got the spirt of my article. You probably also have heard about the weird Brazilian way when dealing with racism, which is considering everybody officially mixed and officially "Brazilian". You will never hear a goverment or intellectual authority recognizing that samba is simply a form of black music - and it clearly is, as almost all samba parties, at least here in Sao Paulo, are mostly attended by black people (proud black people, mostly also classic funk and hip hop fans, well aware of local form of racism). The so-called whites go there to see an oddity - so there's absolutely no difference between Brazilians looking for "Brazilian music" and French tourists seeking for our "exotism". Exotism kills humanity - you are not dealing anymore with human conscious beings, but with a bunch of good savages - and thus it's a form of bleeding-heart racism. But I'm going off-topic. Anyhow, just as another proof I am not anti-American, see how I satirized the local racism extensively in Brazil article.
My solution? You were perfectly right: you saw a black woman and treated her as a person. Maybe you found her smile so beautiful because black people have those hearthy smiles, with the constrast between the skin and the ice-white teeth detaching the simile from the landscape. When you look to a Louie Armstrong photograph, don't you just feel the urge to hug that lovely human specimen? :) But what if you have noticed the eerie blue eyes of a Swedish man? What's the difference? -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 20:03, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
HAH! You assume that I saw her smile because of the white teeth and dark skin! Not so, I saw a joy in her eyes. I notice that in a smile more than the mouth. Why? Because the eyes are a doorway to the soul, and far more expressive than a mouth. And you can force your mouth into a smile and your eyes will betray you - they always do. As for me hugging Louis Armstrong, no, that would not happen. Why? He's been decomposing for almost 30 years, and I am not that type of girl. Touche! I was wondering how gay and corny could I be in a single phrase... hehehe. By the way, and maybe finishing this huge discussion we had despite probably agreeing since the beginning, in sum, what I meant was "yeah, people are different indeed and not being racist is not necessarily being color-blind". It's a case of goodwill and seeing people as individuals, not groups. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 15:04, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

edit Might be off for awhile

I'm just a little depressed at the moment...

Just the whole Famine has really got to me I guess...

I have had a pretty stressful life up to now...

This just brought back a lot of bad memories. Sorry you might not understand, but I need to have a break...--SIR T H A T G U Y H U F F E D M E Snowman throw a snowball Snowman 02:11, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

edit Blandford

Hey NeedABrain I'm going to seft nominate Blandford for Vfh soon. Wish me luck! You can vote For or aganist it I don't care. But you may find yourseft headless down a well if you vote aganist it!--SIR T H A T G U Y H U F F E D M E Snowman throw a snowball Snowman 11:56, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm adding little bits of text for it. When talking about smaller, less known cities, bear in mind that the city itself has no interest for most readers, you have to catch them by the text. Do you know Clue, the game? For outsiders, it maybe fits the definition of "Traditionally English".
Oh, and... dind't you notice something on VFH now? -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 15:10, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

edit UnBooks?

So I've never tried one, and I thought for my first attempt it would be funny to write an unbook that provides detailed analysis on the social criticisms of Spiderman 3 (hey, I just saw it) anyway, how do those work anyway? (I probably won't get to work on this until tommorow just fyi) thx. LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 03:20, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

An UnBook is a story, it doesn't need to describe anything and should be written in a non-encyclopedic, literary style. See Dashing Dame for a great example and Practical Lessons on Communism for a far humbler one (sooo hypocrite I am). -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 03:23, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Aw, and I'm planning one as well. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 03:23, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Scratch that first thought, Ive taken the concept of a movie analysis and applied it to something far less easy to call what would you say, "deep." It makes me so excited I can't even mention the idea brewing! LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 02:16, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Please, take a look. I'm not entirely sure if its an unbook or just a normal article of misinformation. Either way, there isn't already an article on the movie. See for yourself, UnBooks:Animal House, a Social Criticism. LeatherboundbooksTalkContributions 02:59, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Sorry for not reviewing it in depth for now (I'll do it later, promise) but on a quick glance I can say it's a regular article, not UnBook. An UnBook is fictional piece itself, not a description of such piece. It also can be a stage play or a non-literary mock-book as cookbooks, self-help, manuals etc. -- herr doktor needsAbrain Rocket [scream!] 03:17, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
