Kanga is a female mother character featured in the books and TV series of Winnie the Pooh. She is notable for being the only female character in the books and the films, and acts closest to the parent character of all the animals featured in The Hundred Acre Wood.
In recent years, to align with the more modern feminist public opinion, the character of Kanga has been updated, and given a larger role. This involved displaying her as a kick-boxing single mother, who is also a trained surgeon. Her new attitude came with a new catchphrase "Who needs a man when you got a girl?"
