In the much awaited second release from his debut album "Songs from the Prison Yard", artist Skip Spence allows us to glimpse his schizophrenic world from the safety of our homes. "The Monkeys are Attacking" is a musical interpretation of a trip that Skip once took to the market. Forever scarred by the experience, Skip has never returned to the market and currently only eats what he can barter off of the young neighbor boy.

Lyrics

Stalker Cover

I live in a town by the sea

It's so perfect, it's happy as can be

Then one day monkeys came from outer space

They tried to enslave the entire human race

They flung poo and it hit me in my eye

Lucky for me I was able to survive

We were under siege by a pack of big gorillas

We need help someone call Godzilla

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking our world (Help!Help!Help!)

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking our world (Help!Help!Help!)

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking our world (Help!Help!Help!)

Godzilla ran into the fight with his fire breath

Sent a pack of monkeys to their flaming deaths

He spun around and with a whip of his mighty tail

Sent some more monkeys on their way to Hell

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking our world (Help!Help!Help!)

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking our world (Help!Help!Help!)

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking

The monkeys are attacking our world (Help!Help!Help!)

The fight was finally over Godzilla has done his part

Saved our tiny town and won over our hearts

The monkeys flew away back to outer space

Godzilla had saved the entire human race

And if the monkeys come back flinging all their poo

We'll call on Godzilla and he'll know what to do

'Cuz the monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking no more

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking no more

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking no more (Yip!Yip!Yip!)

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking no more(Oy!Oy!Oy!)

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking no more (Yip!Yip!Yip!)

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking

The monkeys ain't attacking no more
