del log

The goal here is to improve the quality of Uncyclopedia, not to win a vote. You can edit a page during a vote. You can flip your vote if the page improves or if other voters convince you.

To nominate a page for deletion
  • Read these rules and the deletion policy.
  • Do not increase the number of active nominations on VFD to over 20, as a 1 day ban often offends. (Inactive votes, which are grayed out, don't count in the limit of 20.)
  • Please check an article's history before nominating it. If there has been vandalism, revert it to the best past version. Also, check the article's talk page to see if it is in Category:Deletion Survivor. If so, Special:WhatLinksHere will find the relevant VFD archive(s); read about how the previous vote(s) went.
  • Add {{VFD}} to the article in question. Failure to do so will invalidate the vote.
  • If an article survives VFD, do not resubmit it for at least 1 month.

Add a new article here

How to quickly find VFDable articles (using special pages)

To vote to delete or keep an article
  • Edit the section for the article in question.
  • To vote, start a new line at the end of the delete= or keep= section, beginning with #. This creates a numbered entry. Do not put a space before #. Increment the delnumber or keepnumber, whichever applies.
    • To post brief indented replies to a vote, start lines with #: with one or more colons; anything else breaks the numbered list.
  • To type a comment, start a new line at the end of the comments= section, beginning with * (as comments need not be numbered).
  • Votes with an explanation, and comments, are more helpful in analyzing the quality of an article.
  • ~~~~ - Sign and timestamp your vote. Unsigned votes will be removed without prejudice.

Do not delete any content without authorization. To change a vote, strike your old one and add a new one. Do not change other users' posts. At least 24 hours must pass before a nomination is closed or an article is deleted.

  • Wacky Wiki War! I deleted the dumb lists of memes, but that doesn't leave much. Intro tries to morph Wikipedia into a movie in the right way: by misusing actual Wikipedia catch-phrases. Unfortunately, it doesn't use them in a way that has any special meaning. That would be clever. It seems there are two sequels? Together, would they make one good article? Spıke ¬ 11:44 20-Oct-13

  1. Symbol delete vote Delete. Wilford Brimley is one of the minor memes on the website, and this article is for people who wanted him to be a religion — without doing the least to cleverly show how the real Brimley might resemble a religion. Even the "Holy Document" in the style of Brimley himself swings-and-misses at comedy. Spıke ¬ 10:27 21-Oct-13

  • First read through put it on the borderline. Second read through and it's a weak attempt. Just not funny enough to warrant it's inclusion as a non-encyclopaedic article, and it doesn't quite fit into any other namespace. A decent rewrite and it could become a “HowTo:Borrow five bucks”, or maybe “UnScripts:That guy you once knew”.                               Puppy's talk page07:21 29 Oct 2013

  2. Symbol delete vote Delete. Absurdly long anything is now a trite old joke. Using <math> to write 6 in the most complicated way possible, and then repeating it 22 times, is just self-congratulation. 3. Symbol delete vote Delete. Completely disagree with the above rationales. The wacky religion angle is a good way to work with a very limited topic. What kills this is lack of cohesive nonsense - random humour works best when there is an inherit illogical logic, like a Douglas Adams book. Add to that poor spelling, grammar, formatting, and lack of images. Something more like crossbow would work - this doesn't.                               Puppy's talk page07:27 29 Oct 2013

  1. Symbol delete vote Delete. Rather old and has not been improved on since several months ago. There is some concept but this is probably the same one as of HowTo:Write An Article That Stands No Chance Of Featuring On Uncyclopedia and maybe HowTo:Write an average Uncyclopedia article, but with the worse prose, less worked out structure and a title that is not justified (the author does not even talk about writing HowTos, he comes back to it but is still always off-topic). For those who may say that it still has some humour, I provided the above two links: these two articles serve for the same purpose but are funnier.
