edit Princess Diana

Hi Calindreams, when editing the article please do not destroy the interwiki links. Thank you. NaturalBornKieler (talk) Germany Flag 1 12:42, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

The interwiki links are the links that link to foreign language versions of the same article. They are usually placed at the bottom of the text and start with the code for the foreign wiki, for example [[de:Prinzessin Diana]] would be the link to the German "Princess Diana" article, if it exists. It seems you removed this one accidentally when you edited the article. NaturalBornKieler (talk) Germany Flag 1 13:52, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
The interwiki links will always appear when you create them, but they will lead to nowhere when the article with the stated name does not exist. Interwiki links are created manually in most cases, but there are also some bots who create those links (for example when I create a link from my German article to a corresponding article in English, a bot might be able to create the return link automatically, or even to add links to other languages when the relation is clear. In any case, the links are part of the source text of the article. There might be even several fun- or not-so-serious links to more-or-less-corresponding articles in other languages. I wish I could understand more languages, it seems I miss so much fun in Polish or Chinese ... Cheers! NaturalBornKieler (talk) Germany Flag 1 14:39, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
The interwiki links are shown on the left border of the page under the header "In other languages". For the Princess Di article you should see a link to the German (Deutsch) and to the Spanish (Español) article. I, for one, can see them. NaturalBornKieler (talk) Germany Flag 1 14:50, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

I can give you a quick outline of the German article but I think it will not agree very well with the ideas of the English version. In the German article, Princess Diana is an award-winning Golden Retriever that was (mis-)used for breeding with an old Wrinkle-Eared Terrier which resulted in two whelps, after which the breeding attempt was aborted. She started straying and jobbing as a model for dog hairdressers, advertising for dog food and even landed a job as a mine detection dog. Later she was abducted by a dog catcher who crashed his car, leaving both dead. The melodramatic story hit the yellow press and the public mourned. For her particular fondness of offal she was named Queen of Hearts. - Yes, that's about it ... NaturalBornKieler (talk) Germany Flag 1

edit You have been PEEd upon

Review, although I've just seen the "extended" version that currently makes up your user page.

Read the PEE review first, and then read these final little notes on the "extensions".

So onto the extended aspects:

  • Alternative Death Theories - It's a list. A long list. Lists are rarely funny. This is a long list of not funny. Not funny in a long list. Get the picture?
  • Legacy. - taken from HTBFANJS, Extremely large numbers. (like 2193732483249 or 9999999999999) should be generally avoided. Sometimes a smaller, but round number can be funnier.
  • Movies and Princess of Whales - Neither of these are funny. Throwing in pop-culture references rarely adds humour. The control of whales might work if she was a super-heroine... Like Wonder-woman... Whose name was Diana... And she was a Greek Amazonian Goddess.
  • Last known words - @#$%^&* Rule in HTBFANJS
  • YKWTree - This is one of the ugliest templates in the history of templates and should have been deleted 429 days ago.

Have fun with it Pup t 14:56, 18/07/2009

The 'extended' bits are actually delteted parts from the original page, but I'm glad we agreed. Calindreams 14:44, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
