There's been less emphasis on the recording aspect of UnNews and more focus on writing lately. This isn't bad, but it's had the unfortunate consequence of obseletizing the EGAoEitDoM. I've proposed we retire this aard because of its irrelevance in the past before, and now it's far less active than it was even back then, when it was still significantly inactive. It hasn't been edited since November of 2011, and even back when we (read: SPIKE) were creating recordings en masse, the result was often amateurish and hokey. I feel totally neutral about this one as I can understand it from both viewpoints, and I hope the guys who want this kept totally active will understand my judgement.... Having read what some of the "keep" voters are saying I think perhaps people thought the award might be deleted completely or maybe moved somewhere. That's not going to happen. All wiki links to this award will also stay where they are. Nothing is going to change other than the page being sysop protected and "Temporarily Suspended". But... we can open it again in the future if we have enough people to make a contest of it. Until then it's still there as an advert to encourage people to get on the mic. If you wanted this kept totally open as it was before I stuck my ugly spanner into the works I suggest you try putting forward a convincing argument in the Village Dump (which is probably where this should IMO have been discussed in the first place).
