  • Biased (I'm the author), but I think it's funny to the millions of people who have heard of this major-label band (which Sir Cornbread has not). --Falcotron 20:13, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
  • The author seems to be working on expansion and I'd like to see what will be done with this within its thirty day stay of execution that the template gives it. Not a bad start, IMO. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 23:20, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Strong keep. I think it's a near-perfect confusion of the band and the drug users (with some very funny observations on the latter) and great pics and captions. What more do we want? I think that making it longer for length's sake would spoil it. After all, didn't someone once say that brevity is the soul of wit? There are much shorter articles around that haven't been NRVed. Not to mention great gouts of absolute garbage. And Chicks on Speed (sadly) is not an obscure band by any means. -- Sir Armando Perentie Icons-flag-au KUN FP 04:38, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Please note that Sir Cornbread is misrepresenting the history of the article, as he has some kind of inexplicable vendetta against it. Perhaps Chicks on Speed killed his parents. Please see the extensive discussion on User talk:Sir Cornbread about the article (the whole page, as Sir Cornbread has spread the discussion to other sections). And note that Spang removed both of his NRVs and threatened to ban him if he NRVd it again. --Falcotron 20:13, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Please note that I'm not misrepresenting the history in any way, and that Spang never said one single word to me about this. Also note that Falcotron is probably in this band or something, and has been bitching about this for about 2 weeks, so I finally brought it here. -- Sir C Icons-flag-us Holla | CUN 20:18, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
  • The history speaks for itself, so I won't comment on that. However, I think a quick view of [[1]] should make it obvious that this is a notable band, not some band that I'm in. --Falcotron 20:32, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Please note that I was the only contributor that but a relevant image that had to do with Chicks on Speed. See Chicks for further details.

Google 'sprite comic'. This is a parody of about 9/10 of the search results. --Hobelhouse 01:02, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

  • I get the joke, but like in the movie "Road Trip" where Kyle makes teh funnay about "because it's your dog!"... sometimes it's not whether the joke is gotten, but rather, how good is the joke really. Still, the image for the thing if fucking classic! Unless we save the image and recycle it, this article should be re-written. Also, leaving the article up may inspire a decent writer to hit the job up... Maybe I'm that writer. Hmmm... I'm off to play. • I'm sorry, I don't think that something which is essentially a carbon-copy of another thing can be legitimately referred to as a "parody" of what is being copied. There is not a shred of original humor here; it's just another example of the 9/10s of the aformentioned Google search. It's too true, and as we all know, truth has no place here. Unless some actual original comedic commentary/content can be added to this article, I feel it has no place on this site. --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 15:01, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

  • I suppose Ogopogo has a point, but the article would need to be expanded more, not have such stupid alien words and be slight more parodic (perhaps how we on Earth would see an alien rac like that. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 18:39, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
I had thought the alien words would make it more realistic, but OK, I made another edit and changed the alien words to more plain vanilla technical expressions. --Ogopogo 18:57, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but it's still not going anywhere for me. I'm afraid my vote stands, although I've deferentially toned down the vitriol spouted by my pet death machine. --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 19:02, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
I withdraw my vote now, if it doesn't get deleted I might try to rewrite it, but now I don't care either way. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 11:13, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
  • This has potential, believe me, but to make it golden Ogopogo would have to come up with a consistent, funny interpretation of the plate different from the intended message. Kokot.kokotisko 08:47, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps I shouldn't have made the reference to the now-defunct Duel Masters article, as it seems that in so doing I spawned the same sort of skewed voting on this article as was seen on DM's VFD/VFH nominations. I remind all would-be voters on this nomination that the official policy regarding "so bad they're good" articles is "There is no such thing as a good bad article." To paraphrase several admins, "Crap is crap, and should be deleted." While I thought DM was funny, it didn't pass muster according to site standards. Besides, this shit's not one quarter as unintentionally funny as DM was. --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 16:45, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

  • I should that say I didn't know it was plagiarised when I posted it. Can't be bothered explaining how, but I'm not opposed to deleting it if people don't like that. Note that French military victories is 100% plagiarism too, and seems to be acceptable. Could always try completely rewriting a similar thing from scratch, but that's still plagiarism in a way.
