edit Welcome!

Hello, Dorkadorkreece, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for people like you:

If you read anything at all, make it the above three links. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Button sig) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.

At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Dorkadorkreece/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If you want to write and don't know where to begin, browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome!  -- Lieutenant THEDUDEMAN Dude ... Totally UOTM KUN GotA F@H 21:58, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

The construction tag on your article expired, so I moved it into your namespace where you can work on it at your leisure. Don't give up on it! --Littleboyonly TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK Oldmanonly 18:00, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, thanks alot! I'll be sure to keep working on it.--Dorkadorkreece 22:39, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

edit [[Talk:HowTo:Become An Hero]]

-Tires screeching- I did the pee review, it's there. VROOOOM! *Popping out drive-by-style* Snowflake mini Mattsnow 14:47, May 14, 2011 (UTC)

No problem bro, thank you for stopping by! If the article was as good as it was without the Mitchell thing, I would have given it an 8 in humor and 7 in concept, maybe even nominate it. For the "an" thing, I thaught it was a bit annoying, but also that it was stretching the joke too much. I mean, the 20th time isn't funny! It's my humble opinion. BTW, I also submitted an article to pee review, Bohemian Grove, if you know the subject or you feel like it, go take a look. :) Later bro. Snowflake mini Mattsnow 19:15, May 15, 2011 (UTC)
And I just want to remind you, my friend, that you should not get discouraged since for me giving a 7 in a department means it's very good: an 8 or 9 (on average) would mean Oh my God I've got to nominate this for the front page!!! A 10 is not likely to happen. I had an article that was featured (Heaven's Gate), another one that underwent a good pee-review, a little like yours, and it was trashed on VFH. It's unpredictable. But for the Mitchell thing, you really have to keep this illeterate shit that girl posted. If you could pretend in a subtle way that it was an adult, while not insisting too much on it, people that know will know, while people that don't know still won't know, you know? Good luck with it and tell me when you are through. I might give you still some other ideas. And Bohemian Grove is on VFH now. XD Shameless self publicity. edit You can't hide from me!

Dunno if you deleted your message because you figured it out already, but just in case: you oughta have a Move button up at the top, right next to History. It does what it says it does. If you don't want to leave a redirect behind, there should also be a checkbox you can press to suppress the redirect. Forgot if that's an admin-only feature or not. I don't think it is. Yeah. You should be able to do that too. --Littleboyonly TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK Oldmanonly 00:25, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

Pretty simple, but mostly intuitive. I had trouble figuring it out for the first time. Create an article at User:Dorkadorkreece/Your Name Of Article Here, Bro, with the name of your article, bro in the place of "Your Name of Article Here, Bro". --Littleboyonly TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK Oldmanonly 21:42, June 22, 2011 (UTC)

edit UnNews:Users realize Facebook is as useless as a chair‎‎

This great UnNews does exactly what an UnNews should do: take a current event and tug it in many possible directions. I just don't like the headline: It states a conclusion rather than tell you what happened, breaking the superficial resemblance to a real news source. How about: UnNews:Users decide Facebook is as useless as a chair‎‎ Spıke ¬ 13:01 18-Feb-13

Thanks! Or how about: UnNews:Many realize Facebook is as useless as a chair ?

--Dorkadorkreece (talk) 13:11, February 18, 2013

How should I change the title anyway? Do I need to delete the article and replace it with a new article with a better title and copy and paste all the text into the new one?

--Dorkadorkreece (talk) 13:27, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

I like mine better, as "users" is specific and "many" (although more dramatic) is vague and, again, detracts from the resemblance to a news story. Changing a headline is achieved through the Move button. If you will let me do it, I can make it so that the old name will no longer work, so you won't have to "list the redirect on QVFD." Spıke ¬ 13:32 18-Feb-13 Done (as shown by the colors of the links above); I went with your word "realize". Spıke ¬ 13:35 18-Feb-13

Thanks alot! Do all UnNews articles go on the front page btw?

--Dorkadorkreece (talk) 13:38, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

I served as Editor-in-Chief of UnNews in 2011, but have recently been promoted to Admin and consequently do very little that's creative. Romartus (who's also an Admin, and who somehow does) now picks the top 5 to go on the UnNews Front Page. As for what goes on the Uncyclopedia main page, there are about twenty recent articles (some of which may be UnNews) nominated to be featured, and you are welcome to vote on them. Spıke ¬ 13:42 18-Feb-13

Thanks for all the advice.

--Dorkadorkreece (talk) 13:46, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

Also, I am giving you autopatrolled status. You won't notice a thing, but your edits won't show up on Special:RecentChanges with an exclamation point begging someone to check each one out. Happy editing! Spıke ¬ 13:55 18-Feb-13

Oh wow thanks! Is this like a permanent status for my whole profile? Or just for the article?

--Dorkadorkreece (talk) 13:58, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

It is permanent to your username; but again, it doesn't affect what you do but only tends to make Patrollers less suspicious of you. In other words, I'm pretty sure you aren't a vandal! Spıke ¬ 14:32 18-Feb-13

PS--There; you made the Front Page, on the first printing after your UnNews came out! Spıke ¬ 18:29 18-Feb-13

By chance I came across your article whilst adding a link to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Has a lot of potential. Trust you come back and check it again. --LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 08:01, October 2, 2013 (UTC)

edit UnNews:Uncyclopedia Blackout a Success

I don't think you should waste time redoing an UnNews from two years ago, and I don't think you should revert an Admin, even though she is incorrect to state that "you weren't there for the sopa blackout here." I considered reverting you myself, but it is your article. However, in addition to removing passives (hooray for that!), you also added a ton of errors in the first paragraph alone, and got rid of significant content (which was important to us when SOPA was a current issue), and the new ending about "suck penis" is always weak, no matter who is doing the sucking. Spıke ¬ 00:14 7-Dec-13

This is so late and probably irrelevant now, but if you think it should be reverted, then I'm fine with that. I don't know what errors I added but looking back it was probably pointless to edit it.--Dorkadorkreece (talk) 07:10, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

edit Wario

Welcome back! it's been a long time. You commented further on my archived talk page (where almost no one will ever look for it):

Again, this is extremely late but I want to tie up loose ends from last year. I can see your points about how it is NOT funny to write stupid crap about Wario, but it I would like to point out that it WAS on my profile so I was writing it more for personal reasons to see how it would look; not so much about making it appealing to everyone else. Please let me know if this is not okay to do. Also, like you said, I didn't get much more than one sentence into writing it so it was very confusing for it to be deleted five minutes later. That's all.--Dorkadorkreece (talk) 07:16, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

"Writing...for personal reasons" is fine in the Sandbox but not in the encyclopedia, where "making it appealing to everyone else" is the whole point. But, reviewing the conversation, what you put in the encyclopedia was a tiny bit of what you had in the Sandbox and I had no way to know that more was coming. A better way to do this would have been to start it in your userspace and move it to the encyclopedia in one fell swoop. I had the separate problem of not knowing a thing about Wario, but fortunately another Admin did. Spıke ¬ 11:15 5-Apr-14
