The Great Uncyclopedia/True Aspie War of 2006

Is there any way we can work Goatse into the Asperger Syndrome article somehow? I think it would be a fitting punishment for Anon. --Hrodulf 16:38, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

I think we should focus our energies on a "Anonymous user with slashes blanks the site" reskin for Holloween. I have a personal distaste for goatse, so unfortunately, I won't be supporting any goatse on the site. Sorry about that part. I DO strongly encourage you to work out a reskin of what the site would look like if Slashy took the site down. Lots of people like the idea, but no one's actually pulled it off, yet.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 13:56, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Maybe we can start one here: Dr. Anonymous Slashy, Ph. D.
That's ok, I just said Goatse because I was mad and it was the worst picture I could think of. --Hrodulf 14:05, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the meddling on my draft. It's so nice to know I'm not the only person who thinks that reality doesn't always need gratuitous absurdity to be funny. Feel free to do some more meddling while I continue preparing it for public consumption. --Kwakerjak 05:35, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Maybe you can help me?

Okay, now I'm only asking you this cause I respect you so much, and love youre articles. Now, all flatery aside, I'm writing an article, but I ran out of ideas, and sort of started into sexual "innuendo". I don't really think that the article is all the funny either, since writing in all questions is really hard. So, can you help me with this buddy? --Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 01:12, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

You should see if you can find "Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead." There is a "game" that the characters play in that play where they ask questions back and forth, and must always answer with a question. I think this will help you. Also, I added some, because eternal questions are just fun.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 01:45, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Accautlly, I paly that kind of game while improvising. It is really hard. Thanks for that additions. --Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 13:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Posers Page

Dude, please help me. Somebody deleted the Posers page without even discussing it with anyone at all. Like I just edited it yesterday and now its gone. I'm not sure who to turn to but I know ur an admin. Can you restore it or at least tell me what I can do to help get it back? Or could I just have the html to the page or something.

Please, Please for the love of god help me!! I want my Posers page back!!

When a page has been deleted, the first thing you should do is check whether it has been listed on VFD; this can be accomplished by clicking "What Links Here" in the sidebar. In this case, it was indeed listed on VFD, and deleted due to the fact that the article consisted almost entirely of a series of unfunny lists. Really, there wasn't a single thing on that page that was remotely creative.
When a page is salvageable, and a user asks politely, admins may often choose to move a page into that user's userspace, where that user may attempt to fix it up before moving it back to where it was. However, if a user instead decides to recreate a deleted page with insults to administrators, the page is generally re-deleted and locked, and the user is banned.
I've taken the liberty of re-deleting the page. Consider this a warning. --Algorithm 03:10, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Final Fantasy Football

Thanks and you're welcome. As for getting it featured, I'd put it up for Pee Review first. Also, if you have any more ideas, add them! I'd like to have an FA which I contributed to on my resume. I'll put it up for pee review right now.

Try to put in some more references to FF and football. The Blitz one was so obviously missed, since Sabin himself looks like a football player. Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 20:42, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

on possibly my first day, certainly my first week on uncyc irc, there was a brief but jolly invasion of wn wiki, me you codeine and lugia, i was he who replaced the articles with images of naked black men kissing, if you remember

at the time an article was written on the subject and was killed, because the wn people started talking about lawsuits. they were obviously talking shit, because no judge or jury would side with them, but for safety sake the article was vanished

anyway their wiki is long since gone, no one will host it, and it was only wikipedia sporks +heavy bias in the first place.

basically, since any threat's long gone, can the article be revived, assuming it still exists somewhere in some form, for the sake of the uncyc archives </pissedramble> - jack mort | cunt | talkKodamaIcon - 23:11, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

As completely ridiculous as it feels to try to bestow an "honour" on someone that's been on Uncyc longer than me, I wanted to express my appreciation of what you bring to the site. I admire that you are true to yourself, more so than probably anyone else around here. Your request

Sadly, my dear Brad, I do not wish to judge for the PLS. While it does flatter me that you would approach me with such a request, I am not up to the challenge. I very rarely can read articles all the way through, and that is just the good ones. I do however plan to enter the PLS (as long as I'm around when its on), because while my writing skills are not very good, at least the PLS gives me a chance to try. So yes, thank you for offering but I humbly decline. --Sir Zombiebaron 19:23, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

I too wish to decline your gracious invitation. I was a judge for the last one and, fun as it was (cough), I'm looking to enter this one, because I feel my writing sort of needs a spark. That being said, if you run out of qualified candidates and absolutely need to scrape the bottom, I'd be willing to help. I think I shall have to humbly decline your offer as a judge... for now. I really would like to enter - I've got some article ideas lined up already and I have to uphold my 100% success with entered articles. However, if nobody accepts (as seems to be the trend here, on evidence of the above comments) I will stand in for you. You can thank Hindley. I kinda stole his picture, template, and even the part where he was whoring his articles.  ;)--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 12:39, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Woops put it in the wrong place

Bradabradabrada! Please do not be alarmed, for it is only a picture of a bomber... yes, let's go with that. Also hope you are doing well with that flower pattern, you know the North Korean one :P.

Look at The New Ideal - what do you think? It needs wikifying and content as well, but that's the first draft. Reply ASAP. --The Rt. Hon. BarryC Icons-flag-gb MUN (Symposium!) Sigh. Double Sigh. 00:20, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Need to photoshop the top right-left corner (where it says BBC), but, if redesigned to handle our templates and such, it could be TERRIFIC! Definitely going down a good road there...--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 05:09, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
BTW, you will need to do some fiddiling with the CSS as well, see the section on skins in Mediawiki:Uncyclopedia.js --The Rt. Hon. BarryC Icons-flag-gb MUN (Symposium!) Sigh. Double Sigh. 14:34, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
k, if necessary I'll ask the Czar of UnNews for help (you know the one I mean).--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 14:43, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I am busy at the moment, but the page is ready for content. If you could compile a list of news articles for each of the countries and sections (towards the bottom), the features parts and what you would like in the main news section, I will update that asap. Then all that is left to do is to put in place the css (this currently resides here)- and a few tweaks. --The Rt. Hon. BarryC Icons-flag-gb MUN (Symposium!) Sigh. Double Sigh. 23:13, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
At the top, right-hand corner of the UnNews page, there are links to categories, and you just have to link the ones prefaced by "UnNews" in the reskin (if there are too many, just choose the three most-recent). It helps absolve us of responsibility if we choose bad ones.  ;)--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 23:22, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Intelligent design

Can I ask why you removed intelligent design from the featured article nomination page when it had all for votes on it? Has it been nominated already (or in the last 4.2 days)? Weri long wang 22:51, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

It was removed because of the Darwin rule, in that it was the weakest article in relation to the article directly above and below. It was at least two votes shy of the two article bracketing it, and was thus removed. My procedure for removing articles from VFH is listed in depth at Uncyclopedia:VFH/Discussion. You are free to re-nom it if you think it could survive better now.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 00:27, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

About Selfworm's userpage

You might be wondering why I was reverting his userpage. The reason is that he took my userboxes without my permission. He didn't even bother to change the userboxes. First of all, my userbox contains a League of Benson template. Selfworm is not a member of the League of Benson. Second, some of those userboxes he took were original creations. He did not even bother to ask if he could use them. He didn't even make changes to the userboxes he stole. I tried to reason with him not to take my userboxes on his talk page, but it appeared that he did not wish to reason with me. If he wishes to have userboxes, he must at least use those on the page I showed him and create his own userboxes. --General Insineratehymn 00:24, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Here's what I suggest. You can't keep him from using your templates without your permission, via our license, which he cited. You CAN however require that he cite you as the creator of the templates, though, as they link to the pages you created, it will be obvious to someone who's looking to find out where it came from. Maybe request that he link you as the creator of his templates, maybe? You'll forgive me, but given the big deal that Ghelae made over your sig (which indeed needed some sort of citation, though I thought he took that too far), this whole situation seems silly to me. Sorry, as I'm sure you worked hard on them, and he does seem to be violating rule 2 somewhat in his "I can do whatever I want" response on the talk page. In the end, the fact that if we let people mess with other people's userpages, all Hell would break loose overrides his dickishness, at least in my book. You may have better luck with another admin to plead your case, to, however.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 00:35, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Alright, I'll give him a compromise on his talk page. Also, here is an obligatory Christmas card.

Darwin Rule

Myanmar just got a vote yesterday... wasnt the rule that it had to get votes over time and couldnt sit there without getting votes? ~Sir Rangeley Icons-flag-us GUN WotM UotM EGA +S (talk) 00:37, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

You're referring to the stagnation rule, which has seemed to go by the wayside in the new, speedier VFH. At the time of removal, it was 1.5 votes from the nearby articles, which is why I removed it. There were two articles that were 1.5 votes from the nearby articles, so I had to make a choice, and I chose to remove the older one. This is what I've done in the past, and I may reconsider that in the future, as you're the second person to take issue with this particular tiebreaker. The full explaination of how I manage VFH is at Uncyclopedia:VFH/Discussion. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about the process I use to remove articles from VFH. As always, you can renom any article you think should/would have made feature if left on the page.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 00:45, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
I guess it will just need to start over. ~Sir Rangeley Icons-flag-us GUN WotM UotM EGA +S (talk) 00:48, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
In your nemon, be sure to note that it was nearly featured when QFH'd, and that you are sure it would have been if it stayed on the page just a little longer.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 00:51, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
