Keep. I don't know if the vote of the author counts, but I think I'd better put my two cents in. First of all, the original reasons given for making this VFD were things I did on purpose, and if you read just about any other article I've written (they can be linked to on my user page) you'll see that I don't usually write like this. I was mildly influenced by the style the recently featured Teenager in which the voice of the article is a narrow-minded individual. I mean, the guy has totally misunderstood the word he is definining! "How ironic!" Rewriting this to make it sound/look more "intelligent" would totally take away the joke. Adding to it in a consistent way would be fine, but I feel strongly that this should not be deleted or rewritten. I'm glad some people did get it, anyway. --So So 16:29, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Keep - This article is 1 out of every 5 Americans I know (and probably 9 out of 10 in The South). I think with a bit of work this could be an excellent article, but personally don't see a rewrite tag as necessary; there are many less humourous and more poorly written articles than this floatin' about. Rewrite - Being European, I didn't like this article because it was too much of American Ethnocentrism, but actually, the idea of making an article on Ethnocentrism that is Ethnocentristic (is that a word...?) is quite funny (like brevity, redundancy etc.).
