Rules and procedures:

  1. If you're too lazy to read the deletion policy, please, at least, carefully read this list of rules.
    1. But seriously, read the deletion policy.
    2. Do not put anything up for VFD that is not appropriate for VFD.
    3. Abusers of the policy will be abused by the claw end of a hammer. You have been warned.
  2. If you have an article that meets the criteria for VFD:
    1. Check the revision history of the page. It may have been vandalised, or just badly edited over a long period of time. If so, find a better version and revert the article. It may not be suitable for deletion.
    2. Add {{vfd}} to the article in question. Failure to do so will invalidate the vote.
    3. Provide an initial vote (see below) and include a comment as to why you have placed the article on VFD.
  3. If you are here to vote on the deletion/salvation of articles:
    1. Thank you.
    2. No really, thank you.
    3. Edit the section for the article you are addressing.
    4. Pick a space under the appropriate heading (Keep, Delete, Comment), add your sig/comment preceded with a #
      1. # - Creates a numbered bullet for your entry and makes sure that things are formatted correctly (do not put a space before the #).
      2. Comment - If you care to, leave a comment, even if it is as short as "The article is not at all funny". Votes without comments are less useful in analyzing the quality of an article.
      3. --~~~~ - Sign and timestamp your vote. Unsigned votes will be removed without prejudice.
  4. Do not revert edits of the administrators.
  5. If an article survives VFD, do not resubmit it for at least 1 month or you will get a bollocking.
  6. If you are neither an Administrator nor a designated Poopsmith, do not remove anything from VFD; doing so will get you banned for a very long time.

Pages for Deletion

Make sure that you have read the rules (above) and the deletion policy. Please don't nominate Main Page or Votes for Deletion; that joke has been done so many times we might just beat you with a nail bat before we tear our hair out in frustration. This also applies to Featured Articles and Uncyclopedia In-Jokes.

How to quickly find VFDable articles (using special pages):

Notes for Administrators:

  • Allow at least 24 hours before closing a nomination or deleting an article.
  • Remember to delete any unused images from deleted articles and, if necessary, check what links to the article and remove any backlinks. Make sure to delete any broken redirects created as well.
  • To avoid confusion, try to remove closed nominations which cause the page to exceed to 20 articles.
  • If a nomination is kept, please add {{Oldvfd}} to the article's talk page.

To add an article, edit this section, and follow the directions in the comments.

Don't flood VFD full of articles, or at least leave a space between your nominations.

If you increase the number of articles on VFD to over 20, you will be blocked for 1 day, no exceptions. This means do not increase the number of active votes on VFD to over twenty. Inactive votes are shown with either a red link (where they have been deleted), or with the 🔒 Closed nomination H T D Oldvfd Archive tag to indicate that the article has been kept. You have been warned.

Please remember to check an article's history, in case of recent or long term vandalism, before nominating an article. Also, check the article's talk page and 'What links here' for prior nominations. If the article has been nominated before there will be a link from a VFD archive page.

  2. Symbol delete vote Delete. The author of this article was trying to be funny, but is trying harder to evangelize than amuse. The humor is along the lines of, "Everybody look at how wacky we gamers are!" Spıke Ѧ 21:07 11-Jun-13

  1. Symbol keep vote Keep. I sort of quite liked the concept, mainly that German is the last, and smallest, of the languages. I accept it's likely to be a target for vandals, but if there were some way of forcing people looking for Berlin to go through the page it'd be quite good. Sir Reverend P. Pennyfeather (fancy a chat?) CUN VFH PLS 23:06, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Symbol keep vote Keep. I see where the Reverend's coming from it is an intended spoof of the sign and in my mind it works. Perhaps more paragraphs could be added like the history of the sign but at the moment it stands as one of those non-encyclopedic ones that can be accepted because as they are funny. Perhaps it some of the languages the words could actually read phrases that are stereotypical of that country's way of speaking or are that country's stereotype of Americans. For example as a joke add a British English language translation and an Aussie one. The joke works for people who know what Checkpoint Charlie is and a helpful wikipedia template has been provided by author. I do not think the picture is needed but instead a photoshopped version in which the writing on the page is put onto with the picture filling up the page. I will attempt to rewrite how I think the article could look better in my user space however for the moment it is funny. 1. Symbol delete vote Delete. It seems that, at one time, to reach the Uncyclopedia article Berlin, you had to pass through Checkpoint Charlie. This is no longer true. (There is no Checkpoint Charlie any more, nor East Berlin, nor East Berlin). All that is left is the same phrase translated into various languages including Cherokee. If there is clandestine humor, English speakers will never know. Spıke Ѧ 22:13 10-Jun-13

Anna Karenina

  1. Symbol keep vote Keep. The concept--novel as interactive book--is passable. Leo Tolstoy becomes Leo Gameboy and the fact that every assertion becomes conditional (depending on choices the reader made "on page 22") is a good running joke. Nominator (who, like me, prefers humor that revolves around the truth) is too bothered by factual errors such as "in Soviet Russia in the late 1700s." There was no need to tell that lie, but neither does it ruin the humor. Do create a proposed replacement article--before deleting or renaming the current one. Spıke Ѧ 21:43 3-Jun-13

  1. Symbol delete vote Delete. I think the concept is very bad although some jokes are successful. To save them, I will move the most funny ones to the new article about the real book, which I will try to create soon. Anton (talk) 09:46, June 1, 2013 (UTC)
  • Nominator once again unilaterally deprecates "Anna Karenina" by renaming it "Anna Karenina (gamebook)" to clear the way for a different article that he has not yet begun to write, and which maybe will be better than the original, and maybe not. I have undone the move. Spıke Ѧ 22:20 1-Jun-13
  • I am afraid I do have bad luck in this forum. Well, the only choice I have now is to write about Anna Karenina myself. Anton (talk) 12:08, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

Russian Czar

Elapsed Time: 25617 hours
Keep (1)
  1. Symbol keep vote Keep. The reason why I did not put this article on VFD but just redirected it to another page is because I don't think this article is worth deleting and the new name is more suitable. Russian Czar is a comedy trio consisting of Tsar (???) and two other national stereotypes? Well, if Anna Pavlova is a mass-killer, than this one is actually worth VFH. Isn't it a specific type of humor? Of course, people who expect an article about Russian Czars, will be surprised to see this and this is why I have renamed it. The word Tsar (Czar) spelled differently is can also be a joke. All in all, I don't think the article is very bad, but even if it is, then it should not be deleted but improved.

P.S.: If you want something about real Russian tsars, I will begin working on it, as soon as I sort out everything connected to Napoleonic wars, Brittany and Anna Pavlova. Anton (talk) 18:57, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

  1. Symbol delete vote Delete. Czar, you see, is a comedy trio consisting of Tsar (???) and two other national stereotypes. The article trafficks in stereotypes and ends up with history-of-the-future. Unfunny. Spıke Ѧ 19:08 29-May-13
  2. Symbol delete vote Delete. KKK? Just why? Tsar is spelt 3 different ways in this article (maybe the American way as I gather by Spike's above comment). In standard English "Tsar" is the English name for the Russian ruler. Czar is according to wikipedia (so not too trusty): "an informal title for certain high-level officials in the United States and United Kingdom." I am guessing that it is another English dialect's way of spelling Tsar possibly American. Spelling it Tzar is probably just a made up word joking about the fact Tsar can be spelt many different ways but not a funny joke. Seperately do we have a page on the actual Russian Tsar, as if we do then I think Anton was right in renaming it to show that we are talking about the English comedy group "The Russian Czar" (I have never heard of it and it is possibly made up). 3. Symbol delete vote Delete. Terrible. Scott, both Tsar and Czar are equally acceptable, as they are transliterations from a language with a different alphabet, so there isn't a "correct" spelling, so long as you make the right sounds when speaking it. Using it as a government title is just stupid self-aggrandisement by useless, overpaid sods who can offer no proper contribution to society other than the collective pleasure of the nation on their eventual death. Twats. Sir Reverend P. Pennyfeather (fancy a chat?) CUN VFH PLS 23:27, May 29, 2013 (UTC)
Tsar is a translation from a language with a different alphabet but so are many things in English. "Tsar" is the Standard English spelling however I am not annoyed about that. I am annoyed it was spelt three different ways in this article instead of one making the article look unencyclopedic and badly written. • The joke, I guess, is the supposed fear that elephants have of mice. This article does nothing with that; instead it makes the bold but inexplicable assertion that they have the same genome--then drags us through pseudo-intellectualism, competing theories, and the usual old 'shoops. But the topic strikes me as fixable, and the reader might like to see something at this address, if done decently. Spıke Ѧ 19:02 28-May-13
What's interesting about that old wives tale is that if you watch video of an elephant avoiding a mouse it's obvious that they aren't afraid of it, they just don't want to step on it and kill it. True. Aleister June something
  • Needs to be improved and I'm afraid I don't have the time at the moment. All ready rewriting other articles. Sir ScottPat (talk) White Ensign Scotland Flag 1 Compassrose VFH UnS NotM WotM WotY 20:27, May 30, 2013 (UTC)
