[edit] If you have a second
So yeah, while you're doing exammy stuff, and of course I wish you well with that, you haven't considered the really important upcoming event that is the UnSignposts' first birthday. Now, I'm planning a little article in celebration of this momentous occasion, and I'd ideally like comments from the key contributors. You are still listed as an editor on the USP page, and did articles and stuff, so you count. Therefore can you spare a minute from your hectic schedule to make a pithy/pertinent/boring/whatever comment on this frankly unprecedented situation? Would be much obliged. Oh, and good luck with stuff. --UU - natter

- One... Two... Three... etc... So I'm not paying attention to what I'm typing? What's the big deal, some of us only just got up, you know? And anyway, I'm pretty sure it's my keyboard's fault. It's falling to bits. ~Orian57~

- It's et cetera /pedantic. And Orian's keyboards just sticky, apparently. –—Hv (talk) 28/04 17:02

- Sure, I'll bite. Coming up with a decent quote is probably more of a challenge than what work I'm doing right now. Let's see... "It's amazing that our wonderful newspaper has lasted for so long, especially when you figure
theus editors have had nothing to work with but "OMGZ THIS WIKI IZ D00MED" stories since about Issue IV. It's a great tribute totheus editors' ability to make Cajek-filled fluff pieces up on the fly. Maybetheywe should try for the Daily Mail?". Yeah, that'll do I think. And thanks! –—Hv (talk) 28/04 17:02 - Oh, and when you read this UU, could you do me a quick favour and unprotect/unmoveprotect this and my proper userpage? –—Hv (talk) 28/04 17:14
[edit] Dood
I haven't seen or interacted with you in months, Hv! • <15:08 May 26, 2009>
- Not surprising at all considering neither of us have been here (as a side note: last week's UnSignpost does a massive feature on users shutting down, and not a mention? Always thought I was under the radar...). The fact that you're here, however, is making it ever harder for me to stay away from this place, but I'm managing. Now if you were to offer me a big vat of Irn-Bru on the other hand... –—Hv (talk) 26/05 20:34
- I'm sorry for not mentioning you in the UnSignpost. 20:49, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- People are always coming and going, it's hard to keep track. What have you been up to? I'm just hanging out, writing stuff. • <20:59 May 26, 2009>
- @S.O.A.U.U. - No need to be sorry - 'twas a joke on how I've never really been a proper community member here. @Cajek - Exams. Ridiculously easy exams, but still, exams. Looking at mid-June as a proper return date, though I do have an article to polish up before then. –—Hv (talk) 26/05 21:08

[edit] List Question
So, nice to see you about Hv. Hope the examifications went well. Now, to business: as someone who has had the deep pleasure of updating the list, would you care to weigh in on this discussion? --UU - natter

[edit] Hvs back!
I'd forgotten you were back, like above would like to well wish the exams (I hope they made you lose!) and also just say HI! Orian57 Talk
19:08 15 June 2009
- Hey! Exams were a piece of piss, so no losing for me (of course, being OMGSCHOOLRECORDBREAKINGSTUDENT doesn't hurt either - one of the Apprentice finalists went to my school). You didn't notice probably 'cause I still haven't been around much, I need a decent article concept really. If I'm honest, Uncyc feels totally different to when I left, more... tension-y (is that a word?). Anyway, ramble over, what have I missed? –—Hv (talk) 15/06 19:13
- Lots of stuff, MrN came back in the early hours of this morning. I re-wrote Writing at much the same time and then started something else. I also had four features throughout May and am in line for my second "top article of the month" (What do you think of that article btw?) Before that it's hard to distinguish one event from the other. There's quite a few new users since you were last properly active (I think) but you know how it it after a few days it feels like they've been around for ever. And that's all the news that immediatly comes to mind (most of which is me-related, that probably says something Freudian). I'm pretty sure Uncyc changes quite rapidly, if you go away for any length of time things will feel different. If you're like me and are here all day everyday, though you tend not to notice it. Personally wouldn't have said there was any tension, though. As for the exams glad they went OK for you (I had a couple of higers last month too, I think they went OK) and it's good to have you back! Oh and I has new sig! Orian57 Talk
19:28 15 June 2009
- I've definitely noticed new faces, it's like the start of 2008 all over again. You've really come on as a writer, I've got to say - that sandcastle one's better than anything I've wrote for sure. As for the tension thing, thinking about it I guess Uncyc is always like that and I'm just not used to it. Hope the highers went well. –—Hv (talk) 15/06 19:34
- :D It's my favourite article that I've written (and there's still time to vote for it on top of the month...?). Here's its epic (but not quite as good as the original) sequel! And yeah, Like I saod fairly confident about the Higers but ultimitly unconcerned if I get them or not. Pretty much decided I'm going to do writing for a living (I mean I already have several stale abandoned manuscripts and no idea how to get an agent -- so I'm well on my way!). Unlike you Mr reality-tv-show-failure-went-to-school-and-I-sat-in-his-seat (actually that has teh grains of an idea in it, don't you think?). Orian57 Talk
19:43 15 June 2009
- Hey! It was a her, actually. And possible collab idea? –—Hv (talk) 15/06 19:50
- Oh my god! The Badger went to your school!!! That is awsome! And collab, sure! I love the idea of collabs but never really get round to them. But we will need a full concept. I think possibly a school assembly with said reality failure giving a talk, could be quite good. Whats you thoughts? Orian57 Talk
19:55 15 June 2009
- Nope, the last Apprentice season (Kate whatsername, I don't watch it so I wouldn't know). And I was thinking more of a kid being touted as the next reality failure going through school trying and thinking he's failing to be said failure, when in fact he's actually being better than him/her. But your idea's better of course. –—Hv (talk) 15/06 20:05
- Could probably combine them! Make it a proper collab, your guy can be my guys adversory (like always correcting him and stuff and things). And I've never watched the aprentice, I only know about The Badger because she was the butt of a joke in Peep Show and I had to look her up. Orian57 Talk
20:15 15 June 2009
- I've never watched it either, only know about it due to the local papers. And d'you mean advisory or adversary? Good idea on the combining though. –—Hv (talk) 15/06 20:38

[edit] RE: the review
- Love the idea about youtube comments - can't belive I forgot about those.
- Kind of realised myself actually that it probably wasn't feature worthy, I requested the review pretty soon after writing it so there was that post natal glow, you know?
- Still don't have a spell check on the browser, but I've taken to writing in Word first and that gets most of them. I really am just useless at spelling. Although I intended the american spellings of the "pedia" because that's how they're spelt. I too prefer the "ae" though.
- The second picture now that you mention it probably does need changing, but it was a joke you'd get if you watched the video. Everytime teh guy mentioned conservapedia he'd float teh camera over the logo. But yeah.
Anyhoo, great to see you back and doing shit! and if you enjoy my writing so much why not have a look at this and maybe vote for. The other unscript on VFH is mine too, FYI. Also could I have a quick "feature: yes or no" for this - the other two articles by this character were featured and I'd love to make it a nice round three. Anyway now that I've throughouly whored most of my recent works (except for this -- but it's shit (a thousand times less shit than what was there though).) I bid thee goodnight. :P Orian57 Talk

[edit] Dungeons & Dragons & Dead Links Oh My!
On your user pages User:Heerenveen/PLS/results and User:Heerenveen/PLS/winners you link to User:Guildensternenstein/Dungeons & Dragons: Real Life Edition: Character Races. You might want to know this article is now found at Dungeons & Dragons: Real Life Edition. Thank you for listening. (And no I had nothing to do with the article and don't even play D & D. Just thought you'd want to know!) Dame Pleb Cpt. Miley Spears (talk) 01:34, September 2, 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out, however, it is intentional, as PLS results have AFAIK always linked to the userpage version regardless of whether it has been deleted or not. Thanks anyway. –—Hv (talk) 2/09 09:59
