Zerg Rush was then name of a computer game developed in 2141. The game is noted for it's notorious varying degrees of difficulty. The game was written in ActionScript, however it's programming is based off of the legendary action-adventure game Alone in the Dark. This was mainly due to the fact the developers wanted the game not to take up much memory, as Aitd only took up 10 pages, and Zerg Rush only takes up 4 pages.

edit Gameplay

The gameplay is simple, yet devious. In it, the participants position and maneuver units and structures under their control to secure areas of the map and/or destroy their opponents' assets. In Hard mode, it is possible to create additional units and structures during the course of a game. This is generally limited by a requirement to expand accumulated resources. These resources are in turn garnered by controlling special points on the map and/or possessing certain types of units and structures devoted to this purpose. More specifically, a typical play-through features resource gathering, base building, in-game technological development and indirect control of units.

edit Reviews

The game received 16/20 on Pee Review, 83% on Gamerankings and 94% on Metacritic. The game was criticised due to the fact it used the ".swf" format, which was highly outdated by the time of it's 2142 Home-computer release. The arcade version sometimes suffered Error code "4ERROR" due to the unstable conversion to Microchips.
