# Uncyclopedia talk:Aristocrat's Turkey Day Ball

## editFrom main

Entry must be in your userspace. --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 22:01, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Where does it say that? -- 22:13, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
"As with the PLS competition, compose your work in your user space and submit below the relevant category sections." I think. I could be wrong. FUCK. I DON'T KNOW! I JUST WORK HERE! --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 22:15, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Dude, calm down. I obviously missed that bit. So can I just copy it to userspace or do I have to come up with something totally new? -- 22:22, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Sorry about that. I'd say you can just copy it to your userspace. The UnNews story should probably be deleted though, so just submit it to the QVFD (note why it should be deleted) and copy the content to your userspace. --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 22:29, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

OK, will do. -- 22:35, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

• I think your supposed to make a new article for the competition, not enter article that you wrote over a month ago. While this isn't spelled out in the rules, I think its implied. -- 22:42, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Ah. I just noticed the said article was written over a month ago. --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 22:59, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Well if I'd known about this at the time I would have waited. I can't just write something else on demand - I need to be inspired or it ends up like this. -- 23:06, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
That's what they all say. You don't see me linking all the crappy pages I made in 2005. Mostly because they've been deleted. -- 01:58, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Well it was made somewhat recently. If you think I shouldn't enter it I won't because I respect your opinion...*Snigger*...sorry I couldn't say that with a straight face. But still: if you think I shouldn't enter it I won't. I don't want to be the sad guy exploiting the loophole. -- 22:03, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Its not a loophole; its an understanding among contributors to such competitions, just like PLS. For loophole exploitation, see Zombiebaron. However its not my section of the competition, so its up to those judges whether or not to accept it. --THINKER 23:43, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm gonna withdraw it. -- 22:23, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

## editBall Extension?

Seriously, no one is going to get entries in with 1 week's time. Maybe we could extend the competition a bit? I'm thinking 2-3 weeks total. --THINKER 03:14, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey, don't you touch my balls! I'm not just some cheap slut, you know! Take me somewhere nice, then we'll see. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 03:18, Nov 25
I would agree with you, but bring it up with Mhaille. After all, she's running this thing. I think. FUCK. I DON'T KNOW! I JUST WORK HERE! --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 03:23, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Psh, Mhaille is master and commander, but the party was my idea (I was planning on personally sponsoring the Aristocrats competition, but idk what happened with that). I opened it here to allow for others input, lest I just change it myself. ;) --THINKER 03:26, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Then I might want to ask you this: how much am I getting paid? --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 03:27, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
You're a has-been. If it wasn't for todays feature I'd nom you for ZOTM ;) HA! --THINKER 03:31, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
What?! I'm the greatest! THE GREATEST! Gah! My hip! --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 03:32, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

My balls are now twice as large. --
(Cue AC/DC's Big Balls) -- TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 22:39, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Actually, even if Mhaille's balls are twice as large, they're still pretty small. --Hotadmin4u69 [TALK] 22:41, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but if it's a doubling of diameter, then that leads to an eight-fold increase in volume. See, if you put it that way they sound enorm...suddenly, I've lost my appetite. Permanently. 22:47, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Appetite for balls? - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 22:59, Nov 25

## edit Where to review

I notice a few entries are up already and I just wondered where abouts I should post the reviews. Thanks :) Nov 27, 17:58

What reviews? --
"The 3-person judging panel shall individually score each entry using a specified 1-to-10 scoring template not unlike the one used for Pee Review." I just had the thought that this is all probably done when all the entries are in...I'm probably right as well. Common sense plz Bonner. Kthxbai Nov 27, 18:45
Hmmmmmm....a cunning plan, and no mistake. --
User:Bonner/How The Zombiebaron Stole Chirstmas should probably work just fine. And nobody will suspect that its just an article about my love of pancakes. -- 23:49, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

## edit Suggestion

In the future, could you list the rules in the actual contest, and not direct people to the talk page to see the rules you made up on the fly? 18:42, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Who's making what up on the fly? --
Fixed. --THINKER 03:32, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
My comment wasn't actually meant to be taken seriously ._. 18:03, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Well since its not the first time the issues was raised here, I think the blurb is warranted. No worries mate. --THINKER 18:12, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

## editThe recluse is on the loose

Since I have been in my cave of solitude for my sins against Zombiebaron, I have not the faitest clue as to how and where we are to vote. Could someone send me a link or a missive so I can do this dirty deed when the time comes? Hugs! Dame  01:06, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry. Out and about yesterday, I'll be contacting all the judges later today with the details. --
/me waits patiently, twiddling thumbs. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 03:43, Dec 8

Could the judges use the following templates in your userspace to work out the scores, using the one for their category. Once you have the list we need a top five places, giving 5 points to the winner, 4 to the runner up, 3 to the third place and so on. Once we have all the judges results in we'll add them all together then its tea and crumpets for everyone. --

## editMain page thingy

Shouldn't the template on the main page be changed to say the competition is now closed for judging? -- 19:22, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

But that would spoil the illusion. Dame  00:06, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
I had a crockpot full of illusion "go over" on a road trip once. Nothing smells as bad as spoiled illusion. Blech! 00:14, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Still hot for me. aren't you. Dame  01:09, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Obviously. Sorry about ruining your picnic...at least you got to ride in an ambulance, eh? 01:14, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

## edit I forgotted to remove the WIP template!

I'm not complaining, it was my fault, I just had to get that off my chest. Well, I suppose Madeleine McAnne is a work in progress in a way... $e^{i \pi} +1 = 0 \,$ ~ |DoS|Did|Yak|

## edit It's over!

• ...and is no longer on the Main Page. Therefore, feel free to move any submissions into the mainspace. And someone's gonna have to hand out the awards. Yeah, I'm buckets of help, I know. -- 02:01, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
• Should users who wish to make their Aristocrats entries public add them as subpages to the main article? (Of course I'm not asking you ZB, as we've already established that you're as useful as a horse. Like, a dead one I mean. Not one that actually is useful.) --THINKER 04:34, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
How about an Undead one? That's flogged. Just the way he likes. The awards are already handed out....and just in time for xmas. But remember....the real winner was Uncyc. And those other three guys. --
No runner up awards, as I thought were promised? :( -- TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 20:12, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

## edit Entry

I'd like to enter this:

• Section: Best Bad Taste Article
• Entry: The Rabbit
• Comment: Some boys will go a long way for revenge

Can't do it myself, because I'm still not autoconfirmed. Thanks! Jacjohncoles 18:54, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but the rules of the competition clearly state: "Again, just like PLS, any works entered in this competition must be original.". This joke can be found here (dated 10-03-2004) and here (dated 1st November 2007), as well as many other places on the internet, I suspect. Also, I've heard it in real life too. Existing jokes are not eligible for entry into this competition, but feel free to submit any wholly original works you come up with. Thanks. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 19:30, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, I guess it's one of those jokes that has millions of variations then. I did adapt it from an existing joke, but changed the story and idea significantly. Seems that the variation already existed though. :/. Jacjohncoles 19:43, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

## edit We should put the Aristocrats jokes somewhere

Last year, we had some very good aristocrats jokes entered. Since the competition, however, most of them have languished in the writers' userspaces, never to be read again. I suggest we do something with them. Perhaps, we could create Uncyclopedia:The Aristocrats and present all the jokes in one place, making the page our version of the film? -- 13:15, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

I totally think a page listing all our most offensive articles might be a good idea. Not a category or anything like that, but just a list on a page somewhere. I can see that being useful for various reasons... MrN  Fork you! 23:34, Dec 8
I added a list to The Aristocrats in the meantime. 13:40, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

## editUm... Pee Review?

It does not appear to prohibit the use of Pee Review on the main page for the Aristocrats, so... I assume it's allowed right? Some people may be using it already... In addition... Um? /me looks at RAHB... MrN  Fork you! 23:34, Dec 8

Well, these rules were written a year ago by someone who is not me. Being as they don't say anywhere anything about pee review, I'm going to go ahead and say it is allowed for this year's competition. Had I noticed it before-hand, I probably would have disallowed it, but at this point if people are already using it, I don't want to have to disqualify them due to a lack of foresight on my own part. - 04:15, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
I protest! Any use of loopholes by anyone BUT me is VERBOTEN! Dame  14:29, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Alright, so I've obtained a rather nice review from my buddy Nachlader without realizing that Pee Review debate has been going on here. I apologize if anyone thinks it is unfair. However, I would make a case for Pee Review being okay, since it's available to everyone and therefore does not give anyone an unfair advantage in my opinion. However, until we've all agreed about this, I will make no further edits to my entry, since I have already received my review.  @ 15:16 Dec 9

Yes, there definitely should be something about Pee Review in the rules. Pee Review in this competition is strictly for that author's opinion: only to be asked for once the article is completed. Simply stated, you can get the review, but you cannot act upon it until after judging. One article, one author, unless its a collaboration. --THINKER 17:06, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

As well as that, even though it is a resource that's available to everyone, it's not like it's a standard. If someone gets an amazing review from somebody that makes the article totally better, and someone else just gets an average review, that's not really fair. Since it's just supposed to be your work, it should just be you. --Mr. Monkey Pant-hoot here. 01:06, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Here here. Yeah, for next year's competition I'll make sure we get a Pee Review rule written in that reflects these points. --THINKER 03:07, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Bottom line, however, is that Pee Review is still kosher for this year. I personally disagree with Mrmonkey; everyone has an equal chance of getting a good review and therefore it is a resource that is available to everyone and I believe it should be allowed. However, this is not the time for that discussion. I move to make a motion that we start a motion to resume moving this motion after we do the locomotion. After that, and after this year's competition is over, maybe we can hash this out like men.  @ 14:42 Dec 10
Agreed. It's cool for right now, but maybe we should just think about extending a blanket set of rules over all writing competitions? It'd make it easier for everyone involved. Anyway, yeah, this can wait until after the competition ends. --Mr. Monkey Pant-hoot here. 22:08, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
"a blanket set of rules over all writing competitions"
Now THAT may be the smartest idea I've heard in a while.  @ 22:18 Dec 10
What about the time I offered to wear an extra pair of pants just in-case the other pair split? I though everyone agreed THAT was the best idea we had all heard for years? MrN  Fork you! 22:26, Dec 10
This contest is riged yo! I thought for sure Led or some other person would win....I mean I read some of the "Winners" articals and it wasn't all that great in my opinion. But, That's my opinion. Well, I'm not the judge so I guess whatever.--Black Suga Baby Gurl Speak up! 01:11, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Doesn't matter what color your words are, it only matters if you've actually, erm, written shit. That's my opinion.  @ 02:48 Dec 26
Rigged? I wish I would have known that before I even attempted anything! I could have saved myself a lot of heart ache! Hugs, Dame  14:02, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Not rigged. Riged. That's one of those Spanish dances. Ole! 14:11, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

I believe that it is currently tomorrow, my good sir. Jenny? 15:35,18December,2009
And now I believe that it is currently The Day After Tomorrow, my slightly less good sir. Jenny? 03:54,19December,2009
So can I declare myself winner by default in all three categories? Pup
No, I've already taken that role. Jenny? 16:00,19December,2009

So has one judge still not showed up to judge or something? If that's the case, I say fire his ass. Jenny? 22:09,19December,2009

No. They all showed up. Then we went to The Lost Island of Castanamir (as we usually do to determine the winners), and the d20 rolled right off the table. We're trying to get it out from under the couch, but nobody's strong enough to move it. 22:14, December 19, 2009 (UTC)
Oh, well that makes sense. It's so obvious now. Jenny? 23:01,19December,2009
You use dice? How 1980's of you. Are we able to see linkage to the judging? Pup
Linkage. Hope that helps. 00:59, 20 December 2009
It did. Thank you. Pup
Don't be a dork. Of course we use dice. Each side has a little LCD screen. And a digital Spock voice calls out the number when they stop rolling. Dork. 04:35, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, so I've had a idea sitting in my sandbox for a year or two now. It's just a title and an idea. Nothing is written down. If I were to use that idea and write it, would that file under C for BIG FAT CHEATER? Or would it be ok? It's Mrthejazz... a case not yet solved. 03:06, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

I can't imagine that would be a problem. -- 03:57, November 21, 2010 (UTC)
I'd make sure that the judges on whichever category you are submitting it to are aware of this though. I wouldn't consider it a cheat, but if I looked through history and saw that the created date was a year ago I might jump to a huge conclusion.                               Puppy's talk page00:40, June 5, 2009 Sunday, 07:27, Nov 21 2010 UTC

Not going to do a damn pee review for all those, I'll think of something to score them with, and may just toss out the even numbers, or odd numbers, haven't decided yet. I'm pretty sure that would be very against the rules. - 23:19, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
Dang. 23:29, 30 November 2011
Never re-enter one of your exes man, haven't you got any pride? I know you had some good times together but it's over. -- 23:31, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
Aww man, I just wanted to experience what it felt like again. That all-consuming feeling of euphoria and release. 23:43, 30 November 2011

## editthe aristocrats

blah! I might make an image this year! --Mimo&Maxus (Talk) 13:41, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

## edit Judging page

I didn't see a link anywhere to this, so just in case anyone's looking for it, this page seems to be this year's House of Judgery. -- 15:36 December 3, 2011 (UTC)
PS: I just noticed something about a Pee Review-esque template we're supposed to use. I'm afraid I don't see a template anywhere, so I'm confused... -- 15:40 December 3, 2011 (UTC)

Don't worry too much about the template (this thing), just make some kind of attempt to explain your judgery and you'll be fine. -- 16:08, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

User:Joe9320 is the first judge to edit that page, placing the "Comics in 1940's Germany" image at #1. Featured User 00:47, December 7, 2011 (UTC)

User:Shabidoo follows suit, then User:Black flamingo11 pastes this image to #2. Featured User 04:28, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
Nice play-by-play, Madden. -- TKFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK 04:53, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
Of course, I'm an NFL fan and I'm highly anticipating the 46th Super Bowl. Anyways, User:ChiefjusticeDS reviews the article I created, Turkey Coca Cola, in a mostly positive tone, and ranks it at #3. Featured User 05:26, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
Touchdown! -- 09:54, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
That same article blusters down to #5 by User:Matt lobster, with User:PuppyOnTheRadio's Incontinence (philosophy) topping his best of list . Featured User 23:12, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
ChiefjusticeDS jumps The things your family doesn't know by User:Shabidoo up to #1. Featured User 23:16, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
User:Wilytank, User:TheSlyFox, and User:Lyrithya all rush in to get three comic Aristocrats articles atop thier lists. Featured User 02:09, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
However, it doesn't seem like User:Aleister in Chains is editing the page, and he claims to be "not a judge". 05:12, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
User:Sockpuppet of an unregistered user conquers Aleister's position, and finishes the judging process off by launching User:Thekillerfroggy/Cum Dumpster to the pole position. 04:01, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

## editJudging 2011

I made some preliminary calculations, and (I could be wrong, I'm hardly a mathematician) it looks like "Deleted Scenes" and "Mementocrats" are tied for second place. Could we give Shabidoo a third place recognition, seeing as his score is so close to the other high ranking ones? His entry is truly an honorable effort. -- 19:47 December 10, 2011 (UTC)

My quick calc puts Things your family... and Incontinence (Philosophy) as tied first on bad taste article, and Cum Dumpster as third. This would mean Shabby's efforts will still be applauded, albeit in a different category. (Although I still think they got the judging wrong - Shabby's work was definitely superior to mine.) Did I fix it accordingly? 11:56, 11 December 2011
Perfect! Pup 11:59 11 Dec '11
My calculations show that my entry made fourth place in the image category, despite the fact that it didn't exist. -- 13:02, December 11, 2011 (UTC)
SPIKE's entry made fifth place, and it existed even less than yours. 14:25, 11 December 2011
Hence it being one place below mine. Nice try SPIKE, but you've got to get the right level of nonexistence. Better luck next time. -- 10:12, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
Haaaaaaaahahahaha. That was my first good laugh of the day BF! One needs that on a Monday morning. -- 12:05, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

## editNitpicking

Shouldn't the apostrophe be behind the s? 10:51, 12 February 2012

Only if you assume it's about The Aristocrats (plural, proper noun) which is the name of the joke, yes. If it was about the aristocrat (singular, common noun), being an unnamed individual of stature, then no. Given that it's unlikely that such a basic grammatical error would be in the title of one of our most prestigious awards, then logic follows the second interpretation is correct. Pup 11:38 12 Feb '12
Actually, given there is no article, it could potentially be an aristocrat. Pup 11:39 12 Feb '12

## editDo we have a list somewhere with the articles that won awards in this contest?

And if not, shouldn't we have one? 20:06, 2 January 2013

Exactly, I was going to look later today. The winners should all be featured now, if they're still alive. Aleister minutes later after Socky
