Houston wii have a problem .

I get there some times i try to edit some articals example ( top 100 worst pokémon cashins ) after 2 times with text still in the edit box the 3rd time i clicked on the input box all the text disappears . i dont know if thats just my wii console or what . any help would be aprecated . Richardson j 12:27, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, I'm not really sure why it would be doing that. Does it happen on more than one page? —Braydie 13:15, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes . As its not happing all the time i might edit the text fine but at other times on the same page evan later on the text input box all text dissapears . it might be that im using my wii games console but i not sure thats the full answer . Richardson j 23:40, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, that actually might be the reason.. for some reason I don't know of. —Braydie 23:43, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Cardinals and Tigers

Just wondering why you removed my Cardinals and Tigers article as well as Mr. Beluncle, how does the Darwin rule apply to them, they were also not stagnant. both were still receiving votes up to yesterday. --Uncle J 14:50, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

In order to keep VFH efficient, we need to keep the amount of articles to be voted on to 20. With 26 articles on VFH, 6 had to go and in this process those two articles went. Yes, they were doing well, but they wasn't doing as well as the others on the page - they also were nommed at around the same time. That's just the way it goes. —Braydie 15:12, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Is problem

Someone moved Russian Reversal to Яussian_Яeversal, creating a hundred double redirects for no comedic gain. Can you delete the redirect russian reversal move this unfucked version to Russian Reversal and give Aido2002 a heads up about the general badness of creating double redirects? I'd just copy and paste the article, but then the history would be lost, and I do so love seeing my name in history lists.

Also, I've got a jar of pickles and can't get the lid off. Can you help?--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 23:22, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Recomended for deletion

One article that i find inappropriate at least an image The article in question is " opera ( web browser ) " and the image will have a caption of " here is opera playing with a child " which is an image i conseder indecent . because i'm still not use to editing wiki's i'm asking if you can delete that image . many thanks . Richardson j 11:40, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

I removed the image, but didn't delete it. This is mostly because we can't restore deleted images (yet) and if someone wanted it back then they could easily revert me (if they had a good reason to). Thanks. —Braydie 15:31, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Richardson j 22:05, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

I need help

Dear Braydie, I am new to this sight and my article keeps getting instantly deleted for vanity. My username is Tim Duckling, but I am not this man. He is simply the person I am studying. I discovered that to truly understand someone you must become them. So I refer to myself as Tim Duckling. Yet I want there to be a page about the real Tim. It is very frustrating. Please help. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Timduckling (talk • contribs)

Well, because I haven't heard of him.. and wikipedia hasn't, the subject falls under the Non notable person category. So therefore will carry on being deleted. —Braydie 15:33, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

A Question

Hi Braydie,
I have an article I did a lot of work on and would like it Pee Reviewed again. But my son says I don't have to resubmit it. I read on HELP that resubmission was okay, but I didn't see how he submitted it in the first place. I hope it's not too STOOPID, but could you tell me exactly how to resubmit? Do I just call it up and press the Review! button or what? Thanks, in advance, for your time and patience.--Schizo Master 15:21, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

You don't have to resubmit it but of course it is totally fine if you do. To start a pee review what you have to do is go to the pee review page, head to the bottom and create a new entry. The entry should be the name of the article (but in some cases, it doesn't have to be). I hope this helps (if it doesn't then just ask again) Thanks. —Braydie 15:35, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
How, exactly, do you resubmit the article? When I try to put in the name of the article at the bottom of the main page, it complains that the article already exists. The article has already been Pee Reviewed once. I want it Pee Reviewed again and I don't know how to do it. Do I call it up from the list of Pee Reviewed articles somehow? Sorry for the trouble.--Schizo Master 16:05, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Ahh! I see, one sec I'll just take care of that. What's the article name? (I can delete the request) —Braydie 16:11, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
I don't know what you mean, but the name of the article is: I Think I'll Call It "Peach". Does this mean that you're submitting it for me? I still don't know how to resubmit it myself and would like to.--Schizo Master 16:19, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Nah, I'm not submitting it for you. The reason that you can't remake another one is for the reason you said, that there is already a review with that name. So I needed to know the article name so that I could delete the last request, so that you're free to make another. —Braydie 16:21, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Ok, you're free to add it now (I hope). —Braydie 16:22, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for your patience. I'm a little old to be learning all this computer stuff. Next time, I'll try to get it right the first time. But you have to start somewhere. Maybe someday I'll learn how to Pee Review others as well. Thanks again. Your help was invaluable.--Schizo Master 17:35, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Great, no worries. That's what I'm here for anyway. Good luck on the review! —Braydie 17:36, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Followup

Hey Braydie.
By the way, what happens to the articles after they've been Pee Reviewed? Do they just get deleted or are they stored somewhere? Is there a minimum score necessary to save the article? I figured I'd ask while I was here. Just curious.--Schizo Master 17:40, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

An article on Pee Review isn't like it being on VFD, it's just basically "Where are you now, and what you need to do to make it better?" So you don't need to worry about it getting deleted, (oh, and that's another thing, if something of yours does get deleted; you could probably ask here and I will restore it for you to work on (depending on why it was deleted of course)). Once a month has passed on it being in Pee Review, I move it to the talk page of the article so that it's an easy reference (the actual review page gets deleted). When I deleted the old review page earlier, I moved the contents to Talk:I Think I'll Call It "Peach" so that you can see how you have progressed. —Braydie 17:50, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Hudson Middle School

This is also an article on Wikipedia. Why did it get huffed? --The Harlequin 18:47, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Basically, because it's a school. Most people aren't going to get the jokes because they are probably for people that go to the school. Also, we get a lot of problems with people coming along and putting their name in the article, which is also vanity. —Braydie 18:52, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Missing

Hi i just looked at my watchlist and i found some items missing and when i looked up one of the article's missing from the list it appears at the top the unwatch option which means it should be on the list . do you know anything about it . Richardson j 22:31, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Explain exactly what is happening. —Braydie 01:44, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

my watchlist items that haven't been removed from my watchlist gone and when i load up one of the articals that gone missing from the list ended up having a tab up top saying unwatch like it's in the watchlist i'm confused . hopefully you can help me Richardson j 02:00, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, the watchlist only shows the articles that have been edited in the time you set.. I think that's what you mean. That's normal, things won't be shown when you go to your watchlist unless they have been edited. —Braydie 02:04, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

The Little Icon

I thought my article had been reviewed because "Cap'n Ben" was listed as the last editor. So I checked and it had not been reviewed, but now the funny little icon in front is gone and it looks like it's been reviewed. Is this anything to worry about? Or will it still be reviewed? I would have asked before looking, but I hesitated to bother you with this, figuring just about anything could be fixed. Does something need to be reset or something? Hopefully this isn't too much trouble.--Schizo Master 01:39, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, it should be still reviewed. It's still appearing on the front page, and it's still bolded for me. I think once you click on one of those links they unbold so that you know which ones you have been to. The little folder thing goes also, they are just there to show the user which ones are new since their last visit. Also, don't worry about asking, it's fine :) —Braydie 01:47, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks so much!--Schizo Master 02:07, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Reviewing

Is ther really nothing complicated to giving a pee review? Just click "edit" and fill in the appropriate heading with your scores and comments. I'd like to get cracking helping out, but I'm not sure how, and I don't want to screw up anyone's Pee Review. It just seemed like there were a lot of articles to be Reviewed and I thought I could help. This is computer stuff, so of course I'm afraid to make a mistake. By the way, should I add a comment on my article's Pee Review page that the article is supposed to be silly? Because people don't seem to "get it" and I'm afraid it would show up as me Reviewing my own article. Thanks for letting me hit you with all of this.--Schizo Master 14:22, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, that would be a good idea to just leave a little comment above the table to say what it's about. Also, yeah, it's just as easy as you said. Just remember to preview the edit before you save, so if you do forget to do something then it can be changed without being saved. If there are any problems with this, just reply here. —Braydie 14:33, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Had to say

I know this sounds REALLY dumb, but I just discovered that if you scroll down on the village dump page, there's a whole mess of topics! I thought OFF-TOPIC was the village dump, all because I never scrolled down! So it's not all about Benson after all! What a relief, and what a shit-load of information! Things just became a lot more interesting. I must admit, I was getting a little tired of the in-fighting of "off-topic". Uncyclopedia becomes yet more interesting. I just had to tell someone.--Schizo Master 14:59, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, there's 3(or 4) different sections. Village dump for normal posts.. BHOP for benson based things.. and Ministry of Love for admin type topics. Pee review has been added as a 4th, but that's only because sometimes people ask for article help at the village dump. One thing though, don't bump really old forum topics, no one likes it when people do that. —Braydie 15:08, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry

As the above - Thanks!

--Don alun 15:25, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

That's ok, you wasn't to know. —Braydie 15:26, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Info

What is IRC? And are there guidelines for content in articles like Nerd42 is talking about on the Village Dump? If there were "do's and don't's" I'd be willing to comply. Would this preclude swearing? I personally know about several under-18's who swear like a sailor. Is sheep-fucking going too far? I thought it was a graphic funny thing, I never meant it as a sign of poor taste. Thanks for fielding my questions. BTW, is it okay to ask these kinds of questions on the actual Village Dump site or would I be laughed off the page?--Schizo Master 22:03, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, depends where you post it really. So I guess it's better to ask here. Ok. IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, some of us are on it all the time, so like msn.. but better. So it's basically like a chatroom. Anything goes with content really, except for shock content.. It's just that some people like to keep the content down for all ages. As it says in HTBFANJS swearing should only be used if it adds humour to the content.. a great example of this is Fire hydrant. Sheep fucking would be accepted if it comes in a humorously - as long as that is there it doesn't matter. —Braydie 05:49, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Tara Reid

You sir, are absolutely right! It needs more jokes. That's why I submitted it to Pee Review...and forgot to put the appropriate template on the page itself. That's a good joke right there, right?

Maybe not.

Ok - more jokes coming. Thanks for checking it out.

Help mo bray dey one you my only hop

I would like to know how to add images and templates from the unused lists . Richardson j 01:04, 8 March 2007 (UTC) and by the way thanks for the help in the past .

Don't mention it. Basically, you add images like any other.. Then after the image name you can add other things as well.. The best way to add images efficiently is to preview the changes, and change it to get it exactly right. With the templates, make sure that you don't spam them, as someone will revert your edits. But, they are done like so.. Templatenamehere. Hope this helps. —Braydie 05:54, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Richardson j 12:10, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
You create links by doing this.. word. Which will show as word. Also, if you do Name here it will come up as Name here. Make sure you preview changes again though, as if a page doesn't exist it comes up red - which is bad! Again, need more explanation, then just say. —Braydie 17:02, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Two Questions

A) Does IP stand for Internet Poll? I've seen it referred to at the Village Dump with regards to voting practices and regulations. B) The only person who seemed to "get" my article was One-eyed Jack. And he Pee Reviewed it with some very helpful comments. Is it okay to ask him again? It never occurred to me to give him any feedback. Can you solicit reviewers? Should you?--Schizo Master 16:48, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

IP stands for Internet Protocol, which basically is what your username is when you don't register (it's the "address" of your computer when you connect to the internet). Of course, you can ask him again; but that doesn't mean he has to do it. I'm sure he will though, he's a good guy. —Braydie 16:55, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

What happens now?

My article got reviewed by some JesusV2. Several people made attempts. None of them "got it" and the subsequent review was somewhat dismal. So what happens now? Can the article be saved? Should I print it out if I want it saved? Will it be deleted now? I just thought that if OEJ could review it, since he seemed to understand it before, he might give me more points, but it didn't seem right to ask him to review it again, so I didn't. He seemed to think the article had potential. But all the ones (4 or 5) who read it said it was too "out there". The article was supposed to be somewhat random. I thought it was part of the content. Ah, well. But I do want to know what I can do, if anything, to save my article on this site, or if there's at least a way to print it. Thanks, Braydie. You're always a big help.--Schizo Master 16:53, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry, the article won't be deleted if it gets a bad review on pee review. I recommend you explain to OEJ that no one else got it, and that you would like suggestions on how to make it appeal to a wider audience. Seriously, I don't think he would mind. Oh, and if it does happen to be deleted, just ask me to restore it to your userspace so that you can work on it. —Braydie 16:57, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Again

Hey Braydie! How do you do the cross-out thing? You know, the hyphen-like things across text? And where do articles go after the Pee Review process is done? Is there a home for them, or do you print them out(how?) and let them go on to deletion? Thanks, in advance, for the help.--Schizo Master 00:04, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

To do the strikeout just write it in the edit box like this <s>Word</s> and that will come out as Word. Once article haven't been edited for 1 month on pee review, I move the reviews to the talk page of the article and delete the entry. That's what I did with yours, before I deleted it for more room. —Braydie 00:07, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

I apologize Braydie, didn't mean to be causing you more work than was necessary. Shall perform ye olde cease and desist on that one. Good, yeah, it's good that more and more people are getting on the welcome wagon - helping new users get those links is very helpful. LORD FLUFFY

Hey, Braydie. Haven't talked to you in a while. How are you? I have a request. I am making a template, and want the text to go side to side and fit closer to the image. Like the other ones I've made. Would you mind taking a look and telling me how to fix it, or even doing it yourself? Thanks. --Lord Fluffy who rains fire from the heavens 16:45, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm fine thanks, how about you? I'll just have a look then I'll try and fix it. Then I'll tell you what I did. /me looks —Braydie 16:46, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Alright, I just removed 2 lines of code. Again, you can see what I did by looking here. —Braydie 17:00, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much. --Lord Fluffy who rains fire from the heavens 17:10, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

This one's giving me trouble, too. I want the border to be closer to the text, and putting the border attribute in the table tag adds the border between the cells, which is also bad. I've fiddled with it for a while, now. Any input? --70.101.95.236 20:40, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry. Forgot to sign in. --Lord Fluffy who rains fire from the heavens 20:41, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I fiddled with it as well, but I couldn't work out what it was doing. So I took a tried and tested template structure and just put your stuff in there. Hope you like how it is now (If you don't just say). —Braydie 20:56, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. That's great. Would you mind taking a glance at my new article? I'm not sure whether or not it's good enough to go on the mainspace. --Lord Fluffy who rains fire from the heavens 04:00, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Hm. I can't really understand it. Another AAAAAAAAA! clone? —Braydie 12:16, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

No sir. My idea completely. This was much more difficult to make than AAAAAAAAA!. You would be amazed how much effort is required to write aesthetically pleasing nonsense. And the images took lots of thought. I put several days into it. Unrelated question: what time zone are you in? It seems like you're always on at strange times. I'm on Eastern Standard. You on Greenwich Mean? In any case, do you think that it'll get huffed if I put it on the mainspace? --Lord Fluffy who rains fire from the heavens 15:06, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

I doubt it would get huffed. I must say, it is aesthetically pleasing. Yeah, I'm on GMT, I live in the UK. —Braydie 15:07, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Cool. Thank you. I have now moved it to the mainspace. If it does get huffed, how do I find out who did it and where he/she/it lives? --Lord Fluffy who rains fire from the heavens 18:22, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Basically, by looking at this. Just type the exact title name of the article in the "title" bit. —Braydie 18:25, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Another question

Hey Braydie! I see you're "fine thanks," so I won't ask. I'm glad you're well. My question of the day is the following: Lord Fluffy posted my article (with my permission) before I was a user on this site in his user space and submitted it for Pee Review. Now that I'm a user here, I'd like it back, if only to make it better. The article is here. Actually, I just called it "Schizophrenia and You". He doesn't know how to give it back (or, he insists, he won't tell me - so he doesn't appear not to know). Could you help me out by giving it back to me and taking it off Pee Review for now until I can work on it some more? Thanks for your wise and timely help.--Schizo Master 16:57, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Don't listen to a word he says. I just didn't feel like telling him. He is Crazy, after all. --Lord Fluffy who rains fire from the heavens 16:59, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

You could get it back by moving it. Just click move at the top of the page. —Braydie 17:02, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
One more thing. Could you please take the old article off of Pee Review so it doesn't get edited while I'm still working on it? In fact, since I've moved it to "Schizophrenia and You", you can simply delete the old file currently under Pee Review: "Lord Fluffy/ etc." as above. Thanks again, Braydie.--Schizo Master 17:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Bearcat Cavalry

Hi Braydie,

On February 12 I placed an ICU on an article called "Bearcat cavalry." A week later, you removed it. I'm just wondering what your logic was in doing that. Is there some joke in the article I'm missing? The way it reads right now, it stinks of a vanity page devoted to some kid's Warcraft III club. If there is some joke I'm missing, I'd like to know about it because as it stands, I don't see why it shouldn't be placed on the QVFD meatwagon. YouFang 21:09, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Ah, it's because the article is very old. ICU shouldn't be added if it's over than a week old. It should go through VFD. —Braydie 21:19, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi

I know how difficult it can be to gather the courage to voice your opinions on another user's talk page. So allow me to reciprocate.

Revert War

He did not have the right to remove my "Benson Sucks" image.--Metropolis 02:09, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Right, so you talk to him about it. You're not becoming very favourable with anyone since you have been unblocked either. —Braydie 02:11, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
He's not gonna listen. He never does.--Metropolis 02:14, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Then he'd be in the wrong, that's if he doesn't listen. —Braydie 02:16, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Chainsaw

About the Chainsaw article: Who wrote it? Do you know? I'd just like to talk it over with him. Thanks! The Humbled Master 02:21, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
El Zoof did. You can always check that by looking at the history tab. —Braydie 02:21, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Caption the moment

I know how to add pictures like this Kitten asleep What i would like to know is how to add captions to the images many thanks Richardson j 12:15, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Alright, all you need to do is add |text here to the image. But, you need to make the image a thumb also. So, the code will look like . That will come out like....
Kitten asleep

Text here for a caption.

You can also make the image go to the different sides of the screen by adding left, right or centre. Again, that's done by adding |left or |right or |centre. —Braydie 12:41, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
