This page is where you can nominate, discuss, and vote for new Uncyclopedian awards. It used to be that awards could be created willy nilly, but as the number of Uncyclopedian awards increase, its becoming clear that a system for creating each award is necessary. If you create an award and you don't run it by here, or you do and it doesn't pass, do not fear! You may still make it a minor award and it still may be distributed to people, it will just not carry as much esteem (which as you may be able to tell is a big part of Uncyclopedia, along with seriousness and formality). Every major award however, must include the following:
A good image that isn't voted to be crappy bad
A template which doesn't break the layout of Uncyclopedia, or look really bad
A clearly defined purpose which differs in some way from another, already created/nominated award
A name and short abbreviation (usually an acronym) which doesn't conflict with any other awards
When voting for an award, the following must be decided:
What is the awards rank number?
What is the final image for the award?
What is the final template/caption for the award?
What is the awards purpose?
What is the awards name and abbreviation?
and finally
Whether you think the award should be created or not, just because
This user created [{{fullurl:{{{1}}}|redirect=no}} {{{1}}}], an article originally requested on Uncyclopedia:Requested Articles. Good for them us!
Awarded To People who have created an article from UN:REQ.
Postfix {{reqaward|Article Name}}
Nominated Some great articles have been created since its introduction four years ago. These include The Red Baron and Winfield Scott, two of my personal favorites, and I think these various writers deserve recognition for their contributions. Hopefully, this award might also encourage other editors to try taking on a request themselves.
I've made some basic maintenance templates in the past but this is my first award template. I'm still testing out some designs but this is the basic look for the template right now. I haven't really found an image which stands out but I thought I might as well put the idea out there and get some feedback. MadMax 05:18, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
In parody, or more in tribute to the Marvel Comics "No Prize" they used to give out during the 60's. Basically a picture of an empty medal box with the phrase Congratulations! You have won the Uncyclopedia No Bell Prize. We don't know why the hell you got this, but you should be damn grateful for it! Instead of an actual award that demands merit, this is, simply put, a vote for nothing that anyone can get. Nominate anyone you want and top votes gets it. It's basically just a senseless "piece of flair" to put on your profile. Much like most of Wikipedia's awards and medals. I don't do Photoshop, I'm just a writer. But I think the award should be blank, plain white, with just the text and an empty picture. --JohnQ.Public 13:50, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
This user is skilled in the arts of Imaging(the art of manipulating and uploading images), and/or Userboxing(the art of making and formatting userboxes). Either way, they have earned a big shiny award, and a free* trophy with it!
And, they also earn the covetedhighly-prized lesser-known title of UNCYCLOPEDIA ARTISIAN.
*not
{{Uncyclopedia_Artisian}}
Awarded To People who are skilled in the arts of Imaging or Userboxing(see award for details).
Nominated Because I wanted to see how it went.
Maybe the image will be changed or the template will get a different look, i'm not sure. --Trar (talk|contribs|grueslayer) 01:32, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah sure, why not. A userbox award is pretty cool, and you can make a userbox about it.--Naughty Budgie 09:37, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Aye! Perhaps, though, someone (not me) could photoshop the globe into a potato or something. To make it Uncyclopedia-ic. •••Necropaxx(T){~} 23:03, May 17
This user has made some good games, or has done something good with games. Most likely, though, the game was just way too difficult, and that's why they win the title of... PLAYER FRUSTRATOR.
'''{{Playerfrustator}}'''
Awarded to A person who has done stuff with games that has improved the games.
Nominated Because i felt like it.
I'll probably change the final image into something a bit more funnier, but the would be awarded to someone who does good stuff in the game namespace.--Naughty Budgie 03:47, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Well, i have an idea for an award that, may not sound particularly awesome, but could be good. The Player Frustrater award. Basically, It's for people who make A) Make so many Zork pages it's not funny, or B) Hasn't made that many Zork pages, but has made a few that are comedy gold. Anyone like? Naughty BudgieTalk|contribsNaughty Budgie 08:40, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Bloody marvelous! Happiness abound in readings of you. Laughing Chairman Mao giving you award from Some Random User for special contribute of funny to Uncyclopedia!!
{{HCA|Insert Your Name Here}}
Awarded to users the bestower finds amusing and who have contributed something rather funny to Uncyclopedia.
Postfix: HCA
Nominated just because. Yes, the entire award is written in Engrish. It's supposed to be.
I created this award as the sort of award anyone can give, but I would ask people to use their own judgment and give it to people who are genuinely funny. That is, if it passes the vote. Also, I think it's okay for someone to get this award multiple times. I mean, come on, nobody's only funny once. And Bar rules apply if someone gets it multiple times, I suppose. okay, i got a couple Ideas for awards, but im to lazy/unskilled to make them myself: GoldNinjaStar - remember when you were in kindergarten and got gold stars for spelling and what no? well now Uncyclopedia will fulfill your desire for shiny golden stickers! JesusfreakAward- this could be either a bablebox, or an award for people who cite Jesus in articles alot. Mensa Award- for doing something intelligent/using intelligent humor Undead of the Order of Uncyclopedia- a badge (like the MUN/KUN &c.) for Undead (like me) members of Uncyclopedia Hitler's Mustache- Awarded to people who make refrences/articles about/pictures of Hitler regularly.
Well that's all for now, I'm not really sure if this is the place for these ideas, but I hope something comes of them... --BrigadierGeneralSirZombiebaron 01:06, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
I might do that Ninjastar... --officer designateLugiatmMUNNSCMZMWH 16:24, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
How about someone makes some sort of award worn as a woggle-- that "woggle in six colour" has been on the Cub Scout Uniform image and nothing has been done to it. --CloroxMUNONS (diskussion) ☃ 23:58, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
I like the gold ninja star, and the Hitler's Moustache idea. And the MENSA award. Yeah, these are some pretty good ideas. Naughty BudgieTalk|contribs08:31, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Buy one get one free now! To be placed by admins on the top of a member's userpage. Usage is {{Huffometer|0}} where "0" represents the user warn level (1-10), so a user with a warn level of 5 would have:
Vote. NOW. --officer designateLugiatmMUNNSCMZMWH 17:51, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
I like it but it would probably be not an honor and more of just a template for a new way of handling users. maybe you should put something about this on the VD as well to show more users? I'd use it :) --Maj Sir InsertwackynamehereCUNVFHVFPBur.CMInsertwackynamehere | Talk | Rate 02:06, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
Awarded for contibutions in the field of graphic design. A cow field.
Postfix - KaKun.
Used for the criminally inept at image making. Use is {{Bleedingeyeball|Yourname}}, alternatively, it could be the Image equivalent of Useless Gobshite of the Month. Image made by MoneySign. Idea by Volte. Template by me. Nothing done by both Keitei and Mhaille. A real group project, if I may say so myself. officer designateLugiatmMUNNSCMZMWH 17:22, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Fart....I'm loving it. Apparently. -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me) 17:43, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Ford dealership - Nonymous 00:05, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Awarded in actual articles to people .. corporation. ect. whos goals are similar to ours wink wink(whatever they maybe). Could be formated better but just gagging opinion.
--Da, Y?YY?YYY?:-:CUN3NotMBLK |_LG8+::: 03:50, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
heh i really like the idea, but because of it's special use, I'm not sure it would be considered a user award. However the idea itself is great, and should be used in articles where it applies, i think. --Maj Sir InsertwackynamehereCUNVFHVFPBur.CMInsertwackynamehere | Talk 14:52, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Nomainated and for eveyone whos username has a thriced word in it.--Da, Y?YY?YYY?:-:CUN3NotMBLK |_LG8+::: 05:46, 4 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Comment. Why don't we have an award for users whose names can include a ligature? ~ Ghelæ - note Ghelæ. Ghelæ. talkcontribs 17:29, 17 April 2006 (UTC) PS - This simply shows that anyone can make an award to fit their username. I don't really want an award for that, it just goes to show...
Comment I guess this might stay unofficial. I see you and Bob3 use it, but it might not actually be useful. --Lt.CloroxMUNGoatse VirginONS (talk/fortune cookie) 00:09, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Possibly as Template:Major award (the article Major_Award is somewhat lacking content, but is funny.) Possibly could be given as an award for winning a major award. As it is a major award itself, this would be recursive. --Splaka 00:19, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Suggestions: Postnominal=MjA., Description=like FIYC but better, Rank=1, instead of {{{1}}} there could be "You helped Uncyclopedia a lot! You deserve a major award!", and maybe it could get you a Grand Cross title. --CloroxMUNONS (diskussion) ☃ 23:37, 12 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Heres an idea: Use this award for those who majorly contribute to Colonization projects. It would add an incentive. MjA would be a nice post nominal. It could give the commander rank, like featured articles, and would allow the title of sir. Afterall, they are out there colonizing for the queen arent they? ~Sir RangeleyGUNWotMUotMEGA+S (talk) 03:31, 28 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Question: Is this one always postnominal, or are there any circumstances upon which one may be commissioned to use the military-style Maj. prefix? --Carlb 21:23, 5 Jan 2006 (UTC)
Probably not because prefixes are instated for the rank you are, and not actual awards themselves--Maj Sir InsertwackynamehereCUNVFHVFPBur.CMInsertwackynamehere | Talk 14:53, 7 Jan 2006 (UTC)
this would be awarded to the users that I feel are great people. it would go like red cow award, orange cow award, yellow cow award, blue cow award, and white cow award, in increasing prestiegiousness. Don't ask me who Doug is. he's a friend that loves cows. he's not dead, but just in case he dies, well, yeah. --The.original.joe.shmoe 00:31, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
