Do not add articles to VFD that are only hours old. Either tag them with maintainance tags, or if they have no chance of ever being useful, add them to QVFD. SirFamine,Gun♣Petition»28/10 00:37
Sure, won't happen again. Thanks for the direction! Gnome …MUNF@H 00:41, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Hey - no problem. We try to keep VFD focused on pages which are old and sucky. The {{NRV}} and {{ICU}} tags do a pretty good job of managing new, crappy articles. Along with QVFD, of course. Thanks for trying to help out - more help is always appreciated. SirFamine,Gun♣Petition»28/10 00:47
I wouldn't recommend randomly removing the QFH tag from articles if I were you. QFH means the article was nommed for highlighting, got a lot of support but not enough to make the cut, and at least one user enjoyed it enough to feel it deserved at least a QFH. --User:Nintendorulez 23:18, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
User:Anyone was looking for people on IRC to remove these: "who wants to help me revert an assload of incorrectly placed QFHs?". So I helped him. Unfortunately, some were indeed nommed. Thanks for reverting them. I hope my mistakes will be forgiven, I was just trying to help. --Gnome …MUNF@H 23:24, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
There's QFH articles that weren't actually nommed in the past? Ah, didn't realize. I'll have to keep an eye out for improper use of the template in the future when scanning recentchanges... --User:Nintendorulez 23:28, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
These are the ones we looked at. I'm looking through them if we removed some more mistakenly just now. --Gnome …MUNF@H 23:35, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Ugh, it's even worse than that. The few I checked once had the nomination template on them, but can't be found on any VFH archive page....
Yes, I've had a look at all of them now. It seems it's the same: They once had a nomination template, but don't turn up on VFH archive pages. I reverted some (4, to be precise) of them before I started checking, but left the others alone. What do you think, shall we re-revert the other ones again? :P --Gnome …MUNF@H 00:09, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
flyingfeline has awarded you a hug and a biscuit. She would also like to scream hysterically in your ear, but is afraid it would get her desysopped.
You're welcome! After all it was you who helped me when I was a noob. And thanks for not screaming in my ear ;-) -- Gnome …MUNF@H 13:27, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
how dare you delete my copying of the and goings. it just kept going. —The preceding unsigned comment was added byONX (talk • contribs)
Simple enough: it does not make the article any funnier, but awfully increases loading time. Readers will either simply skip the section, or get annoyed and go away. Either way, it's not doing anything good. —Gnome …MUNF@H 15:09, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
You're referring to HowTo:Survive the Impending Zombie Invasion, right? Well, why not? I have to admit I'm not very creative or funny at most times, but killing Zombies will be fun. —Gnome …MUNF@H 20:29, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Sorry if I caused any problems, my thinking was merely that a article of such ridiculous brevity could be easily huffed with further thought. Sorry for being over zealous in my efforts to improve the site. --The Rt. Hon.BarryCMUN(Symposium!)Sigh.Double Sigh. 12:03, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
To be honest, I agree with you that there should be a faster way for speedy execution of old, crappy articles such as this one, and VfD'ing it is part of my plan: I decided to post a daily addition to VfD this week, see what happens, and eventually create a forum topic about the matter. The problem is that QVfD, ICU and similar stuff are intended for new articles only (You'll probably have seen the notice on your own user talk by now). —Gnome …MUNF@H 12:10, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
