edit John Boehner on Pee Review

Thanks for your review of this article, and for your detailed comments. Lyrithya asked for the Pee Review, and when the topic of the article came up, I said the original author seemed to have a partisan axe to grind--on this and another article about Nazi lunar military bases. I rewrote the article, Lyrithya never cancelled her Pee Review request, and you reviewed my version.

For starters, different people have different senses of humor, and I think ours are very different. I view this article as being of interest to followers of US politics and think it should present Boehner based on current events (on which I mention him, from time to time, in UnNews). I've looked at Glenn Beck and could not do this article "in the words/style of John Boehner" because few people know what that style is.

"Orange skin" is an obvious topic for ridicule, as is crying fits. As for taking any one of these and making it a theme of the article, as your suggestion that I portray Boehner as a champion of orange people and animals, that seems too random to me for an audience of US politics wonks. My concept for this bio of a US legislator was to be reality-based, and to touch on episodes from his career sarcastically--not to take such large flights of fancy with him. Also, I don't want to use this article as a vehicle to make fun of leftism or rightism at large. That's done in many other places. If Boehner rises to the point that he becomes, like Beck or Limbaugh, a national spokesman for conservatism, then it will become urgent to change this article to ridicule that point of view. Right now, he is merely a suddenly influential legislator. I'm sorry that the Parliamentary lingo in the third photo caption got in the way of the humor for you. The reader need not understand the lingo to know that Boehner is just doing his job and can't get through it without bawling.

I'll continue studying your comments and incorporate those that I can. Thanks again for your work. Spıke Ѧ 03:05 16-Nov-10

Understood. And I'm sorry if I implied to tell you to overhaul this article a television transcript like the Glenn Beck show, that's not what I tried to do. I mentioned the article because I thought there were some smaller aspects of the Beck article you could incorportate into your article --Dare Devil 16:16, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
