  1. Symbol keep vote Cleaned up. (Formerly Delete.) I've pulled out the vandalism and inexplicable tangents, and strengthened the sense that the author is a drugged-out fan who thinks he sees hidden meanings in the music. (And added a photo. Yikes!!!) Everything but deleting the Discography, which anyone can do, and should. Spıke ¬ 13:29 28-Dec-10
  2. Symbol keep vote Keep. I think that this article do not deserve it. Cat the Colourful (Feed Me!!!)Leave me alone... Sleeping Cat 12:45, December 30, 2010
While restoring a little of the listcruft, Cat is apparently a fan of Armenian Metal and has helped us ridicule this band in its own accurate words. Spıke ¬ 18:17 30-Dec-10

  1. Symbol delete vote Delete. Dismal bandcruft. This article was apparently written by a 12 year old boy who cannot speak english properly. Just read through and see how many mistakes the rim-jobber made. --Count of Monkey Crisco 12:09, December 28, 2010 (UTC)
Symbol delete vote Delete. Apart from the inability to render this acronym in all capitals, the article is nothing but a list of band members--with childish cheap shots on each--and then the usual discography listcruft. But Count, trusting that you have scanned the history for a cleaner version, rather than give us an excerpt of the obvious vandalism throughout this article, why not pull it out first? Spıke ¬ 12:31 28-Dec-10
  2. Symbol delete vote Delete. Some feeble attempts at random humor are the only redeeming points of this article. Obviously, not good enough. --Scofield 13:17, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

๐Ÿ”’ Anus H T D Survivor Oldvfd

Score: -3
Keep (4)
  1. Symbol keep vote Keep. We need something under this title, and anyone who clicks on it deserves what he gets. It is random wibble, except that Section 4 (on the village of Anus, France) is excellent--because it's about something--and the article might lead with it. Predictably, Uncyclopedians spent all their time on Asshole (in the See Also list) and it wouldn't be a loss if this article redirected to that one. Spıke ¬ 12:28 28-Dec-10
Stronger Keep. The casting of Anus as a polytheistic God was in fact pulled off masterfully. I took care of the red-links and deleted some vandalism, the Anusfest, and the photo of coyote poop that tried to pull this in a different (and junior-high-school) direction. Spıke ¬ 14:00 28-Dec-10
  2. Symbol keep vote Keep. SPIKE Saves Anus!, stop the presses. Aleister 14:02 28 12
  3. Still needs work, but keepable. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 15:03, 28 December 2010
Specific as always. Try it now. Spıke ¬ 17:32 28-Dec-10
Meow? And what, exactly, has the French town have to do with the rest of it? 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 01:21, 30 December 2010
    Um, it's named Anus. Spıke ¬ 11:21 30-Dec-10
It also seems to have entirely nothing conceptually to do with the rest of it. Unless you can make the ideas flow more, have it have something to do with what you lot are insisting Anus is, I'd suggest getting rid of it. Or am I missing something? 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 14:45, 30 December 2010
Not huffable as is. Who is this SPIKE? I've seen his name around lately. Aleister 2:09 29 12
You already voted. You know that, but people keep "fixing" the count. Spıke ¬ 11:21 30-Dec-10

That was there from the beginning. The most I did is trim it down so you would see it, rather than say tl;dr and write it off. Spıke ¬ 18:40 30-Dec-10

Keep (3)
  1. Symbol keep vote Didn't she do 'Caramelldansen'? Weak keep. The "Uncyc universe" involves bending game characters to themes such as anal rape. The theme here, excess body hair, seems tame by comparison and the writing is good. Wikipedia:List of Touhou Project characters implies that RH, being from a PC-98 game, is now "obscure," but the blemishes in this article--occasional memes, a nonsense number, and lack of paragraphs and photos, could be fixed if more savvy users think it's important to have such a page. Spıke ¬ 00:13 25-Dec-10
Are you aware of any "more savvy users" in particular? If none are found within a reasonable time, isn't that an argument for userfication? --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 00:59, December 25, 2010 (UTC)
Am soliciting additional data, and not from anyone in particular. If I don't get it, it doesn't change the vote. If fans say no one plays this any more, it does undercut my vote and I'd flip. Spıke ¬ 01:09 25-Dec-10
Could you clarify from where you are "soliciting additional data"? What is the status now? --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 00:37, December 26, 2010 (UTC)
The status now is that there are two Delete votes, and my Keep vote. Spıke ¬ 00:47 26-Dec-10
The status today is that I've done a copy edit and struck out the above comment that "the writing is good." It often said the same thing in two different ways and at one point inexplicably switched to the vivid present tense. I see what you're saying; apart from the two themes of armpit hair and a female-dominated world, the still-overlong narrative will appeal only to people who actually played specific levels of the game. I weaken my Keep vote and let's see if anyone else cares. Spıke ¬ 13:26 26-Dec-10
Symbol keep vote Saved. I've added three photos--as it turns out that there is touhou.wikia.com with lots more on these characters, which settles the relevancy question to my satisfaction. And have copy-edited the whole thing; while there are still boring plot details--and I don't know which are essential--there is now commentary of general interest (at least to general males cynically contemplating an all-female fantasy world). Spıke ¬ 22:49 26-Dec-10
  2. Yeaallright. You did good. *pats SPIKE on the head* 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 23:19, 26 December 2010
Not as good as Sony became, but it's keepable. Spıke ¬ 23:30 26-Dec-10

  1. Kill it with fire bullet hell because it is too long and fancrufty/not well connected to the rest of the Uncyc universe. Note that there is already a cut-and-pasted userfied copy here, but if possible I'd like to have it userfied with the history properly preserved to the creator's userspace User:Shivers1231/Reimu Hakurei, in case someone wants to work on this further or transwiki it somewhere (Illogicopedia?). (Admittedly, the creator is no longer active.) --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 23:25, December 24, 2010 (UTC)
  2. Eh, I'm with the processor, or whatever that is, on this one - too specific and fancrufty. If it cannot even approach a wider audience in its current form, what place has it in any general encyclopedia, let alone one where humour is paramount? Sure, everyone won't get every bit of anything, but the general point shouldn't be completely lost, either. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 02:21, 25 December 2010

  • What do you mean by "Uncyc universe"? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mnbvcxz (talk • contribs)
    • It didn't really mean anything; I was just trying to explain "fancrufty" for the people who may not be familiar with the term. --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 00:59, December 25, 2010 (UTC)
  • In response to SPIKE above, my understanding is that 1) the Touhou fandom doesn't align perfectly with the set of players of Touhou games; 2) Reimu has been a playable character in all the mainline (integer-numbered) games at least; 3) Marisa might be marginally better known among people who follow the fandom but don't play the games. I could be wrong, though, since I'm not usually involved with Touhou in any way. Oh, and my request for userfication in the event of a decision to delete still stands. --Pentium5dot1 t~^_^~c 00:37, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

Problem is, it needs more than a paint job. • The beginning doesn't read like an encyclopedia. Not to mention, some of it's just plain wrong. Inaccuracy can be funny, but here it makes it come off... hells, I don't even know. My thinking was that its' route to being funny might be found in satire, which would require the original concept to be portrayed accurately (or at least for the intended audience to know it well enough for it not to matter). It reads like a sort of 'the emperor has no clothes'-category thing, but seems to have been written by someone who isn't entirely sure of the concept of what clothes might constitute. There's certainly some humour in the area, but none really raises its head in this article, and I think a future where someone is bothered enough to write about it properly will not involve this text. I For One Am Far Too Lazy To Even Think About It. For an online humour/humor repository, this is just, well, limp. As much as one can take the piss out of GNOME if one wishes, the effort of the developers deserves better. I certainly did not intend any insult to UnNews. It's even more fair and balanced than Fox. Looking at the history of the article, you can see that several people have had to force feed the author English in hopes of assisting the delivery. Probably one of the biggest problems with the article is that the author is sending the message that he is going to spell out, to an ignorant audience, exactly why his belief is right, in the most self-admittedly offensive way possible. Finally, this article is entirely unnecessary, and the idea of it could simply be placed inside one of the articles that is already dedicated to Jesus, if it isn't already in one of them. First four paragraphs are almost completely advocacy, celebrating the U.S. Senate vote with phrases like "historic," "swept the world by storm," "fell out of favor," "comes as no surprise," and of course, "homophobe." Article is not saved by the subsequent trite "He's gay"/"He's not gay" jokes. UnNews is for 19-Dec; a rewrite request to the author the next day had no effect. Spıke ¬ 21:14 21-Dec-10

  • Invalid Nom while I want give the Huffington Post back their editorial as much as anyone, I'm afraid this nomination is invalid since it the article is not yet 7 days old. I would talk to some admin about educating the author of the difference between bias and humor. I would suggest Zim_ulator, but he is not active at the moment. --Mn-z 21:49, December 21, 2010 (UTC)
  • The problem is, VFD doesn't really apply to UnNews - the stuff it quick to write and quick to pass by. By the time a week is up, most of it will have already passed into archives, forgotten. The question is, what does apply, or what measures ought to be taken with it when it does indeed prove rubbish? 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 22:08, 21 December 2010
Articles that are clearly duds, such as headlines taken from the "Minitrue" suggestion list by an Anon who can't even replace the Indian Head, I take to QVFD. Articles like this one--if I were surer that my impression of it is objective--we "mercy move" to the author's space for rework. I will do so with this one if several more people, despite the technical invalidity, confirm my impression of the article. Spıke ¬ 22:14 21-Dec-10
Eh, the first paragraph seems decent, but then it loses all newsiness... aye, advocacy. Silly, silly. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 22:22, 21 December 2010

  2. Symbol keep vote Fixed. I was preparing to vote Delete on the grounds that there is nothing in real life to make an Uncyclopedia article on the proton any different from the ones on the neutron and electron, and all should be redirected to a good article on atomic structure. Then I read it; the article has all the humor that such an article can have: not excellent humor; mostly just puns on the use of "pro"--but it does play on all that we know about the proton: that it has a positive charge. I gave it a copy edit and stole an illustration from Wikipedia. It impressed me more the closer I read it.

  3. Symbol keep vote Keep. Is a little better than a random stub about a nonexistent war written by people who don't know anything about a war; this one has a clever map (ah, for the days of Beany and Cecil, in which every episode did!) and brushes against the topics of the inability to plan a battle, the tendency to fight a war because of a set of issues that are completely different (I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy), and fixation on minor issues (the pig) that is in no one's interest. All it lacks is to change the combatants to make fun of a real-world war about which those things were true. Please add it to one of our War templates, or no one will ever stumble on this again.
