I gott a question and the thing said to ask you

Can I be nominated for NOTM twice? Cuz its late in the month and I'm currently down by votes. If it's still been less than a month since I joined when the next 1 starts, can I be nominated again?

N00bs can only be nommed by others, and must be nommed within 30 days of joining.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 22:35, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

The little Rorschach mask is pretty disconcerting. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 13:53, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
I have to admit that I was pretty impressed with what I think is one of the best characters in the history of cinema. I am, of course, talking about Nite Owl II.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 23:47, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
The comfortably middle class, nice, slightly overweight, retired superhero? You want to be him, don't you? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 23:51, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
I AM him. /me wears his sunglasses at nite.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 23:59, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
I like how they were like glasses, and that they had an elastic safety strap (although it would've been funnier if, when Silk Spectre II put them on, she'd gone "Oh. Everything is all blurry." and Nite Owl II said "Um. Yeah. They're prescription." Stuff like that writes itself). Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 00:08, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree. You should totally write a fanfic of Watchmen. Wait, isn't that what you said? Oh well, it's an uncomic waiting to happen.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 01:20, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes, because as a True Watchmen fan, I've avoided the comic entirely. It's too good. Or so I've heard. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 04:03, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Totally understand. I've avoided the original Star Trek for the same reason.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 12:09, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
I've avoided the original Startrek and all of it's derivatives, from the most recent series with the Quantum Leap guy all the way back to the Saturday morning cartoon. I love Startrek so much that I know virtually nothing about it. That's how much of a superfan I am. Set shields to warp factor three! Beam me up, Spocky! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 18:53, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

How well... you actually know Watchmen? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:13, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

I read the book once and I watched the movie once. That makes me an expert.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 02:44, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
I have the best idea ever, but lack the in-character-as-Watchmen skills to pull it off, which makes this someone's lucky day. Are you that someone? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:19, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
I could possibly advise, but again, I'm not Dr. Manhattan. I just liked them both... a lot.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 12:32, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh. Too bad. I thought, to mix moviephors, that you were the one to bring balance to the Force. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:02, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm not opposed to the idea. Should I go somewhere to bat around ideas like a piece of string?--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 17:11, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, now my big finish is wrecked, as I've sent the lions home (they were rentals), but an UnMovie review of Watchmen (the movie) by Watchmen (the comic) would, if I may be so humble, be the best idea in the world. Ever.
You could have the Comedian complaining about the hatchet job on him (as his second visit with Silk Specter was consensual in the comic, right?), Silk Specter II (in a nod to the actual reviews) wondering why the girl who plays her is so wooden, Rorschach being himself, Veidt whining about how the film makes him out to be the supervillain that he's not, Dr Manhattan's glowing penis lamenting its lack of screen time, and the Squid (whose pissed because he isn't in the movie at all, a slight for which he plans to destroy the Earth). Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:29, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Bah, I say run with it. It's terrific. I might add that the comic Veidt should be upset that the movie version makes the real him look less awesome. He should also ask, "Why the hell are they going to film a version of the death of Bubastis if they're not even going to bother to tell us anything about her? That'd be like throwing in a JFK assassination scene for an audience unfamiliar with American history without any explanation." In fact, I might just have him lamenting that fact during the entire review: get real pissed off that there's no reason for the audience to care about her at all, etc.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 17:48, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Busbastis? See? I don't know the characters well enough. Which one was Bubastis? Going by the context, I would guess that it's Veidt's cat. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 20:41, 16 March 2009 (UTC) Pah! I'll try. Hopefully Sophia will drop by soon. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 20:52, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes, she's the Snagglepus looking thing at the end of the movie.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 21:17, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
You should probably have a part where Bernie raves about how awesome Marooned is and how the movie was "gay" because it didn't reference it once.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 23:21, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, I'm writing it now and since (so far) it doesn't suck, I may enter it in Poo Lit. This means that I can't listen to you. I just can't! /me runs from page crying Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 23:39, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
In that case, I wish you well. As Jon Stewart said to Jim Cramer, "How did we get to this point?"--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 00:25, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey Bradaphraser, i'm getting told that an article i wrote is vanity..

I wasn't quite sure how it was vanity, seeing as its not actually about anyone or anything in particular. Just somethin we had been talkin about at school one day, and we finally decided to write up an article on it. If you would be able to get back to me about this i would be glad, 'cause it isnt intended as vanity.

Thanks :)

Preemptive Thanks

Peyton Manning

I'm sorry, but I can't allow you to take equal credit with me. Your last edit to the Manning article was almost a year ago--that was more the IPs' article then your own by the time I got to it. This, coupled with the fact that every word in the article is my own, with nothing except the phrase "Peyton Manning" remaining from the original. And I don't buy the whole "I got to it first" thing. With that sort of logic, I could build a time machine, write Fischer Price quality articles about every notable subject under the sun, and then ask to take credit when people invest their valuble time and effort into them trying to write a legitiment piece of humor. So, in summation, no, you may not share half-credit with me. Sorry. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 17:27, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

hey brad, would you care to comment for the unsignpost on the new fantasy football league? what is it? what sort of trash talking will you employ? SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 19:12, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

The Fantasy Football League is a chance for Uncyclopedians to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday Uncyclopedia work and actually have some fun for a change. While I usually am busy with the administrating task of sitting on my lazy ass and doing nothing, this gives users a chance to see me in a more relaxed state. I fully expect that this venture will be just as successful as my recent run for the Presidency, which I lost to Bradford Lyttle of the Pacifist party by a mere 110 votes. I fully expect to win 1, or possibly even 2 games in this upcoming season, assuming of course that a draft is eventually held.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 19:22, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Jason Witten

Nice pick. How the hell was he the fifth TE taken? I picked Gonzalez over him by the narrowest of margins, and yet Dallas Clark and (how the fuck) L.J. Smith are going before him? What's up with that? —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 17:48, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Meh, sometimes you get lucky. I'm also excited about Dwayne Bowe, who's going to be the Cardinal's old O-coordinator's Larry Fitzgerald in KC.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 17:55, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Mmhm, though I don't know about Cassel. I mean, he only threw 21 TDs playing on the Patriots, and though he's improved since then I don't think he's "the guy"--he certainly isn't worth $63 million, which is what the Chiefs are giving him. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 20:24, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
That's why I didn't pick Cassel. Bowe, on the other hand, had 1,000 yards receiving and 7 TDs playing for a run-dominated offense in KC last year. Bring in a pass-first coach and a much better QB (doubt Cassel all you want but he's WAY better than Tyler Thigpen), and I think this is going to be a breakout year for the top Chef.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 20:40, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm just not sure why no one talks about Bowe. He's so good. I guess when you're stuck on the Chiefs, that's what'll happen to you. Woody On Fire! Wood burningTalking Woody Stalking Woody 20:51, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
That, and the fact the Chiefs ran the ball so much last year. When they passed, it was to either Bowe or Gonzales.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 20:56, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I was thinking about Brandon Marshall, and then I looked at what's going on with him right now. New coach, new (worse) QB, different schemes, and the fact that Goodell may suspend him for 4 or more games.... I thought better of it. Woody On Fire! Wood burningTalking Woody Stalking Woody 21:06, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Above points taken--Bowe is really good. Like, really good. As for Cassel, it's debatable. I mean, Tyler Thigpen had a decent year playing for the Chiefs, put him on New England.... And I'm going nowhere near Brandon Marshal. Eddie Royal, on the other hand.... —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 21:46, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi. A pic of mine was stolen and put up on this site.

It is on It is the Brawl pic of Wolf's butt. >_> I shouldn't be the one to delete it. It should not have been put up in the first place.

edit: I found other articles where the image is on. they are "ass", "circle", "bra", "big", "black tights", and "werewolf". The user who uploaded these images is "jokemyass".

I could not figure out how to actually properly report a problem because the site makes it really confusing. Please have all of the images removed from the site. Thank you for your time. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ilikebacon62 (talk • contribs)

I'm going to review the cases to find where the uses were for satire or parody (i. e., where they are funny), and remove it where it is not. While I'm relatively uncertain that you hold the copyright on the image in question (unless, of course, you created the Wolf O'Donnell model), I will remove it when it is not satire or parody anyway, as we generally discourage outright theft of images without adding some comedic/parody value to the article in question. If this solution is unsatisfactory for you, you are welcome to contact another admin using the find admin button on Special:RecentChanges.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 11:19, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
I have removed it from every page but werewolf, where it does actually add something that would be difficult to do in another way. From every other page, it has been removed, per your request. If you would like to go one step further, Sannse is a bureaucrat who is also our contact with Wikia, and would be able to discuss in further detail the limits and extensions of copyright law as it applies to our images.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 11:32, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Well obviously Nintendo owns Brawl and they made the game. However, the image wouldn't even exist if I myself did not take the picture. The screenshot itself was made by me. Brawl allows you to take pictures of gameplay. I know I technically don't own the pic, however, like I said, I was still the one that took the picture in Brawl and am the only person on the planet that took the picture that looks exactly like that.

What you're thinking of is a derivative work. However, for copyright to apply to a derivative work, it "must be different enough from the original to be regarded as a 'new work' or must contain a substantial amount of new material", (see ). If it doesn't have those things, or you don't have permission from the original copyright holder to reproduce it, it is simply a copyright infringement in itself, and the original copyright applies to the work as well.
So, an unedited screenshot of anything in a copyrighted game is not different enough to count as a derivative work, and as such the rights to the screenshot are owned by the original copyright holder - in this case, Nintendo. Assuming you don't have a licence or even permission from Nintendo to publish your picture, you have exactly as much right to is as we do. Even if you "made" the screenshot. Only Nintendo could legally demand that the picture be removed. Sucks to be you - all that hard work you put in, too! Spang talk 21:39, 31 Aug 2009
