edit Welcome!

Hello, Globulin, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for people like you:

If you read anything at all, make it the above three links. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Button sig) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.

At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Globulin/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If you want to write and don't know where to begin, consider contributing to Uncyclopedia's current colonization of the week, a group writing project to improve a single popular article. Anyone is welcome to contribute, so come help out!

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome!  -- -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 21:17, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

edit Photo uploads

We appreciate the photographs you are contributing. I presume they are for use in Worthing or in an upcoming article. If not, or if you are hoping for another Uncyclopedian to tie them together, you might use or create a Category to document the city they pertain to. You might do this anyway as it will help other people locate them as a resource to use. Cheers! Spıke ¬ 21:44 17-Feb-13

I have indeed used a lot of the photos to bring out the worst in Worthing. However, I uploaded more photos of Teville Gate and Worthing Hospital's rusting steel penguins because they look so bad, Uncyclopaedians might like to use them to make other articles look worse too! Globulin (talk) 22:27, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

Then please create Category:Worthing and edit each image and include it in the category, and the encyclopedia article Worthing itself. This will work a lot better than using our horrible Search feature to find resources on Worthing. You could even include your user page in the category, if you want such Uncyclopedians to find you.

Separately, I have not yet viewed the results with images switched on, but with them switched off, it looks like the photos stack up and overwhelm the text. Please ensure that the page is laid out nicely in terms of the mix between pictures and text, thanks. Spıke ¬ 22:38 17-Feb-13

I have now created Category:Worthing and also a Category:South East England in which to put it and other south-eastern towns, cities and counties. The photos I've added to the Worthing article are not perfectly distributed because most of them refer to its later history. If you think they look too bad, please feel welcome to revise their positions. Globulin (talk) 23:14, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! And including the Worthing category in the South East England, and that one in England, will ensure that others can find them. I leave the page layout to you as the author; but please experiment with your browser window not set to full-screen to ensure that the page still looks all right for users with more primitive equipment. PS--I switched on your autopatrolled flag. This feature is newer than you, so it regarded you as a "new" user whose edits would be flagged on Special:RecentChanges for individual review. This hardly seems necessary (especially when there are 100 edits adding stuff to Categories). Cheers! Spıke ¬ 23:45 17-Feb-13
