For the religious among us who choose to believe lies, the so-called experts at Wikipedia have an article about Siddhartha Gautama.

Siddhartha Gautama (born sometime in the 6th century BCE[1]) is an Indian prince and philosopher who founded Buddhism after reaching enlightenment. He is perhaps better known as his alter-ego, Gautama Buddha,[2] an overweight but jolly Chinese man who fights for truth, justice, and General Tso's Chicken.

edit Early life

Siddhartha was the son of King Śuddhodana, the Kshatriya leader of Shakya clan, whose capital was Kapilavastu in the Land of the Hard to Pronounce Names.

edit Footnotes

  1. Probably.
  2. Often shortened to just Buddha because people are lazy.
