HeHe. Like you could ever offend me Gerry. Impossible... Anyway, yea... I did not notice that before! Actually I did not create that image, I stole it from a post on the Bristol city fan site. Actually, I had a bit of a run in with some clown over there about this article. It was kinda funny. He was getting all passionate about his football team, and the other users of the fan site were quoting HTBFANJS at him! I know there are a good few people over at the previously mentioned site who do like the article, and it does not appear to be attracting much vandalism, so I figured it was OK. Maybe one day I might pluck up enough insparation to work on it more. The companion article for the other local team of Bristol is Bristol Rovers. I have worked on both a bit... Gerry - You can get nailed to a lamp post for supporting the wrong team. Generally few people support more than one local team. If you come from Bristol, you are normally allowed to support another "premiership" team (the good ones) as both City and Rovers are well... "Some garment worn under the trouser"... A bit of interest: the page was apparently created on Wikipedia (here) in January, 2006, by "the Duke". It was then edited by various IPs. My guess is that it was written by boys at the Auckland Grammar School. The Wickedpedia talk page says: "Someone moved it to Uncyc http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Mate_of_Origin --insertwackynamehere 02:54, 11 August 2006 (UTC)" and indeed, the page was created on Uncyc by a user named "Duke" (as his only contribution to Uncyc) and then edited by various IPs. We should take the time to improve this quite simply, it's pretty, funny. It has a humor value to it, and it deserves a little more than just a sudden delete, I think it should get a 1 week warning, or, we could discuss what to do with it. I think a week notice is good enough, if it doesn't improve by then, fine, delete it. Kowaru: You really should take the time to familiarize yourself with the deletion system around these parts. To begin with, we don't vote on what an article "could be," we vote on what an article is now. If you think it's a good idea, go ahead, copy it to your userspace, and work on it yourself. Otherwise, no one's going to do it. Also, we never give a week's notice for anything older than a week, because the original author isn't likely to be around. Even if they were, they would see the VFD template, which is more than enough of a warning; and if they want the article back all they have to do is contact an admin (nicely) and ask them (nicely) to restore it to their userspace so they can work on it.
