  1. Ok this page has been bothering me for a while. As much as I know Mr-ex777 put a lot of work into this, the style of the article is not really that funny. I mean it's just saying Bronies suck without anything all that witty contained in it. I'd also like to point out several of the images used in this article are just stolen from ED which tells me it's more or less a mirror of their article on bronies without actually trying to be satirical which is what Uncyclopedia is supposed to be about. Too much attacking bronies not enough laughs. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) Icons-flag-au 00:58, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
  2. Symbol delete vote Delete. "My Little Pony was just a show watched by 6 year old girls and retards" and Bronies is sure to be an article enhanced by 6-year-old girls and retards. If it keeps Mr-ex777 from working further on his gallery of Deviant fan-art porno and pissing Wikia off further, that is to the good. But was ED the source of the ode to "Mr. hands, the first Brony, whom [sic] died from getting raped by the cock of a horse"? Spıke ¬ 01:05 28-Dec-12

That is no part of the question. It is not the space from which the template is referenced but the space where the template lives. This template--like your "Propaganda" template we discussed yesterday, like a hypothetical template with a photo of my face on it, or like any of our signature files, belongs in one's own userspace, or else it's mainspace vanity. A bot may be able to help THS restore readability to the affected pages. Spıke ¬ 02:43 15-Dec-12

@Kamek98 To answer your question (since Dan hasn't done so yet) its mostly used in forum pages. And by the way, apparently in forum pages its against the rules to edit archived threads. Most of the forum threads Dan's posted on are archived. So, how will you deal with that if you remove the template? --Perv of the month Кıяву Тαгк Сойтяıвs 2012-12-15T05:14

  • If THSM's use of the template is problematic, that is something that should be raised and discussed directly of itself; deleting a plausibly usable template won't resolve that. Meantime, THSM, you don't own template-space templates, so if you want to apply your own rules to your own templates, keep them in your userspace. Otherwise please come up with a better reason to revert qzekrom in the future. -— Lyrithya 19:59, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
@Athyria In case you didn't notice, after I had said it I went and reverted back to Qzekrom's changes (he made it a lot cooler). I know I don't own it but I feel I have the right to edit it as I was the creator of it. What's more, I don't really edit it anymore except for when people vandalize it (like when Frosty just recently switched it to the Wingdings font, which was what prompted Spike to mark it as VFD in the first place). In other words, I know I don't own the template and I only edit it to improve it, so it doesn't belong it userspace. ~[ths] UotM Eclipse Craproll MotM BePrepared 21:08, 12/15/2012

I have a similar problem with gratuitous potty humor. However, Oscar Wilde is not only Uncyclopedia's Patron Meme but a gay pervert, and thus the perfect Wildeism is gratuitous potty humor that is not really about Oscar Wilde. In fact, Wildeisms that don't have some sort of double meaning ought to be eliminated. I'm holding off voting; don't remember the details, but I seem to recall that all the site's Wildeisms are cross-linked; I got VFD's approval two years ago to delete some component of this and found I had to undo my work. • Sorry about the timestamp deal. I just copied the template like the instructions said. Thanks for fixing it. I guess my beef with this article is that because it's "The Patron meme" it's fine, but my former article that revolved around Fire Emblem, shipping, and crude jokes about the shipping was delete after vote because it was "too crude." I just want some consistency here. LuMontyZ Was Here 17:40, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
    Consistency? Dream on! Spıke ¬ 17:42 11-Nov-12
Seriously, I try to show consistency (because it makes me more persuasive and proves that a Delete vote is not personal) but it is not required. Voters on VFD are voters, not paper-graders, and are allowed to vote any way for any reason; if they have criteria, they are allowed to have as many exceptions and special cases as to seem that there are no principles at all--though, again, that is less persuasive than consistency. Voters above all are not required to have the same criteria for what should stay and what should go. You ought not nominate something on VFD as real or perceived retaliation for the deletion of an article of yours. In addition, "too crude" might not mean vulgarity or sexual references; it might mean crude typography or facile humor, such as puns on people's names. It's conventional here to include links to what you are talking about so we can see for ourselves and perhaps give you more relevant advice. Spıke ¬ 01:01 12-Nov-12
  • I get what you mean completely. It isn't personal. In fact, if I knew that this page was the Patron Meme of this site I wouldn't have bothered. I suppose as an aspiring math teacher I've been trying to grade papers. I hope I didn't come across as petty or angry. This is the article[[1]] specifically the version before today's edit. I appreciate any feedback. LuMontyZ 04:16, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
No need to feel that you shouldn't have VFD'ed the article. Any article, no matter how hallowed, shouldn't be allowed to stick around if it is a tedious mess, like this one. Somebody should reach in there and kick just about 90% of these "quotes" out on their sorry asses, for being devoid of humor. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-usTue, Nov 13 '12 16:35 (UTC)
