#Delete Unfunny article. Heavily references politician Nigel Farage despite no visible links between him and the city, and contains little in the way of humour related to the place itself. Certainly no better than the numerous deleted incarnations of the page that have preceded it. -- 23:27, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

#Delete It seems that, at one time, to reach the Uncyclopedia article Berlin, you had to pass through Checkpoint Charlie. This is no longer true. (There is no Checkpoint Charlie any more, nor East Berlin, nor East Berlin). All that is left is the same phrase translated into various languages including Cherokee. If there is clandestine humor, English speakers will never know. 22:13 10-Jun-13

#Keep The reason why I did not put this article on VFD but just redirected it to another page is because I don't think this article is worth deleting and the new name is more suitable. Russian Czar is a comedy trio consisting of Tsar (???) and two other national stereotypes? Well, if Anna Pavlova is a mass-killer, than this one is actually worth VFH. Isn't it a specific type of humor? Of course, people who expect an article about Russian Czars, will be surprised to see this and this is why I have renamed it. The word Tsar (Czar) spelled differently is can also be a joke. All in all, I don't think the article is very bad, but even if it is, then it should not be deleted but improved.

:P.S.: If you want something about real Russian tsars, I will begin working on it, as soon as I sort out everything connected to Napoleonic wars, Brittany and Anna Pavlova. 18:57, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

#Delete Czar, you see, is a comedy trio consisting of Tsar (???) and two other national stereotypes. The article trafficks in stereotypes and ends up with history-of-the-future. Unfunny. 19:08 29-May-13

#Delete KKK? Just why? Tsar is spelt 3 different ways in this article (maybe the American way as I gather by Spike's above comment). In standard English "Tsar" is the English name for the Russian ruler. Czar is according to wikipedia (so not too trusty): "an informal title for certain high-level officials in the United States and United Kingdom." I am guessing that it is another English dialect's way of spelling Tsar possibly American. Spelling it Tzar is probably just a made up word joking about the fact Tsar can be spelt many different ways but not a funny joke. Seperately do we have a page on the actual Russian Tsar, as if we do then I think Anton was right in renaming it to show that we are talking about the English comedy group "The Russian Czar" (I have never heard of it and it is possibly made up). 19:28, May 29, 2013 (UTC)

#Delete Terrible. Scott, both Tsar and Czar are equally acceptable, as they are transliterations from a language with a different alphabet, so there isn't a "correct" spelling, so long as you make the right sounds when speaking it. Using it as a government title is just stupid self-aggrandisement by useless, overpaid sods who can offer no proper contribution to society other than the collective pleasure of the nation on their eventual death. Twats. 23:27, May 29, 2013 (UTC)

#:Tsar is a translation from a language with a different alphabet but so are many things in English. "Tsar" is the Standard English spelling however I am not annoyed about that. I am annoyed it was spelt three different ways in this article instead of one making the article look unencyclopedic and badly written. 06:21, May 30, 2013 (UTC)

Rules and procedures:

  1. If you're too lazy to read the deletion policy, please, at least, carefully read this list of rules.
    1. But seriously, read the deletion policy.
    2. Do not put anything up for VFD that is not appropriate for VFD.
    3. Abusers of the policy will be abused by the claw end of a hammer. You have been warned.
  2. If you have an article that meets the criteria for VFD:
    1. Check the revision history of the page. It may have been vandalised, or just badly edited over a long period of time. If so, find a better version and revert the article. It may not be suitable for deletion.
    2. Add vfd to the article in question. Failure to do so will invalidate the vote.
    3. Provide an initial vote (see below) and include a comment as to why you have placed the article on VFD.
  3. If you are here to vote on the deletion/salvation of articles:
    1. Thank you.
    2. No really, thank you.
    3. Edit the section for the article you are addressing.
    4. Pick a space under the appropriate heading (Keep, Delete, Comment), add your sig/comment preceded with a #
      1. # - Creates a numbered bullet for your entry and makes sure that things are formatted correctly (do not put a space before the #).
      2. Comment - If you care to, leave a comment, even if it is as short as "The article is not at all funny". Votes without comments are less useful in analyzing the quality of an article.
      3. --~~~~ - Sign and timestamp your vote. Unsigned votes will be removed without prejudice.
  4. Do not revert edits of the administrators.
  5. If an article survives VFD, do not resubmit it for at least 1 month or you will get a bollocking.
  6. If you are neither an Administrator nor a designated Poopsmith, do not remove anything from VFD; doing so will get you banned for a very long time.

Pages for Deletion

Zombiebaronvs.Braydie

Make sure that you have read the rules (above) and the deletion policy. Please don't nominate Main Page or Votes for Deletion; that joke has been done so many times we might just beat you with a nail bat before we tear our hair out in frustration. This also applies to Featured Articles and Uncyclopedia In-Jokes.

How to quickly find VFDable articles (using special pages):

Notes for Administrators:

  • Allow at least 24 hours before closing a nomination or deleting an article.
  • Remember to delete any unused images from deleted articles and, if necessary, check what links to the article and remove any backlinks. Make sure to delete any broken redirects created as well.
  • To avoid confusion, try to remove closed nominations which cause the page to exceed to 20 articles.
  • If a nomination is kept, please add Oldvfd to the article's talk page.

To add an article, edit this section, and follow the directions in the comments.

Don't flood VFD full of articles, or at least leave a space between your nominations.

If you increase the number of articles on VFD to over 20, you will be blocked for 1 day, no exceptions. This means do not increase the number of active votes on VFD to over twenty. Inactive votes are shown with either a red link (where they have been deleted), or with the 🔒 Closed nomination H T D Oldvfd Archive tag to indicate that the article has been kept. You have been warned.

Please remember to check an article's history, in case of recent or long term vandalism, before nominating an article. Also, check the article's talk page and 'What links here' for prior nominations. If the article has been nominated before there will be a link from a VFD archive page.

  1. Symbol delete vote Delete. Denza and I watched Anon blank sections and we discussed this ambiguously. I claim this is not an essential article of an encyclopedia but an effort by gamers to document and inform, not to amuse, even though there is some token wackiness thrown in. Spıke ¬ 01:50 17-Jun-13

  1. Symbol keep vote Keep. To be clear, Sheffield has 6 Members of Parliament, including deputy prime minister Nick Clegg but not including Nigel Farage. Using Farage as a meme is inexplicable but might be an attempt at a running joke, and doesn't by itself disqualify the article. Topical humor is better than random humor; but the question is not whether this is the best anyone can do but whether it is truly awful. Spıke ¬ 02:26 15-Jun-13

  • Symbol neutral vote Abstain.Hmm, I think this is another salvageable article, like spam, so if it is okay, I could move it to my userspace, and work on it a bit. As much as I dislike Adventure Quest, this is a perfectly valid article topic, but the writing needs work. --The Shield of Azunai DSA510My Edits! 18:18, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

  1. Symbol keep vote Keep. I sort of quite liked the concept, mainly that German is the last, and smallest, of the languages. I accept it's likely to be a target for vandals, but if there were some way of forcing people looking for Berlin to go through the page it'd be quite good. Sir Reverend P. Pennyfeather (fancy a chat?) CUN VFH PLS 23:06, June 10, 2013 (UTC)
  2. Symbol keep vote Keep. I see where the Reverend's coming from it is an intended spoof of the sign and in my mind it works. Perhaps more paragraphs could be added like the history of the sign but at the moment it stands as one of those non-encyclopedic ones that can be accepted because as they are funny. Perhaps it some of the languages the words could actually read phrases that are stereotypical of that country's way of speaking or are that country's stereotype of Americans. For example as a joke add a British English language translation and an Aussie one. The joke works for people who know what Checkpoint Charlie is and a helpful wikipedia template has been provided by author. I do not think the picture is needed but instead a photoshopped version in which the writing on the page is put onto with the picture filling up the page. I will attempt to rewrite how I think the article could look better in my user space however for the moment it is funny.
