## Huffing

After huffing please write also the reason. It may help to improve the quality of future contributions. Thanks.

Generally, if I delete an article it is because the article obviously deserved deletion or came up on VFD. Sometimes, my deletions are more heuristic but without knowing which article you are referring to, I really can't help with providing a reason. If you tell me the article, I will be more than happy to explain the reason for its deletion. --Sir gwax (talk) 09:29, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

## Huffing

User:NXWave, a now-banned vandal, stalked me and kept removing Image:Wikipedia_donate_ad.gif. Without knowing about the stalking, you removed it. Could you please undo the huff? Thanks.

SteveSims 03:46, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Undo which huff? Tell me the name of the specific article that was huffed and I'll look into it. --Sir gwax (talk) 06:46, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
I restored it. Make sure you actually use it somewhere, or it will be deleted again. Sir Cs1987 UOTM. t. c 07:29, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

## Where'd you go?

I went back to being busy with my life and being bad at hanging out on Uncyclopedia. It's been happening on and off since VFD burned me out long ago. --Sir gwax (talk) 04:45, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
VFD can burn you out? Hmm... Seriously, I read back through the early days of VFD once. Mad times. Looks like it's cooled down a bit these days. Helps having a Poopsmith who is not the same guy that actually deletes the articles I guess. I wondered if you had noticed my proposal. It's just an idea to try to cull some crap without pissing too many people off. Kinda VFD turned on its head. One vote from anyone, and the article is kept. I really don't understand why anyone could be opposed to it.
Oh, I have not forgotten about the new version of the beginners guide either in case you were wondering gwax. I have some new recruits working on it, and it's coming on just fine... I think this guide is probably one of the hardest pages to write on Uncyc, and I actually keep changing my mind about how to do it. I will do it however. The latest version is here although, as I said, there is still a lot more to do on it. I'm planning it on the talk page... /me nips off to get burned some more at VFD... MrN  Fork you! 08:56, Mar 11
Well, gwaxy, you'll always be welcome here. Enjoy your life and whatever.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 20:06, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
To add to what LJ just said... I for one would also really like to see more of you here. I don't know if you remember this or this, but your level headed attitude and reasonable thinking at the time were one of the main things which convinced me to stick around when I was wondering if I would. Had it not been for you, and some encouragement from Mhaille I'm sure I would not still be here... Oh, and not everyone knows why there is a Wildebeest on my user page, so don't tell em eh? :-) MrN  Fork you! 20:26, Mar 11
Don't worry, I haven't given up on Uncyclopedia; I still love this place more than anywhere else on the Internets. I'll try to get myself back in here more often when things in my real life settle down a little bit. --Sir gwax (talk) 06:12, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

## Hello, my name's Ozmaweezer and I'm a noob

So, I need some help and I see you are "noob friendly." I had a username "Ozmaweezer." My last log in was on 1/26/08. I seem to have been deleted. Rather than create a new username, I'd like to reinstate "Ozmaweezer." How do I do this and why did I get deleted? Thanks a lot 72.193.232.91 18:49, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't actually know how to reinstate a deleted username. I recommend going into the chatroom and asking around for help. There tend to be a bunch of admins and knowledgeable folks hanging out in the chatroom most of the time. --Sir gwax (talk) 06:21, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

## Help on changing page names and redirects!

This is my second day on here, and after minutes of searching, I have absolutely exhausted my possible solutions. How do I make redirects, and how do I change the main name of a page? Metro PCS should be titled MetroPCS, and I want to redirect metro pcs to it.

--Jayred1015 17:57, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

I have done it for you my friend. You use the "move" button at the top. The one just to the right of history... If you move anything else, be cautious however, and make sure you read the on screen instructions. Moving pages can cause trouble if done wrong. Enjoy. MrN  Fork you! 18:32, Mar 16

## Canadian Tire Money?

I notice you deleted Canadian Tire Money back in December, listing the reason as being "VFD". I can't find any VfD discussion related to it in that time period, though. Could you perhaps direct me to it? I made a minor contribution to that article a while back and I can't imagine why the article as a whole would be removed. Bryan Derksen 18:25, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Here's an old revision that shows why Gwax deleted it. If you'd like, I can recreate it in your userspace. Also, in the future, you probably shouldn't contact admins who are pretty unactive, and should instead try contacting active admins (unless you love the feeling of waiting around for a reply). -- 21:21, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty inactive myself so waiting around is fine. :) As for userspace recreation, yes, I'd like that. I am quite puzzled by that VfD since last time I recall looking at the article it wasn't that bad. I'm sure there's humor to be salvaged from it. Bryan Derksen 16:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

## Newbie help!

Was it because I did it anonymously? A piece I wrote on Nicholas Hilliard, lightly poking fun at Wikipedia in the style of Jordanhill Railway Station, was shamelessly deleted, apparently without trial. How can I avoid such injustice in the future? 76.29.63.95 18:54, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

The piece you wrote was incredibly short and more nonsensical than comedic. In short, time is funny, one liners are not. It can be very frustrating to show up and have your articles deleted but we try very hard to maintain a standard of quality. You really should read the Beginner's Guide before you delve into editing too deeply. Generally, I recommend reading the best of to get an idea of what is considered good around here then start editing and improving articles. After you manage to get a feel for what is suitable, then start writing your own articles. Stick with it, you're in exactly the same position that I and many other people have been in before. --Sir gwax (talk) 00:58, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

## Vanity Article

$Insert formula here$

Hi Gwax, you had helped me before with an article couple years back and because it was a vanity article it was labelled thus. My question is why was it removed? I understand that it was lack of Google hits and that you hadn't heard of the subject before? If at all possible could I have this userspace thing and then incorporate the article there? There were like sub pages with it, too. Like a "cast of characters" and because you had helped me as I was a newbie, I thought your contributions were funny and insightful. Nacky 08:29, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Nacky

Okay, I just looked and the article still exists, but in a mirror dimension...how's that work and can I post that link instead of the one it used to dwell at? I have to say that I was relieved it was all still there in its entirety and although you're hardly around, I put these questions here as you were the one who shifted it to the mirror site. How long does the mirror side last? Can I have that whole article in something else, maybe? Like whatever this userspace is? Nacky 08:47, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Nacky

$\mathbf{\vec{F}_i} = 4 \epsilon \left( 12\,{\frac {{\sigma_{j i}}^{12}}{{|\vec{r}_j - \vec{r}_i|}^{14}}}-6\,{\frac{{\sigma_{j i}}^{6}}{{|\vec{r}_j - \vec{r}_i|}^{8}}} \right) \left( \vec{r}_j - \vec{r}_i \right) ; \mathbf{\vec{F}_j} = -\mathbf{\vec{F}_i}$
I have a vague recollection of what you're talking about but unless you give me some links or specific ways to find what it is that you're talking about, I'm really not going to be able to provide much help. Also, I really don't know what you mean by saying that your articles are in a "mirror dimension". I'll be more than happy to help you try to figure things out but you're going to have to be more precise about what you want done and with which articles. --Sir gwax (talk) 22:21, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Gwax, here's the article's new link http://mirror.uncyc.org/wiki/Smugkepe and I used the term "mirror demension" because I couldn't think of a better word. Mirror site, mirror link, mirror something. I was hoping the article could stay as I poured alot of work into it and you helped me with the connecting pages to it. What is this "userspace"? Is that just really my own profile and I can incorporate the article there? I mean if it stays in the mirror side then it's really not a problem. I just didn't want to see it go altogether.

I hope you're doing well. And so sorry I have been so scarce and have not contributed anything in a while. Nacky 23:40, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Nacky

It has been restored and moved to your userspace at User:Nacky/Smugkepe. Vanity policies dictate that you cannot have personal pages that do not appeal to a general audience in the main namespace but you can keep whatever you want in your userspace. Don't apologize to me about being scarce; I've hardly done anything here in over a year. --Sir gwax (talk) 04:14, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

I was wondering if it will also stay up at the mirror site, as well? I hope it does...the link is shorter/more concise. And thank you for your help! It is appreciated. Nacky 03:19, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Nacky

You're welcome. I know nothing about the mirror and cannot speak to matters involving it. --Sir gwax (talk) 23:28, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
