#<s>Delete Pen Island (Penis land) should be a fun article full of double entendres that feint toward but never touch the organ. What we have is increasingly dumb digressions by kids who are giddy about writing penis jokes to strangers. When you get to the end you realize that none of it is an original comedy creation but yet another Uncyclopedia article that derives all its humor from a pre-existing meme with its own (several) websites. <small>14:11 27-Mar-13</small></s> Withdrawn. <small>20:35 28-Mar-13</small>

*The illustrations here should be kept, but very little of the text has merit. Various IP's have made poor additions to this article that should be reverted. 14:44, March 27, 2013 (UTC)

*:I've reverted the article and done a heavy copy-edit. The initial photo, according to the summary by TheLedBalloon, seems to have been lifted from one of those other websites; the aerial photo is used at Penis and many other places; the mushrooms are also used in a page in Puppy's userspace; the chimpanzee photo was a casualty, as it never related to this article, as most of the former text didn't either. <small>23:37 27-Mar-13</small>

#Delete Okay, so the joke is, since World War II was a "duplicate war" (of World War I) (only it wasn't except in the eyes of a grade-schooler who has two more years before taking a course on World History) (or was it a duplicate Stephen Spielberg movie?) create an Uncyclopedia article "in the style of the thing it's about" by creating an arbitrary number of copies. *Looking at one thing then being drawn into another... subtle mind control is hinted at in the piece but not expanded. There must be potential for a bit of light-conspiracy based, cloak-and-dagger fun if it can be made to work. Have Wikipedia not inadvertently created a new world of secrecy and psycological manipulation with their rediredt concept? Paper/real life redirects, don't Government and the media do it all the time? Parent or child redirects, marketing, relationships, at the office. Happy to have this put in my userspace for a rainy day.--EStop (talk) 09:02, July 16, 2015 (UTC)

*This isn't a rage-quite. This isn't a quit at all, actually. You might have noticed that I am not removing any of the articles listed on my userpage. These ones come from the list of my articles I wanted to work on, because they were either incomplete or unfunny, and for these two I thought there wasn't much worth saving.

*EStop, thanks for the concepts! I'd feel guilty if I forced you to help save this piece (because it is entirely my fault that it it is the way it is), but you gave me ideas and so I'll be rewriting it probably, so if you feel inspired, feel free to have as much fun with it, as you want! 15:00, July 16, 2015 (UTC)

#Keep I disagree with EpicWinner's assessment of King Harkinian's character. While it is true that in games he is restricted to a minor role in some forgettable CD-i games, he has gone on to become famous in the YouTube Poop community, where he has far more significance. People will see him in many classic video remixes and want to look him up. del log

The goal here is to improve the quality of Uncyclopedia, not to win a vote. You can edit a page during a vote. You can flip your vote if the page improves or if other voters convince you.

To nominate a page for deletion
  • Read these rules and the deletion policy.
  • Do not increase the number of active nominations on VFD to over 20, as a 1 day ban often offends. (Inactive votes, which are grayed out, don't count in the limit of 20.)
  • Please check an article's history before nominating it. If there has been vandalism, revert it to the best past version. Also, check the article's talk page to see if it is in Category:Deletion Survivor. If so, Special:WhatLinksHere will find the relevant VFD archive(s); read about how the previous vote(s) went.
  • Add VFD to the article in question. Failure to do so will invalidate the vote.
  • If an article survives VFD, do not resubmit it for at least 1 month.

Add a new article here

How to quickly find VFDable articles (using special pages)

To vote to delete or keep an article
  • Edit the section for the article in question.
  • To vote, start a new line at the end of the delete= or keep= section, beginning with #. This creates a numbered entry. Do not put a space before #. Increment the delnumber or keepnumber, whichever applies.
    • To post brief indented replies to a vote, start lines with #: with one or more colons; anything else breaks the numbered list.
  • To type a comment, start a new line at the end of the comments= section, beginning with * (as comments need not be numbered).
  • Votes with an explanation, and comments, are more helpful in analyzing the quality of an article.
  • ~~~~ - Sign and timestamp your vote. Unsigned votes will be removed without prejudice.

Do not delete any content without authorization. To change a vote, strike your old one and add a new one. Do not change other users' posts. At least 24 hours must pass before a nomination is closed or an article is deleted.

  • This isn't a rage-quite. This isn't a quit at all, actually. You might have noticed that I am not removing any of the articles listed on my userpage. These ones come from the list of my articles I wanted to work on, because they were either incomplete or unfunny, and for these two I thought there wasn't much worth saving.
  • EStop, thanks for the concepts! I'd feel guilty if I forced you to help save this piece (because it is entirely my fault that it it is the way it is), but you gave me ideas and so I'll be rewriting it probably, so if you feel inspired, feel free to have as much fun with it, as you want! 1. Symbol keep vote Keep. SuicideGirls seems to be a website of soft-core porno revolving around emo chicks. Blurring it with the markup language is a brilliant concept. I copy-edited the article to clean it up. There is plenty more material at Wikipedia to work from. Keep this for the next twisted nerd to come along. Spıke Radiomicrophone04:41 22-Jul-15
  2. Symbol keep vote Keep. Have to admit, the syntax example made me chuckle. It needs work but I like the idea of coding an Emo chick. The toenail and fingernail fonts would default to black.--EStop (talk) 13:05, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

  • Renamed. Used to be Suicide Girl Markup Language, but as always, the punch line should not be the page title, but rather the term that a reader will actually look for. Spıke Radiomicrophone04:41 22-Jul-15

  2. Symbol delete vote Delete. A lot of work has gone into this 2006 contest entry. Unfortunately, the result is not a satire of anything real that a reader might look up, but an article about an archetypal (but nonexistent) heavy-metal band. Making George W. Bush the backbone of the comedy strategy is both irrelevant and obsolete. Spıke Radiomicrophone13:39 26-Jul-15

  1. Symbol delete vote Delete. The thing about characters like these is that they're one-note. The King's gimmick is that he says things like "dinner" or "mah boi" in a hammy way, nothing really more to it. I think the short descriptions on the "Characters" sections in Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon is good enough on its own.--EpicWinner (talk) 21:18, August 1, 2015 (UTC)

  1. Symbol keep vote Keep. I disagree with EpicWinner's assessment of King Harkinian's character. While it is true that in games he is restricted to a minor role in some forgettable CD-i games, he has gone on to become famous in the YouTube Poop community, where he has far more significance. People will see him in many classic video remixes and want to look him up. (On that note, the article should perhaps be edited to more accurately reflect that.)
