You should know it took me ages to read this bloody message. But thanks, I saw you playing with the formatting - stellar work as usual. The joke is supposed to be that no one cares about the story because they're too busy trying to have sex (which seems to happen to most people who play the game) and how the press criticised it for being pornographic despite the fact that the sex scenes are actually pretty laughable. I am concerned about how well this comes through though. --Black Flamingo 15:30, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

I agree, even her musical talent turns me on. Shame it wasn't the real her at Mathew Street. Apart from that you didn't miss by the way, just the infinite amount of Beatles cover bands as usual. --Black Flamingo 21:18, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

Tea and Strumpets

Thanks for the review, which is very in-depth, dispenses helpful advice, and has perhaps the longest straight-prose 'Humor' section I've ever seen in any review anyone's ever done for me. Thanks. Couple things, though:

  • I agree with most of what you say about my list, and generally speaking I dislike them as well, but I chose to do that section as a list mostly to contrast the the list on Wikipedia's article on British tea culture. If you think it doesn't work, though, I'm going to change it to prose.
  • Speaking of stuff in that list, the one bag per person and one for the lady is meant to be a variant on one bag per person and one for the pot mantra, also found in this Wikipedia article. The joke, aside from echoing that, is that the lady (the prostitute) is implicitly not a person based upon that phrasing, i.e. one bag for each real person present and one for the filthy prostitute, though less obvious and overt.
  • You say I have no image depicting 'the strumpets,' though actually the first image does: my caption reads "An aristocrat and her daughter (note, two people) prepare for an afternoon of tea and strumpets," or something like that, and there are clearly four women in the painting, which implies a bunch of stuff. I actually really like this first image, because I imply that there's going to be a steamy late-Victorian les-romp going on soon while not being too blatant about it, and this sultry implication contrasts with the very reserved and stiff nature of the painting, which appears to be a bunch of women rather benignly drinking tea. So, um, yeah.

My bulleted rambling aside, your review was extremely helpful, and I'm going to have this article revised along the lines of your criticism by the end of this long weekend. Thanks. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 15:17, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, everything you say there sounds good to me. I have never heard that "one bag for the pot" phrase, but now that I have it's all falling into place. I suppose you could link "lady" to teapot to make this clearer, but it's up to you of course, there's always going to be someone out there who doesn't get it. As for the list, it's not that it doesn't work, but I do personally think prose would be better. Again, just do whatever you think's best. Glad the review was helpful. --Black Flamingo 12:12, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks again for the review. I made a few adjustments per your advice and have mainspaced the article. Would you mind giving it a quick once-over again? If you think it's feature worthy, feel free to go ahead and nominate it. If you have any additional comments or suggestions before it's nominated, let me know about them. Thanks. —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 14:14, September 7, 2010 (UTC)
Excellent work, the article has a much better flow and also somehow seems longer now (?). I loved the joke about the gentleman's constitution. The final thing I'll say is regarding your 3rd footnote where you say the lady was not considered a person. This is a bit unsubtle now, do you think there's a way you could imply she "is" the pot, and by extension, not a person? Since it's not much of an issue I'll go and nom it now. --Black Flamingo 16:51, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks For The Review!

I was only able to quickly parse it at the moment but I think you've made some great points. As soon as I get some time to sit down and do some work I'll be using your input from the review to get me over the hump on this one and make a great article. Thanks!--DRStrangesig5 Sherman Fingertalk  22:58, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for the review...

It looks most helpful. I may not put it to use any time soon, but I am grateful you went to the effort as I probably will eventually.

And I know, I know, it's not an overly good article, but I'm also glad you did go into it, and the bad things are the useful stuff, since they are kind of what need fixing. So no need for disclaimers. And you make decent points. That I'll put to use later.

But there is one thing - I made up the bit about them literally being fruits and animals and whatnot (well, the Sohmas turn into animals sometimes, but they aren't normally so). In the actual anime/manga, it's just a metaphor about how much them lot stand out against the rest of the folks in society. So is there anything I might be able to do with that to make it funny or add to whatever jokes it winds up with, do you know? As is all it'll probably serve to do is make anyone who's actually familiar with the thing go d'oh at how stupid the idea of the article is, but... I couldn't think of anything better. Though d'oh may be good enough, anyhow, if I can shape up the rest. If so, it'll probably be your fault be thanks to you. At any rate, cheers. ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20100911 - 01:12 (UTC)

The only thing that springs to mind is to have all the fans treating it as if the whole animal/fruit metaphor is intentional and really intelligent, but then imply that they're simply reading too much into it and it's all nonsense. It depends how critical you want to be really. It's hard for me since I don't actually know anything about it. Anyway, I hope the review does help. --Black Flamingo 09:42, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

And thank you for the other review. You really are helpful. These should both prove quite useful if I ever get time to fix the articles. I hope I do eventually, though. This having to do stuff all the time is getting annoying.

Odd, though, that you would say that you don't have much to say and then go on to say quite a lot, most of which I seem to even agree with (this may change come implementation, of course), while the rest still has some kind of point behind it. Even if it is just opinion (what isn't in a review, though?), you provided a fair amount of concrete stuff to work with, specifics, suggestions and examples. Which is good. Because someone else just didn't do that at all on another one and now I'm being annoyed at him. Horribly annoyed. And stuff.

Also, you're right about the happiness thing. The current one is... well... even I could do better. ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20100917 - 17:41 (UTC)

Again, glad to be of help. As for me claiming I don't have much to say... I've written reviews twice as long as that one in the past. But you're right, it was still quite long. I didn't notice at the time. --Black Flamingo 21:48, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Yay! Great work. Quick too. I read it late yesterday, so haven't seen the newest version, and I didn't want to interrupt you to comment. Yeah I guess it's one of them things we'll never know. I think I'm leaning towards the mainstream view though. Name anyone "the best artist of their medium" and conspiracy theories are bound to emerge. Glad you liked it though, I've been working solidly on it all weekend. I was actually just checking out your Ann Coulter page too. I have no idea who she is but it seemed pretty funny. --Black Flamingo 14:13, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
I've personally proven that Claude Monet was actually Teddy Roosevelt just fucking around. You should have a 24-hour nom with Shakespeare. Thanks on Coulter, it actually was started by Chronanium (I never can remember how to spell his name) on the second day of Uncy's history, and once rewritten by Gerry Cheevers. But yeah, I'd better provide a wiki link for those who don't know the joys of Coulter's ramblings. Aleister 14:22 26 9

Finished it

Hi Black Flamingo, could I ask if you would give my article a final look-see, after the amazing review I hope you think it improved and any other advice would be most welcome. Thank you so much! (01:18 27/09/2010) (userohnogod--notagaintalk)

Hey there, nice to see you're still editing. The article definitely seems more focussed now so well done on that. One thing I would still suggest is that you try and get a few more jokes in. You really need at least one per paragraph. Sometimes in the article you seem to go a while without making one. Just try and twist things around a bit, if you know what I mean. Like instead of saying "kill two birds with one stone", which is an overused phrase, try something like "kill two wives with one guillotine", which is more specific to the character and a bit more unexpected. That's not a particularly hilarious example or anything but I hope you get my point. Of course, you're always welcome to submit it for a second review, although you might have to wait a while for someone to pick it up. --Black Flamingo 11:41, September 27, 2010 (UTC)
Kill two Afghan civilians with one tomahawk sidewinder. That's entertainment. Lurking Red Aleister 11:47 27 9
Doesn't really work in this context Al. Also, why are you red? --Black Flamingo 11:50, September 27, 2010 (UTC)
Why aren't you red is the better question. And your "Shakespeare Was a Sockpuppet" page, I'd nom it but I told Funnybony I'd nom his Jack Dempsey. Masterpieces both. Blue Aleister 11:54 27 9
Oh jeez, how do you do that? Why can't I do that? Tell me it comes with experience! I'll go stare vacantly at it for a couple of days, something might happen. Maybe a sidewinder will hit me in the head and trigger the funny part of my frontal lobe or something. I think I'll go eat lots of chocolate, that's usually good for most things. Thanks for all the great advice, the awesome review and for staying with me on this. (18:06 27/09/2010) (userohnogod--notagaintalk)
It really does come with experience. I wrote about four really crappy articles before I did anything of value here. I still write lots of mediocre stuff, but every now and then you'll just knock out a classic without even trying. Don't worry too much about it. --Black Flamingo 18:57, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

I dunno how to end things. Like, goodily. With conclusiveness and humour and stuff. On that note, could you take a look at that pursuit of happiness thing again and say if it's any better... and more importantly, give me some idea how to conclude it? (And yes, I intend to move it to happiness. I sort of changed it accordingly.) And that squid... I want to do something with the squid, I do; I love squids, but I couldn't think of anything. >.<

Please, though? Help? ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20100927 - 19:18 (UTC)

I both forgot all about it or thought once or twice that since nobody mentioned it there is nothing going on. I always have the hardest time finding where Skinfan puts the pages, and never saw it come up in recent changes. I'll search. Thanks for telling me. Aleister 10:19 28 9

p.s. Saw it, will read it later. Maybe we can change the Weird Al name, I seem to be the only Al working around the site and, you know, maybe Weird Froggy or something. Or Weird Skinfan (he may literally have been sent away towards Afghanistan or something. Or just plain Weird Wally. The page seems wordy and beyond my reading comprehension (fifth grade, fourth when I'm stoned), but I haven't actually read it yet. I look forward to working with you again on this. Maybe it can be extended out another few weeks, with so much MadMax contest and colonization going on. Maybe then. .what, wait, I'm being called away to Afghanistan, what the fuck, we leave when??? Come on, let me finish th

I'm back from Afgahnistan

Took care of those sandies pretty quickly. I'm trying to wrap my head around weird, and it seems topheavy or something. Like quicksand, although interesting quicksand at times. An overall tie-in is maybe missing except for Weird Al yapping. Still, it has great hopes and aspirations. So an idea, how about if we keep working on that while at the same time going on to the next collab, October's. I don't even know what's on the que, but it seems we need something new to get back the frat members into a state of frenzy about a page. The frat has something like four features now, so our track record is good, just have to get people into it again. Let's play on weird, and something else too. Thoughts? Aspirations? Aleister 10:19 30 9

I personally wouldn't be keen on starting a new one while Weird is still half finished. The whole "one article per month" thing has always seems a little too much to me anyway, especially now when we're up against Max's UN:REQ competition (that guy does nothing but cause drama). Perhaps we can rally some of the newer promising users like Lyrithia and Thatdamnedfollowspot to pitch in with Weird? As well as all the old jaded guys like Cheddar and Happytimes (and Matfen, although we might have to get rid of the Weird Al thing for that). Then again, you're in charge now, it's up to you. --Black Flamingo 10:54, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
Back just in time to see this. In charge? In Skinfan's dreams. All the monkeys are in charge of the cage. Alright, I'll try to rally them, although Imperial Colonization is starting up as well (on Dinasour) along with MadMax's game. I tried to do a page for that, Bed, but can't get into it, wait, as I typed this I got an idea for it. Just then. Are you a muse? Do you hire yourself out as a muse or is it just a family trait? Aleister 11:12 30 9
No I'm not a muse, but I am the bastard offspring of Zeus and one of his human daughters, so it's kind of the same thing. --Black Flamingo 11:27, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

I'd be happy to work on Weird Al or whatever if I knew where the linky-thingy was (er, this). Thanks for vlotes

Thanks for your support for my recent pages. Lots of fishing, Ann Coulter, ghosts like that. And I will take this chance to semi-whore for a reading of "My daddy has two yachts" on VFH, you may like that one. And a second reading ties it together. And the frat page, I've looked at it and tried to see an angle, but I can't break into your page and swing it anywhere. Would you mind a delete fest on it? Or do you have a solid impression of how it works and where you want it to go. I guess I owe the frat the time to work with you on it, so please tell me just what the fuck it is? I have to read it again. Me wonders where Skinfan actually is, or what terrorist he's murdering in their sleep. Wouldn't want to meet Skinfan is a dark alley, just where do you think he got his name???? What's your newest page? Or have you retired too, along with the many others who have drifted into Facebook or Skype or wherever they travel. Aleister 00:09 12 10

Basically, the idea for weird is just a guy talking about weird stuff in quite a moralising way while inadvertently revealing that he himself is very weird. That's about it. I certainly wouldn't mind if other people from the frat went in and just deleted everything they felt didn't work. But if nobody can find the enthusiasm for it I guess I can just continue with it (I'm patient when it comes to writing, I've been working on one article since my first week here and I'm still not done with it). As for what happened to Skinfan, I have no idea. I'm looking forward to his return though, even if he is going to be an empty shell of a man. The pee queue has never recovered since he left. I'm actually thinking of putting off writing for a while to focus on reviews. But I'll still be around. I don't think I'll ever leave. Five years from now it'll just me be and you left, me an Admin and you a 'Crat, oblivious to the fact that we're running the site into the ground. --Black Flamingo 07:10, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
By that time if I'm anything but a vandal blanking in spurts, please infiban me for my own good. I'm like that too, just edit and edit for months. My first feature came almost four months into my stay, and I was polishing all my pages up until that point, and since. Skinfan, he'll be back someday, better than ever. Sigh. Ah, I don't know about Weird right now, which is why I suggested we start another page and let Weird be edited as a sub-project until we think it's in good shape. Could take weeks or months, but it will get there. In the meantime maybe another frat project running at the same time? I think a flood of real good writers will join us all when the site picks up some good national or international publicity from a recognized source. I don't know why wikia doesn't have a position where all the employee does is try to publicize their sites, Uncy at the lead. If the New York Times, or Rachael Maddow, or The Sun or someone did a good size feature on us then the site would be known by hundreds of thousands of people who've never heard of us. That's one reason I keep writing here, I know someday our pages will be read by a larger audience (I got no comments on the Ann Coulter talk page when it was featured, you'd think some right wing nuts would at least find it and harass the page. Nothing. Maybe Coulter hasn't even heard of it. Wikia, go forth and promote. Long note short, thanks for your vote on Yachts, and your comment. This note is the start of my novel (in seriousness, another reason I've written here is that for a long time I'd not written fiction, only factual data, and wanted to get the fiction portion of my brain awoken again, and I may have done so. Longer note long, Aleister 1:42 13 10
Feel free to start a new page if you want, I'll see if I can pitch in. We have loads of great new users at the moment (see below), the only problem is we're losing all the old ones. --Black Flamingo 20:32, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

I've got some bad news for you...

The cancer has metastasised. I'm afraid it's serious; though we've tried everything we could, well... you've got six months.

I'm sorry.

But seriously, some thoughts...

  • The first paragraph is (still?) a bit choppy. It's the redundant sentence structure. This pops up in several parts, actually.
  • Poor Taurus.
  • The poor... galaxy.
  • So the name is a complete coincidence (introduction), yet it looked remarkably similar to a malignant neoplasm? There's another cancer?
  • I still love the mythology section.
  • Palm trees are pretty.
  • I mean, I'm reading your article. *shifty eyes*
  • Poor sun.
  • For an image, maybe a diagram of the sun and those constellations, or a cancer person (negativish), or a cancer person with a heart disease or one of the other ones person... mebbe a noted person from history fitting the characteristics?
  • The last sentence is a little abrupt... too much, perhaps. Or not. I dunno. Too conversational, maybe.

But anyhoo, I like it. It seems to have improved. I think. Honestly, I can't really remember how it was and am too lazy to look. >.< ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20101012 - 18:45 (UTC)

Thanks for reading it again. Just to clarify though, what on Earth do you mean by choppy? I couldn't tell what you meant by that in the first review which is I probably didn't do anything about it. Also; yes, there's two cancers, and they're both unrelated to each other, just like in real life (I've just swapped them around). Does that make sense? Again, thanks a lot for the help, greatly appreciated. I like the idea of an image of a cancer patient from history (perhaps Heracles?). I think I might have to pop over to UN:PIC for that. --Black Flamingo 19:00, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, choppy... I mean, like repetition of the same sentence structure... like starting several sentences in a row with 'it' or some such. Or spelling out the full name of something again and again, that'll do it too... maybe you did something like that. I can't remember.
Not really, since you said they did relate later... or are there now three cancers?
No problem and good luck. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must stare down this palm tree. ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20101012 - 19:12 (UTC)
Three cancers!? I'm in way over my head. Although I think I have a good idea to fix that. --Black Flamingo 20:32, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Bleegh, the file format probably doesn't work with IE, then. And using IE would mean your OS, or operating system, is some form of windows. I'm curious, though, which one, then? And what version of IE? It's possible a new one supports the *.apng format (animated png; what I used there because this bloody wiki doesn't have any of the click to hide functions installed, and because a *.gif would be hideous)... ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20101013 - 23:21 (UTC)

Wouldn't that make it go bye bye, or would that collapse the text under it also? The cyclone code works on my computer, but I don't have a clue as to what system or platform I have, but I do see a window (knocks on window). Someone looking in on me too, through the window. Aleister 23:27 13 10
The Cyclone one is an animated gif, which would not work here because this one uses transparency and anti-aliasing. And I hate gifs. Did I mention I hate gifs? I'ma hazard a guess you're running IE7 on Windows XP, Aleister, though. I'll assume I'm right until you say otherwise. So far, I know it does work with fairly up-to-date versions of Firefox and Opera, doesn't work with IE or Konqueror... and I'll test Chrome and Safari if I remember. But frankly, I've half a mind to leave it as a serves you right for using that crap at everyone who uses IE, though I suppose a click here for original page might do it, too, though, but it'd actually have to be a separate page from what I can tell. Would having the main body of the article as a separate page, transcluded like a template, be bad? ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20101013 - 23:51 (UTC)

I do have XP, so you'll probably right. IE. You hate gifs? Because they move, or because you're worried they may change from one viewing to the next, or more stuff may be added, like holographs and 3-D and things? Why do you want to set a Foxon fire? So many questions. If we really want to take away the mask the best thing would maybe be to just link the entire first paragraph to one of those pop-up things, so people can turn it on and off by clicking. But as it is now seems interesting, and if someone wants to read the hidden stuff (although much of it comes through the eye sockets) they can click edit and read it in rough form. It's all a quandry. Aleister, I should just change my name to Aleister and backdate everything. Could I list my stuff in the past as just Aleister then? I dunnno. 23:58 13 10

Nope, I have everything under control! Everything... please don't hurt me. Well, apparently Chrome doesn't support animated pngs, either... so yeah. Crazy solution to the rescue!
No, the thing I don't like about gifs is the fact that they do not support variable ranges of colours or variable transparency. It's either transparent or not with those. Horrid. *skitters off* ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20101014 - 00:21 (UTC)

Thanks for the review. You may be disappointed to hear I've given up on this one, but it was nice to recieve feedback. Personally, I think it was a terrible article. I'm not such a huge Weezer fan, either. ~~Sir Fightstar Rocks! CUN 15:36, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Pee Thanks

A A milne review was helpful as always. I've been trimming the top though I rather thought it was the psycho-bullshit at the end that was too long myself. I've tried to make the names more obvious but I'm going to leave the thing about the French and working class etc, because that's exactly what Punch used to be like. --Sog1970 10:58, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Sure that's fine, let me know when you're done. --Black Flamingo 11:23, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
I have trimmed, though not to Brazillian standard. I think I've followed up most of your suggestions - though I'm childish enough to like the No-tug, and I've had to sit through someone else's AA ritual so I'm loath to excise the 12 steps. The British Moon Corps thing is just a link to another of my articles - vanity, it'll kill me one day. You sure the psycho-babble isn't the weak link? --Sog1970 20:22, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

Upsilon Sigma Sigma October Newsletter

Ok guys, my bad. I was gone for a long time there. I found some free time recently so I'm hoping to get Upsilon Sigma Sigma started up again along with my other project, UnReviews.

At any rate, We're going to keep Weird, the August collaboration open. We're also going to go ahead and open up a November collaboration. The article on the queue that has the most votes is "Blockbuster" so that's the one we're going to do. You can find the collaboration page here. I'm probably going to disappear again because of school in a few weeks, so hopefully we can build up enough momentum here to keep our collaborations going. If you haven't noticed our previous collaborations have been huge hits, all have been featured on the front page. Hopefully "Weird" and "Blockbuster" will too in their own due time.

Looking forward to seeing you guys around the frat!

P.S. we have a FBotM nomination this month, make sure you go vote!

Reviewer of ze month

I could run your anti-Black Flamingo campaign at RotM if you'd like. We could put up posters, bribe people not to vote for you, break a few arms if they try, kidnap someone's wife so they get the message, and generally cause havoc among the populace until they vote for Chief in hopes that he'll protect them. That's how a campaign is run! Whaddayasay, give me carte blanche and I'll knock a few heads together in the voting booth. Aleister 10:12 23 10

Sounds good to me. If some of the other reviewers would simply vote on the fucking award I'm sure Chief would get a landslide big enough to wipe out half of Asia, but they're mysteriously absent. I say whack 'em. --Black Flamingo 10:16, October 23, 2010 (UTC)
It does sound like both of you have a case of the guilts. Chief says he hasn't done enough recent reviews to win again, and you feel the shadow of the Chief. It would be best if you tied, then go out for a drink together and fight it out like Rocky and Apollo Creed in Rocky 3, all alone with nobody else reading your competing 20-page reviews of History of Great Britain. Should be an interesting "contest" as the month ends. Good luck!? Aleister 10:23 23 10

Things in the night

Since I've never whored a page of mine, I thought I'd whore two, because of timing. Just a read, please, and if you like one or both, votes lit up by fireworks and dancing bears. The Cemetery of the Absurd page is aimed at Halloween, and two voters say yes only for Halloween (gulp). It lost half-a-vote yesterday to a random IP's first edit, so it needs ammo, man, needs it bad. And California Marijuana Initiative, of course, concerns next week's vote, although it can be relevant afterwards, esp. if it wins and the page is updated. Thanks. On the frat thing, I've played with Blockbuster, but have to put in some mafia stuff next. Maybe will go do that now. Yeah, why not. Running out the door and to the left. Aleister 12:08 28 10

Thanks! I like the Cemetery one, had a good time playing with it. Glad you liked it. Were you saying that Halloween is actually spelled Hallowe'en? I love the holiday, and know it's samhain roots, etc. (have you read Ray Bradbury's Halloween Tree?), but have I been misspelling it all this time? Just looked at the Youtube vid on Blockbuster and changed a little of my edits there, didn't know it was copying the piece too closely (the museum reference, and I'll change the cash register thing too, which is in the youtube vid.). Aleister 12:51 28 10
That's the traditional spelling (shortened from "All Hallow's Even", I believe) but I think your version is acceptable. The US does not seem to care for apostrophes. I'll take a look at Blockbuster later. --Black Flamingo 12:58, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

Things on the right

So, wondering how to make them userboxen cooperate and go to the side, eh? There really isn't a good way, since they're hardcoded divs that float left. Or is there a right way? ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20101028 - 21:06 (UTC)

Ok, I've had a fiddle with it and am marginally happier. I'll have to look again when I'm at home though because my work computer has a terrible monitor. Thanks for the sort-of help. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Black_flamingo11 (talk • contribs)
It hates us all, I swear. How badly do you think I could break it if I tried to add a parameter for positioning to the template itself? ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20101029 - 13:42 (UTC)
It might work. Although the admins would probably break you just as badly if it didn't. --Black Flamingo 14:01, October 29, 2010 (UTC)
Sounds like something I ought to try, then. I really do need to get banned for something besides 'asking for it' one of these days... unless that'd also be construed as... urg. *mumbles and wanders off* ~ Pointy *shifty eyes* (talk) (stalk) -- 20101029 - 14:11 (UTC)

Wow! Flamingo. Thanks! Can you believe, I was not paying attention, and just now discovered your Pee review. I mean, one hour ago. Prior to that, recently, I had done a clean sweep. Tony Jaa is grateful

Flamingo, thanks. I have made so many changes and edits, all of which you can compare, since I discovered your Pee. In fact, you will be proud of yourself that your review made such a difference. And proud of me for taking it seriously. In fact, I live in the same country as Jaa, and he really is a monk now. Begs for his once-a-day-food, walks barefoot, no sex, all the rules. And this guy really hit the big time in Hollywood and is a national hero here, but he just dumped his awesome babe, ditched everything, and shaved his head, lost in the monkhood. Quite amazing really. But, you can bet, he's just practicing and he'll be back to finish off all the remaining elephant haters. There must be some supernatural force at work with him - otherwise he can defy reason, both on and off screen. Anyway, if you think it has a chance at VFH please do consider to Nom it - as the fruit of your Pee Review - on VFH. And, if so, please write Tony Jaa 2nd nom - it's, like, WAY different than the first time. He certainly deserves to be featured on Uncyclopedia, and you won't find an elephant on Earth who would disagree. Cheers!--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 19:58, Nov 1

That is pretty amazing. If I don't read it tonight I'll surreptitiously read it in work tomorrow (I've been hit by inspiration for an article of my own right now and want to make the most of it). Glad you found the review helpful, you hardworking motherfucker you. --Black Flamingo 20:05, November 1, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks to both of you for introducing me to Tony Jaa. The videos are so interesting, and that one take of him going up the stairs is a keeper. Jaa. Have you ever met him in his begging, or given him food? Aleister 20:20 1 11
No, I could meet him if I had a reason. I am able to meet anyone here if I have a reason. Which I some times do, such as making presentations to the royal family or advising the leaders (really). But it's interesting how the one thing that you most removed from the Jaa Article is the fucking meme Chuck Norris (who is glad that he "doesn't know Jack") because if Tony wanted to be thought of like Chuck Norris then the last thing he would do is become a no-body monk. Hehe! Pretty interesting. He'll be back, twice as awesome, for sure. BTW: Somebody added a FACT: Gravity is Tony Jaa's bitch. I took that out... is that okay? If it's funny enough lets put it back, there are only 3 facts now so its hardly listy. I'm interested in your next project. Maybe I can help. If it's happening I'll Nom it for you. Whattya say? Cheers!--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 22:08, Nov 1
Oops! Jeez! I thought I was writing the above in reply to Flamingo. Sorry the mix up. But, it works just as well for Al as well as Flamingo. So no biggie. Cheers!--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 11:25, Nov 2
Al here. If Tony Jaa is begging around your city, why don't you find him and show him your article? You don't even have to tell him who you are, you can just say here Tony, look at this, and if he doesn't kick your ass he may have some interesting comments and maybe a few things to add to the page. I kind of hope all the people who are written about here get to read their pages, but if Jaa needs some rice, you have a chance to give the man some rice and get his feedback on the page! But he may kick your ass, and take the rice, so I don't know. Aleister 16:14 2 11
Naa, he's outside of town in another county. He's not seeing anyone. And he can't read English. But he CAN kick elephant-hating arse.--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 20:33, Nov 2
Flamingo! Okay, I addressed the things you just mentioned and also canned the "facts" section. Please recheck if you have time. I don't read car articles, but the pictures look nice. Nice work, I think. Aleister 20:21 1 11

Why don't you read car articles? If it will convince you to read it, please note that I know fuck all about cars, have never owned one and probably never will. The article is more about adverts. --Black Flamingo 20:23, November 1, 2010 (UTC)
Personal bias, I guess. I've never added a category to a car page or pick, etc. Just like I've never looked at the Chuck Norris page here. I've got a few of those things, like I'm proud I never saw an episode of "Little House on the Prairie" or some other tv shows, weird things like that. Either a personal yoga or anti-yoga. Doesn't mean I don't like your new page, it has nice pictures. And good bold lettering. Thanks for your vote, which is always nice to receive. Like a happy ending. The explanation of the graphics on top were they looked good to me. That is all. If I wanted to get academic on it and force reasoning into the thing, I'd say that the marching marijuana leaves play off of and illustrate one of the first lines on the page "Marchin' down to freedomland". The Judea template explains at a glance that the human race is shooting itself in the foot by being foolishly divided on the issue of legalization, which would then have brought the day closer when hemp goes back into full production with all of its attendant products and tax revenue. But really, the combination of template and marching leaves just looked good to me. 'tis a sad day, hopes dashed against the keil and all, and I will just have to drown myself in vodka (I have taken a vow not to get high until marijuana is legalized throughout the world, or until 7 p.m. rolls around, whichever comes first). Thanks again, Aleister 12:40 3 11

Nice work! As is your norm. I like the pics, and the bold lettering (what?), but this time I did read it all. I actually have a friend who was way into utopian thought. He'd dress all in blue, even his shoes, and taught a course on utopia at a minor college (he told all his students in the first minute of class that they would all get A's in the course). True story, not like some of the stories around here. Aleister 12:00 5 11

Thanks Al, I can always rely on you for a glowing review mere seconds after finishing an article, very much appreciated! Funnily enough, this article is based on the beliefs of one of my friends as well (including the bit about tigers, even). Maybe we should introduce them to each other, sounds like they'd get on like a futuristic utopian house on fire. --Black Flamingo 12:39, November 5, 2010 (UTC)
Seconds later, I don't know what you mean. Hey, great job with our Weird Collab. I haven't read the new sections yet, but I'm sure our collab is going well. Cheers all around, frat members, we've done this one justice!!!! Can you see a section where I could add in some more of my wit and humour, a pound a day and well paid at that price? Or should I just add a new section? We've done so well up to now. . / ///////...;kjk;'(oh look, things are following me) Aleister 10:18 6 11
Yes, it really has been a group effort in the true spirit of collaboration! A new section would be best, something nice and conclusive to go at the end preferrably. But the previous paragraphs could still do with some improvements (I just realised that the whole tourette's thing has been done before, damn it). OK, since I'm back I'll look at Weird, but may not add anything now or may, depending on how long a good shower takes to wash the blood off, got quite a bit of it in my hair this time and that's usually a bother. When you have a minute please see if you could do better, or if it's even needed. And we should pick another name rather than Skinfan (although that's fun) if we want to try and feature it to keep the frat run of features going, people will say it's an in-joke. Romartus might be a better name, but I'm not sure. And something I've meant to tell you from time to time and never did: The one word caption on the opening pic up there on your talk page is, imnho, the best caption on the site. It is either said by the guy leaving or by the sun, both ways veryveryvery funny. Aleister 13:22 8 11

Thanks, and to return the compliment, your suggestion to make Romartus the narrator was similarly hilarious. I'd actually love to do it, just to see what he says. Apart from that I don't think the name is really important. --Black Flamingo 14:27, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

May I be the bearer of good news. Look, you won this honored patch, please sew it on and wear it proudly. Aleister 18:26 8 11

Flamingo. You're so nice. I love all the edits and help you've so kindly given. This is now way different than the first nom around. I removed the VFH template because it was leading people to the old 1st Nom results, and I don't know how to fix it. Much appreciated, and just goes to show that two heads are twice as many as one. Joe Pesci

Bro! I saw your note. Do you know what is wrong with it? I'm sure you get the point. If I pull this nom will you do a Pee review so it can be renomed? You're help on Jaa made all the difference. Let's do a collab. Obviously some readers like it. So far only you see what's wrong. Come on... cough it up. It can be fixed. Or, you please be my guest to make it right. You're invited to edit your heart out. Dude!--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 22:01, Nov 13

Flamingo, whattya think about doing a collab on Joe Pesci? He's most noted for his tough guy portrayals, which are pretty heavy in deed. Want to help make it universally acceptable? Hope so. Much thanks as always.--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 09:21, Nov 16
Hmm, possibly, possibly. I'll see if I can come up with anything when I get some time. To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of the concept of Pesci being a gangster in real life. The only jokes in here are just the various acts of violence he's supposedly committed, which I didn't think was particularly funny. Problem is, I can't think of anything better. If it ends up on pee review, then I'll definitely try to go into more depth, or else get Lyrithya too. --Black Flamingo 12:21, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
Well, bro! That's basically it. It's absurd that he did the things seen on film. But it is drab boring content to know that he was just acting. He's an actor is just a drab boring fact. He never did anything besides play in movies. But as with anything violent there will always be users who find that distasteful. It's hard to please everyone. Anyway, I rewrote the intro, removing the nonsense that I think was turning people away. It's kind of like laughing about violence because it never really happened. Its absurd. If it fails first Nom then it's back to Pee review, and on from there. Anyway, because of your comments it already starts out much better - take a look at the opening (the para below the quote). Would that quote be better off in the quotes section at the bottom. Then it would start with the rewritten paragraph only. And the list of victims was not even written by me, and it would make a difference if I delete that section? If you have a chance please let me know. Cheers!--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 12:53, Nov 16
I do like the intro. In fact I probably like everything up until stabbing his teacher in the heart. Perhaps a drier, more matter-of-fact portrayal of the horrible things he's done would help, with more of a focus on his movie career instead of bits on "how to survive" and "Pesci's religion". In my opinion, I think it would work better if it read like a Wikipedia article in terms of tone, but with crazy Uncyc content. --Black Flamingo 14:06, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

Dude! Here's the part you got stuck on, as it reads now,

By the time "The Ant" was 6-years-old he was on the run for sending his 1st grade teacher to the principal's office, so he changed his name to Joe Pesci using the ID of another victim. By the age of 8 he adopted a bat as his pet. Most young kids sleep with a teddy-bear but Pesci slept with a baseball bat. Later in life Pesci traded in his bat for a snub-nose pistol. From then on he demonstrated that a simple hand gun can also be a lethal WMD if used often enough. ---That is much kinder, gentler, and smoother, thanks!

And I ditched the religion section, and retitled the facts para. I also ditched the list of victims. So it's much better already based on you're advice. Let's see how it goes if people recheck it now. Cheers!--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 21:44, Nov 16

Well kinda, bepending on what squadron(s) you chose. We have the "Twin Suns Squadron", their job is reverting vandalism, reporting vandals, and placing crap on QVFD, VFD, and ICU. We also have the "Blue Squadron", their job is breaking up destructive flame wars, unless on BHOP. Then there's the "Generic Squadron", their job is helping users with everyday problems. An last there's the "Reserve Squadron", thire job is being ready to be called up to any of the squadrons above. So basically just helpful stuff. Kinda what you're doing anyway. --Tophat headless 13:54, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

GOOD JOB. Okay, I went through the whole thing and didn't remove anything, made a few additions and typos, and I think it's looking good. We should call it the collaboration it is, and renom it (like Red Sea, remember?). Two heads are twice as many as one. Do you feel happy with the piece now? Please check out my additions. And maybe double check. But we can renom anytime, which is what I told Chief. Way to go, bro!--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 22:06, Nov 17

It's definitely better. I'm not sure if I like he last three sections though. Of the quotes, I think only the long one is particularly funny. And the How to Treat Joe Pesci does have some good bits. Maybe get rid of The Joe Pesci Rule bit and see what we can do with the others (we need more on Raging Bull considering it was his first big role, how about we move that long quote up to the film career section and say that was his audition for Raging Bull?) --Black Flamingo 20:49, November 18, 2010 (UTC)
Pard! I liked the additions/subtractions and rearrangement - great! But two pics seemed too close, so I moved one down - it balances okay now. Otherwise changed nothing else. Whattya think? John Peel

You wanna do a collaboration with me on our fav DJ? I have first hand experience. He told me more than once that I was a brother to him. I also knew him before he got famous, and stayed in contact until his death in Peru. There is a shit load of material on Wikipedia. He always used to sign off the show, "Goodbye and good riddance" or some such. Maybe we can do it. John was a really funny cat. The down side is the fact that apart from his funny show and all the bands he made famous, his personal life was pretty boring. Same is true with artist Don Martin - apart from his cartoons he doesn't have a life to spoof. Have to make shit up. Cheers! Stay well!--Funnybony Icons-flag-th Agnideva-small.jpg AGT-logo-small.jpg 12:06, Nov 20

A feature?

Hello. I wonder if Weird will get the tenth or twelfth vote? I know you don't really care, having a feature every other day or so, but I've never had one and think it would be fun (is it? What's it like?). Maybe we'll have to let some of the other frat members know it's on vfh, it't like Paizuri and Skinfan and others have packed their bags and gone to sea. By the wayz, do you hate the Mike Tyson and small children pages? Have you passed on the Tyson page because he's black, is that the reason? If either of those two make it I will get a feature or part of one, which would be like Christmas morning, I think (is it?). And congrats on best of October, although Wizard and Raccoons sit there like toads on mushrooms waiting for the day to fight it out for number one of the year. Gulp. Aleister 1:37 24 11

I totally agree. With everything. Hope that helps. --Black Flamingo 10:04, November 24, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, it clears everything up in one swoop. Thanks. I can't wait for a feature someday, you make it sound so interesting and fun. By the way, have you checked out my newest edit or two on weird? Was lol hah a hahee hee hee when I put it in. And when will you finish your page on Abe Lincoln putzing around his home while getting ready to go to the theater? Aleister 10:58 24 11
I strongly disagree. --Black Flamingo 11:09, November 24, 2010 (UTC)

I got a feature! And it does feel good, you were right. Nice work on the page, I couldn't have done it if you hadn't written 95% of the page before I stuck my nose into it. What was I thinking? Now if only some miracle occurs and my HowTo:Frighten small children page would get featured, I would feel like a grown up lad who is able to write on his own without an entire frat helping (they better throw us a party tonight!). Congratulations, nice work. And I bet Romartus is feeling the burn, I have no idea why we kept that in there and why it passed with it in the first line. Oh well, he'll get us back, I'm sure. Aleister 21:05 27 11

Nice work yourself. And you really don't need to whore to me, your articles nearly always pass VFH. But I will read it as soon as I get the chance, although it may have been featured by then. --Black Flamingo 21:10, November 27, 2010 (UTC)
Whore? I get my first half-feature, feeling on top of the world, and you call me names and spit within my facial area. Now the champagne will go back in the basement, I'll kick the dog, and go to sleep early after eating an entire pizza. Happy? Damn you Black Flamingo. Where's that dog? Aleister 21:15 27 11

Flamingo, bro

I had mentioned to Chief thinking I perhaps unwittingly put our Pesci article at a disadvantage on VFH by making some no votes on a couple articles. It's just that I think direct insults are never funny, specially when directed at genuine recognized talent, such as in R&R. But I'm glad Chief left it up because I have to ask you first in any case. I think its a great article. Hey, we both love John Peel, so how about you and I collaborate on THIS. It's a fun subject. I lived it. Please take a look. Dog, Dogs, Doggie-Style

Hello.Wanted to tell you that I went back into Dog history and extracted the old page, renamed it Dogs, and did a quick, well, not-so quick, tedious and boring and mind-numbing, clean-up. A good companion (pun intended) article to Dog, and I put in adequate links to your page. Are you going to do a fix on yours and bring it back to VFH at some point? Arf? Was that an arf? I don't understand, boy. What? Outside? Anyway, Dogs had some good points, and some nice pics, so it seemed savable in that form of the various takes on a dog. What? A cookie? Water? Aleister 12:58 4 12

Well, if you want I can change mine to another title so you can have Dog too. I personally hated the old page, although I'm not particularly proud of my rewrite either. I was pretty new when I wrote it, I've grown since then. Now I'm a hundred feet tall. --Black Flamingo 13:42, December 4, 2010 (UTC)
EEEkk, no, I don't want to own Dog. Never again! But that's another story. The Dog and Dogs page are good for each other, one is different than the other. I really don't want to do much more on Dogs, but will go in for a further clean-up and a few addits since I dove into the matter. Maybe one of those linky "Are you looking for your ass?" things on the top of each page will criss-cross them. What is/are your newest works in progress, if I may be so bold to enquire? Perchance, dost thou intent to worketh on the psychodelic page of Funnybony's, wherein lie dragons? Aleister 13:27 4 12
I'd like to do the Funnybony collab but I'm a bit busy right now with other projects. My novel is in its finishing stages and I'm trying to focus upon that. Plus, December is just one of them months where you don't have any spare time, what with Christmas, Channukah and my parent's traditional yuletide curry. Damn pagans. I have a few ideas for new articles though, including one on this. What about yours elf? --Black Flamingo 14:34, December 4, 2010 (UTC)
A novel, good. But you must not speak of such things before completion, else some energy is drained from the project, or at least that's what "they" say. Good luck with all the holidays. I've been kicking around on this and this, with a few more I touch on once in awhile. Will look at your link later, as I must sign off soon, and away. . .Aleister 14 4 12
Was I wrong to nom Dog because I thought it was very funny mostly probably I hate dogs plus it was funny --PUTTYStab Pinata207 image 23:30, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
If I may butts in, no, it was great you nommed dog. The requirements for nomming are to put up something you find funny and maybe exceptional. Just because the dog got kicked out into the back yard and locked out all night doesn't mean a thing--and looked what happened. Because of you nomming it I looked back into its history and dragged out an entire article, Dogs, edited it, and now Uncy has an entire page it didn't have before. That was because of you and I. Things begat things around here. Nice work. Aleister 00:09 5 12
Al is right, don't worry about it. Never hesitate to nominate any article you like. I was really flattered that you nommed it. But at the end of the day I had to be honest; I don't think it's good enough for the front page. --Black Flamingo 09:01, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

More Doggie Style

Could you take a glance at "Never on Sunday" on VFH? It's even got "for" voters praying over it, and that's never a good sign. The other one got to eight votes and then people started to vote against it, so I thought I'd come by and ask for a read on this one while the spirit of Christmas still lingers. Aleister 12:55 6 12

It made it to the front page, thanks to your non-vote. And I know Funnybony has been sulking for days that you haven't voted aye or nay as yet on "Mike Tyson", which still lingers spectre-like on VFH, just needing a round of someone pumping new life into the nom. And, more work, John Lydon joined the frat and I think he did something with Blockbuster but I don't know what yet. I hope all goes well this last week or so, cheers! Aleister 11:57 10 12
Anytime. --Black Flamingo 15:58, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

I'm going to plop this in here, maybe erase it when read. Can I count on you to keep heading up the effort to have a tie for WotY, mostly at the last few minutes on the 31st? I did not expect to be two up, and although it's still early, if it ends like this I'd be so fucking dissapointed that only one of us won, it's Sog and Mhaille for monkey's sake! I'd love to win, Yay, but not alone, and they deserve it like I deserve to have Uma Thurman decide to give me a week of her life "and feel free to do anthing, Al", yep, just like that. So if you can talk select people into moving votes at very select moments on the 31st, that'd be nice. Maybe it will all even up by then anyway. Thanks. Aleister 22:22 15 1 '11

Instead of doing something productive...

I have come to demonstrate what a terrible mistake you made voting for me for UotM last month. Really, I do not understand what you possibly could have been thinking, but what is done is done, and now I suppose I should be gracious and attempt to thank you, or something. As I do not know how to be gracious, however, I will instead give you a carefully chosen line of Madness, for you to keep as your very own:

I awoke to a horrible racket of birdsong...

UotM needs more love this month, of course, but as I am indeed here to be a terribly useless lump, instead of imploring you to vote for a rather wonderful fellow who should have gotten it last month, I'll just end now and sign this with a signature that has, indeed, been confirmed to be... er, against policy, or something. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy Major Pleb Sir LyrithyaAthyriaIsarraHaydrahlienne - 'Destroyer of the Wiki' - MUN OUN CUN KUN DUN GUN *shifty eyes* (zombiebaron) • (dr. skullthumper) • (roman dog bird) • (nachlader) • (frosty) • (more zombiebaron) • (talk) • (stalk) • (block) • (log) • (list) • WotMUotMRotMPotMUGotM x4 • SotMFFSNOMMotMBFF x2 • GSA x2 • PSFiyCMDTop3 x3 • Top10VFH x15 • VFP x3.5 • HoSTAWHMCPEEINGPRSPCURCΥΣΣICZB -- 21:52, 9 December, 2010 (UTC)

Man, I love your reviews. I was going to say more, but I forgot what it was... anyhow, yet again, thank you for reviewing one of my monstrosities. No, I don't expect this one to go anywhere, but maybe I can make it passable just to spite everyone else who writes such things... this should certainly help. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 03:43, 15 December 2010

Hey, just wondering if you are still willing to adopt a noob. You've checked one of my articles before and I really liked your review, lots of good points. I've figured out most of the technical commands for uncyclopedia, but as I'm sure you've already been able to tell, still need help making better articles. This is only if you're not busy, of course. Thanks a lot. User:Oliphaunte--The fate of our lives is driven by interpretive dance 20:26, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

Maintenance tables

Basically, what you need to do is update the thingies, poke the squingies, readjust the blots, and sacrefice a large yak to the Gods Askew. Once that's done, I really don't see anyone caring if you do your own so long as you do it right, since you tend to be of such consistent high quality in your reviews, but might I suggest reading that overly complicated guide more first if you do it again? Need to sacrefice the yak just so, see...

Or you could just tell someone and they'll probably be more likely to get around to doing it for you. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 19:06, 26 December 2010

Did I do it wrong? I have read the guide several times but I'm kind of immune to large amounts of information. I probably won't do it again, I was just bored and wanted to see if I could. --Black Flamingo 21:07, December 26, 2010 (UTC)
Well, except for the updating the stuff at the bottom of the particularly horrific table, you did fine... but boredom is dangerous. Very dangerous. First time I tried updating that one, Chief had to come rescue me, and that was born of boredom as well. Although I think that beats the time I got bored and started messing with ban patrol and he came and banned me... *shifty eyes* 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 23:39, 26 December 2010

Godfather III

Impressive, impressive indeed. Nice work! If it ever makes it to VFH I may have to keep track of the score and, once it reaches 16, wished that maybe I'd have voted for it. It's that good! Congrats. Al entwined in soap 13:51 27 12

Taking the Black flamingo approach to VFH I see. Nice. And thanks, I'll probably nom it soon (although if I do that I'll have to vote on all the others, you know, to be fair?). --Black Flamingo 13:55, December 27, 2010 (UTC)
I actually liked Godfather III, and thought that its bad publicity came from the media trying to protect the Catholic church, which walks hand in hand with the mob and has done so ever since Capone sat down with St. Paul to carve out the territory. III is the only film I can think of that goes into that with any depth, so of course it had to be semi-blackballed by the critics. And the performance of Coppola's babysitter in the background of the party scene, where she plays with Coppola's dog and second-cousin twice removed is a classic. Red Aleister 14:00 27 12
It's not a bad movie, I just think it's clumsily told and poorly acted. Or maybe I'm just saying that because I'm worried the film critics will try to silence me too. --Black Flamingo 14:06, December 27, 2010 (UTC)
So true. After what you did to Ebert he has you on his watch list. And I haven't seen III in several years, so maybe I'm remembering what I want to remember, and all most people remember is that "dragging me back in" line uttered by one of the mobsters, maybe Sonny as they drag his corpse out of the grave and prop it up in a steam room and make it talk. I do remember that. Aleister 14:14 27 12

Hmm, there may be. I think it might already be in the See Also section, I'm not sure how you could exactly reference it in the article because it has a very specific concept as to what vending machines are (gambling machines). UnBooks:Let's take a walk in the city! on VFH

Hey I just wanted to tell you, I changed some things about the article and was wondering if you would like to read it again. If your vote is still no then that's fine with me. Anyway, here's a list of things I did to it:

I made all the images 300px (except this one and this one which were much too big at 300px), I tryed to make the transitions much smoother, added two pages, a couple images, moved the page to a shorter name, and got it proofread (good this time).

So maybe you could read over the article again. And like I said, it you still don't think it's a feature that's fine. But don't be afraid to change to an Abstain, because anything helps. --Tophat headless 01:51, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

A New Article

Hey, just wondering if you could check over this article I dug up, found in a dumpster, wrote my own blood, sweat and tears. A Day With My Dad. Excuse the juvenilleness of the article. Looking back on it, I'm a little worried a demon possessed me while I was writing it...

Thanks very much,

Yours truly, Oliphaunte

HowTo:Die?, HowTo:Die?, You Morbid Cocksucker

Jeez, didn't your mother teach you anything. We have to soften dying into a spongelike thing, like "passing away" (i.e. "La dee da, wheeeeeeee, he passed away. Where'd he go?"), "the late Mr. Jones" ("Shouldn't he have gotten here by now!"), or simply "expired" (use-by date). But "going into the light", there is poetry. Not only does the person have some light left to go into, but they might as well go into it being there is nothing else to do, specifically. Hmmmmm. I shall use some of this rant in the article. Never mind, you morbid cocksucker. Aleister 12:47 9 1 '11

There, worked it in. So at least your hate filled morbidity did some good, inspiring a gentle gentleman like me to soil my booths amongst the squishy. Aleister 13:09 9 1 '11
Actually I see your point, maybe the original title is the best. I do like the new edit by the way, I think it was the afterlife stuff that I didn't like so much. --Black Flamingo 13:37, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
Atheist. Seriously though, I'm exactly 50-50 on afterlife probability. The body and brain dies, machine gunk. But I've also experimented and been trained enough in "things" to know beyond a doubt that we are capable of looking at someone else's life experiences and memories just by putting attention onto it, ala Edgar Cayce (hmmm, should do a sojourn page or a spork on Edgar Cayce. You are an inspiration just "talking" at/to you), and that consideration has the power to create or shift things. So, in my own thought and knowingness at least, there is "something" more than just the body. Maybe it's just we can read our own mental creations, and these overlap with "out there, beyond the brain" reality. Anyway, does that survive? I dunno. Aleister 13:52 9 1 '11
I personally don't think so. I find it difficult to accept anything slightly spiritual to be honest, to me the body is just matter, consciousness is just electricity and emotions are just chemicals. The universe is cold and meaningless, so we use our imaginations to make it seem like there's order and meaning, and even eternal life. Reality is invented by people, it's not really there. If you believe in something, then that's real to you. But then, I'm pretty irreligious, not Atheist or even Agnostic; I just don't really see the point in worrying about it. And certainly no arguing it. Amen. --Black Flamingo 14:07, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
I know! That's what's so interesting about even one psychic event, just one. It "proves" that the chemicals and electricity can "view" something a distance away, either in space or time. I could go on for hours about this stuff. The spice of life. Or one of spices of life, maybe akin to curry. Aleister 14:12 9 1 '11

Good day to ya

Hey there, how you been?

I was just wondering if you could take a look at one of my pee reviews whenever you're free and tell me what it is I'm missing. Seems that I'm not mentioning something according the the reviews of my reviews, but I could've sworn I made sure that I nailed everything. Hoping that a swell reviewer such as yourself could take the time to tell me what it is I'm missing.

Thanks and have a swell day, yours truly --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა)  Georgia-flag-on-soccer-ball-vector 16:07, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

Damn, that unfortunate to hear. Hope everything gets better and that it's not too serious.
As for me, things were going well until I learned that I don't have natural born talent at playing the accordion...Also, know anyone who would be interested in buying an accordion?
Thanks for the advice, it makes more sense to me now that someone has explained it. It's good to know that I wasn't the only one who thought quotes are slightly more harmful than helpful, I was afraid it was some personal thing I had against them or something.
And yea, I've been studying others' reviews and seeing the difference. To be honest, I've been modeling my pee reviews after your reviews and from personal intuition, but I guess I need to study a bit more...It's sad that I'm studying pee reviewing more than what I actually need to be studying.
Thanks very much for taking the time to help me out, hope things work out for you --Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა)  Georgia-flag-on-soccer-ball-vector 03:18, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, I thought I was gone for good because what little creativity I had seemed to have packed their bags and left me. But yesterday, I was cleaning out my old computer and happened to look at my bookmarks. And I remembered this place with great fondness and a certain amount of giddiness. I'm waiting to settle in and get back into my former mindset, though there's a chance that it may never happen. Lots of stuff, so I'll short it. Nice pic, Maniac. I haven't thought of anything for Garfunkel and Oates, you? And with the poo lit thing on I should work on that. Whore a read for "Kitten Cookbook"? Kittens love you. Do you think Blockbuster is in shape for a pee or nom, or nompee? I'll see what Skinfan thinks. Your Baby TV page, now in my Uncy top ten. (a rough list, in no particular order: protagonist; the camera obscura page; fluffy bunny world; mortal sin; socky's elfen lied, history of great britain, baby tv, thinker's bjork page, and leaving two spots open for roaming favorites.). God save the queen, but who's going to save that Charles guy?Aleister 2:44 24-1-'11

What pic? Haven't thought of anything for G&O, but that's probably because I've been so busy with my various PLS entries too. I'll read Kitten Cookbook later, it does look interesting. I think Blockbuster is probably good enough for a nom, but unless someone outside the group does it it'll be invalid, so maybe submit it to pee first and see what happens? I'm glad you like BabyTV, I was thinking of entering it in PLS but wasn't sure if it was good enough. I'm a bit more confident now. Think that's everything. --Black Flamingo 10:11, January 24, 2011 (UTC)
By pic I meant Maniac's masterpiece above. And BabyTV, ha, too good for PLS. PLS should have to beg to have it included ("Please," said PLS, "please".). I left Skinfan a note about Blockbuster, and he said it's almost time for the next collab, whatever that will be, and I forget what he said about Blockbuster. Aleister 10:20 24-1-'11
Well I'll enter it then, there's a lot of pressure to defend my crown and I was wondering if I'd be able to write something better. I like how you have one of your own articles in your top ten, by the way. Let's just submit Blockbuster to pee, because then if Skinnyboy still wants to work on it he can, and in a week's time we'll be nom-free. Aren't you entering PLS, Mr WotY? --Black Flamingo 14:37, January 24, 2011 (UTC)
Good, on all counts. You have a worthwhile page to defend it with. Blockbuster would be a good pee candidate, as there are probably things people will say "Huh?" at, but maybe not, I got some chuckles out of the page (I like the licorice ones, and I got some laughs from it too). Mortal Sin, yes, I was priest molested before I molested him right back, so the sins of the catholic church are evident, and to be fair I would have chosen that in my top 10 (I have an exagerrated sense of fairness, priest molestation related I suppose). And my PLS page, procrastinating, and I'd better get on it soon. As for woty, lots of people still haven't voted, and if you help get all three of us out of the way now by a tie then 2011 looks like "the year of the flamingo", as prophesized by the ancient and radical Hopi Weathermen. Aleister 15:33 24-1-'11

has shed some more skin since you visited. Two new sections at the end (a new ending section and a recipie added by Zana) and a couple of addits suggested by Romartus as well as the names of a few recipes. Probably the new section(s) are most relevant to your comment. Or scanning the links. Too much work and no play makes Aleister a dull boy. Aleister 4:03 26-1-'11

Clare GAA Review

Thanks you for your review, I knew prose was a one of the serious problems in this article and I was delighted with the suggestions you made which really helped me out. Thanks again. The reason I decided not to explain the history about Gaelic Football in Clare is because the team had, and still have a terrible record in the national competitions. I was attempting to tie this in with the slightly bias narration of the article, which I thought seemed funny. Your review really helped me, thanks once again.

More truth

Call me a heretic, but the earth revolves around the sun, and not the other way. I don't know if anyone has ever come up with this before, probably not. I guessed it from watching the shadow on the moon, kind of a curve, so the earth must be like a big rock or something. And I'm guessing that when the sun is yellow and you can't look at it that's where the moon's light comes from (kind of like when you look at your lit computer screen the light coming from it is probably sunlight that streams in and is collected somewhere). So maybe the earth turns around and around, like, here, put your arms out and twirl. Like that. The earth must be doing that, and when the moon is lit up the earth must be on the other side of the rock. Then the earth somehow makes a triangle or a square around the sun every few years, as it tips around a little. Don't just laugh at me, I'm serious. Thanks for letting me bounce this theory off of you. Aleister 23:00 24-2-'11

I'm pretty sure you're right, except the sun isn't yellow it's black but it's so far away that the intense brightness seems a fainter colour. Also, the Earth, the Sun and the Moon are all different sizes but look the same size when they're in the sky, because the distances are perfect. But one day the Earth will hatch and a baby space whale will emerge from the shell. --Black Flamingo 23:07, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia is Funny

I couldn't stop laughing at this article. Guess I'm a bad person.. Any thoughts on Kanu by the way? I was thinking the rest of the article could be about the decision to do an article on Kanu in the 1st place and how maybe it wasn't such a good idea given your lack of interest in football and my inability to stop going off on Dave Benson-Philips based tangents that are then impossible to tie back into the article.. phewThe preceding unsigned comment was added by JelloMold (talk • contribs)

That's an odd article to be laughing at IMO. Also you should sign posts on talk pages with four tildes (~ these things). Jackofspades (talk) 03:51, February 25, 2011 (UTC)
