Thank you for the positive feedback

Thank you very much, it's nice to be commended on my first writings! And to answer your question, no, the uppercase S to lowercase s was not deliberate - I've corrected it though. And thank you for creating a talk page for me too - I didn't know where to start before :)

Ummm....what on earth was that "Anton takes Portugal" thing about. April fools jokes only happen on 1st April not in September!! Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign Scotland Flag 1 Compassrose VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 20:24, September 7, 2013 (UTC)

There is a small possibility that it is actually the 1st of April in some place in the Universe. Concerning the edit, I took the Portugal back, as I thought the action of taking it in the first place was just violent. But I gave it back, didn't I? Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 20:36, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Yes Anton, but the question is, "When are you going to give the Ukraine back?" Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign Scotland Flag 1 Compassrose VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 06:00, September 8, 2013 (UTC)
Ukraine is already back. I mean I am carrying it in my backpack and I always forget to take it out. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 08:48, September 8, 2013 (UTC)

HowTo:Break and Enter

Probably requires a little more proofing - I picked up a couple of issues with a quick read-through. I've removed the first header as it has a better format that way IMO. Overall a decent job though.                               Puppy's talk page10:45 08 Sep 2013

Here is an English style lesson regarding, "Never ever enter [through] owner's bedroom: you are here to be creative, not to cause some mental disorder."
  • There is a parallelism problem, as all three items want "through" and it is only included in the first.
  • I can't tell whether "some" mental disorder means "a little" mental disorder or "an unspecified" mental disorder. This without getting into how entering someone's home through their bedroom (window) would cause mental disorder (neurosis? psychosis?). It is more like "strife" or "drama." I'd write: "through the owner's bedroom: You are here to fine-tune your skill, not to perturb anyone." (Which is also zany, as breaking into his house will surely perturb him anyway.) Spıke ¬ 22:54 8-Sep-13
Don't like the use of the word “perturb” personally. I'd suggest “…skill, not to cause undue distress.” But that's just a personal preference.                               Puppy's talk page11:38 08 Sep 2013
You understand that Anton himself is fast asleep through all this.... Spıke ¬ 00:01 9-Sep-13

Rollback gadgets

I deleted your Forum because, even with its minimum of provocation, such pages have led to piss-fights as to which site is better. The bottom line is that we make different default decisions from other websites. That some other website makes a different decision is not a good argument as to what we should do. If something is poorly documented here and is better documented elsewhere, please steal and adapt the documentation. If you insist, I'll reinstate your Forum.

We do indeed have JavaScript widgets for the Patrol and Rollback operations that do what you want, but you must turn on JavaScript and enable the widget. The Rollback one is documented in Section 4 of UN:HAX. The Patrol one is mentioned in Section 7.2 of User talk:Furry. Spıke ¬ 17:27 9-Sep-13

PS--Undid my deletion. That doesn't mean you can't give these things a really descriptive name. You now have a customer there. Spıke ¬ 19:03 9-Sep-13

Thanks but I did not mean to say that we ought to change bevause they did, I wanted to combine all the main technical issues I've seen on this site (and sometimes I noticed them through comparison) in one forum. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 19:51, September 9, 2013 (UTC)

Duh

I just voted for Brittany, which I thought I had voted for already. Apologies about the delay. On a different but similar matter, maybe you can weigh in on Oz, which has been upon VFH for a long time and you haven't voted on. Please give it a read, I've been polishing and adding to it at a furious rate, like an animal caught in a bear trap and knowing the bear is coming back soon. Aleister 19:21 11-9-'13

p.s. As for the end of the Beatles, they ended when Magical Mystery Tour was released. Horrible album and movie.
Fortunately, I haven't seen the movie! But yeah, the songs are not that good. However, even in their best albums something not very good occurs. For example, Revolution 9. And I voted for Oz, very nice work and thanks for Brittany! The nomination was almost closed! Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 17:57, September 12, 2013 (UTC)

User talk:Torurules

With apologies, I reacted to an edit conflict with you here by overriding your edit. I know something about the Boston Bruins and realized that what he was doing was primarily replacing truth with falsehood. Therefore, I was able to offer more specific advice. Spıke ¬ 18:19 13-Sep-13

Oh, that's fine. I am very ignorant about what concerns all the sport teams and the World Cups. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 18:21, September 13, 2013 (UTC)

Lord Stanley's Cup (the North American hockey prize) is hardly a World Cup. Unlike the World Series. Spıke ¬ 18:30 13-Sep-13

See? I did not even notice it was not a World Cup. And Torurules keeps on editing the article and is maybe even rewriting it. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 18:40, September 13, 2013 (UTC)

WUT THE HATE??

Some user called False Mike messed up my article by translating my first ever article into French, and tried to move other pages and translate them into French as well. That Camouflage rubber duck article was my precious page, and I was waiting for myself to improve the article. Newman66 Visit my table here! Contributions My works 13:49, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

He is a recurrence of the I FUCKING LOVE DICKS vandal. He registered his account one week earlier so his account had matured and the Move button was visible, which is part of his attack. He moved thousands of pages earlier this year, requiring more expertise than I have, but Wikia has since changed the site to slow down large-scale attacks. I believe I restored your article. Please do not lose any sleep over the fact that your contributions here may be vandalized and may require repair, by you or others. Spıke ¬ 13:55 14-Sep-13

Yes, I am glad the problem is solved. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 15:07, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
The problem is never solved, as Uncyclopedia has what we might term a "lax immigration policy." Again, though, we have stepped up enforcement of misconduct. Also, there is the thing sociologists call the "broken-window phenomenon": Neighborhoods where the effects of past vandalism are evident inherently invite future vandalism. This motivates our attempts to keep Uncyclopedia tidy (including deleting listcruft from articles). Your "English spammer" I might better describe as an anti-English spammer! Spıke ¬ 15:23 14-Sep-13
I called him an "English-spammer" because he spams hate against the Brits. Newman66 Visit my table here! Contributions My works 15:40, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
I have not thought about past vandalism influencing a future one. That's very interesting. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 16:59, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

I noticed something...

You used a lot of unneccassary markup in User talk:Tamerial horror. This can be easily simulated with the {{User:DungeonSiegeAddict510/superainbow}} template. Usage will be demonstrated.

When I make a major cock-up and neglect to add a parameter in a template that allows you to change the date, you should probably tell me.                               Puppy's talk page12:07 22 Sep 2013

Change the date in the USP header? We have not had any problems of this kind. By the way, thanks for reverting the vandal on my userpage (it was not that unfunny, by the way) and do you know what is happening to Cursive? I think that it just stops working from time to time. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 12:12, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, yeah, thank you! I think we forgot about this. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 12:15, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Cursive? I'm assuming it's a font that you've used. Fonts have to be installed on your browser/computer to be able to be used. What a don't appears as on one browser is not always going to work on another browser. That's why I tend to use several different font families in my CSS.
If that's not the issue then I have no idea.                               Puppy's talk page12:30 22 Sep 2013
Oh, ok. Thank you! Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 12:35, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

New news

I would not rush this UnSignpost out the door. I would not give publicity to either of the Darthpedia twins, as their only recent presence has been to wrestle over their signatures and not to write funny stuff. In particular, the ban of Madclaw is under review behind the scenes, as I've mentioned. The report on hawks-versus-doves at VFD is good and might encourage participation.

Regarding the Wikia site visit, I now have email into the attendees asking whether they'd be willing that I report on this, based on an email Romartus sent out last month. Spıke ¬ 13:46 22-Sep-13

Just to clarify Spike that this isn't an UnSignpost but Anton's idea of a newspage that is constantly updated so we aren't in a hurry to get any newspapers out there. I can't wiat to hear a report from the Lion's den and feel free to submit it as an UnSignpost article yourself. Thanks. Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign Scotland Flag 1 Compassrose VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 13:56, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Denza has probably been the most well-known user-in-joke since Aimsplode on both Uncyclopedias and Madclaw was needed to back up the point even more. Finally, Denza tries to get as much publicity as he can and denying him that right can be able to light him up even more, while Madclaw won't be unblocked until this story is archived.
Yes, it will be very cool if we have some information about wikia. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 14:02, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

In my personal opinion, the lot of them aren't here to help us build but only to party, act out, and inject drama about continual unimpeded access despite their misbehavior. It would be just as good an in-joke, and a payback too, if the UnSignpost described their antics without ever naming them. Spıke ¬ 14:11 22-Sep-13

(Before edit-conflict) We have a whole article on wikia!! All you need to know is that wikia are very nice to us and invented the wonderful language of newspeak! Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign Scotland Flag 1 Compassrose VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 14:13, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
I tried to make it funny. And I know what wikia is, I want to know how it looks like from the inside, how many guards are there, where they are and when they switch, and finally what way does the director's secretary take when he/she leaves the office. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 14:22, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Be careful what you say my friend. Forum:Happy birthday TheHappySpaceman!

Sorry, Spike, I was just wondering why this forum got deleted. Llwy-ar-lawr (on the other site) pointed out that there was no reason in the deletion summary. So I visited QVFD and saw that it was Denza who put it there. But that was rather incivil, as even though the forum did not need to be in Village Dump, it was really TheHappySpaceman's birthday. It is probably too late to do anything right now but I want to know your opinion. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 17:54, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

Please. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 17:54, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Spaceman repeatedly opened Forums whose purpose was not the business of the website but self-promotion. Simsilikesims convinced me that an appropriate response was to move them to BHOP, which both she and I did, once over the revert of Spaceman. In one case where I did so and he protested that I should have wished him Happy Birthday, I deleted the page. Denza was not a factor.
Llwy is banned from this site essentially for a short career of continual gratuitous drama. One of the consequences of a ban is that one loses one's ability to affect life on the site, personally or through proxies. Llwy has no dog in this fight except her desire to continue injecting drama.
You are following in the footsteps of Denza and trying to endear yourself at another website by being a go-between on this website, even when it helps defeat the purpose of a ban (something I have described to Denza as "acquiring friends and playing them against one another"). I would prefer that you focus on comedy and not inter-site politics. Spıke ¬ 11:52 23-Sep-13
I agree. The politics of this site seem to me more complicated than Medieval European politics/pre-WW1 politics. I think the best advice for this site is to prove that we can create decent comedy that everyone enjoys and stick to our purpose thus completely destroying the need for the huge political brawls. Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign Scotland Flag 1 Compassrose VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 16:05, September 23, 2013 (UTC)
Spike, I am afraid you misunderstand me. It would not be very convincing to say that I am not here to cause drama or to make an break alliances or to become a Uncyclopolitician, as it will be only me saying it, but I will still say it. The fact that I am also present at the fork makes me hear many users' comments about different things and when I hear something interesting or something which I would know more about it, I can come here and ask questions accordingly. And I hope that's not what you meant by "go-between". Also, on two connected topics: it is perfectly normal tha Llwy-ar-lawr, after being blocked and criticised here, begins questioning our actions and criticising ourselves in return (I will not go in details of her criticising us at the very beginning, and I always think that criticism should be encouraged, as it helps to notice many mistakes, unless it becomes offending). Second, I did not want to say you were wrong, I have noticed recently how impolitely Denza was to some users and the fact that on the fork, as a reason for deleting the forum, he said: "He [TheHappySpaceman] is a noob, so nobody cares" (even if it was in a joking manner), and the fact that it was him who placed the page at QVFD aroused my suspicions.
P.S. With the busy year on, I almost cannot focuse on writing comedy and try to do something minor, such as help some users out. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 17:32, September 23, 2013 (UTC)

United States Congress

With apologies, I reverted your addition of a Mark Twain quotation. He was notorious for cynical wisecracks about Congress and politicians, but the point of Uncyclopedia is to write new comedy, not to catalog historical quotations. Mnbvcxz crusaded this spring to deprecate initial quotations in favor of just jumping in with original comedy of our own--He noted that no "encyclopedia," especially Wikipedia, starts articles this way--so if a quotation has no greater point than to remind readers that Twain disliked Congress, it should go. Spıke ¬ 15:29 6-Oct-13

Responding to you with the use of a quotation:
“If you can't find a quotation that is a tasty aperitif for the article, it would be better off with none.”
I thought I did find it, but if you think I didn't (and you know a lot more than me on the subject of the US Congress), than I am fine with it being reverted. Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 15:34, October 6, 2013 (UTC)
Anton...your quote is a lot funnier than the current one. I think it was a good edit.--ShabiDOO 02:28, October 8, 2013 (UTC)

Wise but true: Attributing the old Congress/Progress pun to Oscar Wilde is equally unenticing. (I moved this down under History.) Spıke ¬ 13:20 10-Oct-13

Used to

Anton, there is an English lesson for you at "Napoleonic Wars". Sometimes "to" is not a preposition but a second word of a two-word idiom that reads poorly if the words are separated. It may have been Churchill who called something an outrage "up with which we will not put" but it stands as one of the most awkward sentences ever spoken (by splitting up the idiom "put up with"). I rephrased the sentence generally, as the phrase in question is a digression that could just as easily be given with the single word "signature" (meaning thing the British are "used to," or here, which defines them). Spıke ¬ 13:01 10-Oct-13

Thanks, so I ought to have put two "to"s? Anton (talk) Uncyclopedia United 13:06, October 10, 2013 (UTC)

Certainly not. "To which they are used to" is just wrong. I state on my user page that I am an American proud to end a sentence with a preposition, but if that reads wrong to you, just pick a completely different way to say it (as I did, for a different reason). The sentence with two "to"s ends with a preposition anyway. Spıke ¬ 13:12 10-Oct-13
