Are you looking to join a team of enthusiastic and extremely sarcastic individuals? Do you like to feel like you are a valuable part of a "team?" Do you want an employer who considers you his slave?
If you said "I prefer not to answer" to any or all of these questions, you may be qualified to be a sysop at Uncyclopedia!
The process (all dates and times are calculated in UTC, unless someone gets lazy and is a few hours late/early)
The first 10 days of a month (1st - 10th), all users have a vote to see if we need more ops (op votes count double in this vote).†
The next 2 days (48 hours) of a month (11th and the 12th), any users can nominate users for oppage (not yourself you egotistical jerk!), butnot vote. Hold your horses there.
The next 8 days (13th - 20th) support up to three people for oppage (op votes count double in this vote).∆
The following 10 days of a month (21st - 30th), current ops take the users with at least 50% of the leader and vote on who to op. Each op gets two votes apiece (unless there are only two candidates). Stacking these votes is not allowed. In the event of a tie in this round, the candidate with more user votes than the other gets oppage.
The last day of the months with 31 days, current ops play Russian Roulette to see who gets de-opped. (Zombiebaron goes first with 6 bullets)
†: a minimum score of +7 must be attained in order to progress to the next level.
∆: if only one candidate from this round would progress to the next level, that level is canceled and the candidate is opped.
NB: The ops can change these rules at any time for any reason to help the fight against wiki-terrorism
VFS is currently open for nominations only. You cannot nominate yourself. Do not vote yet. Voting begins on the 22nd of January. See here for further details.
Nom, we might be able to get MrN9000 back, and as an Admin, now that most unpleasant people are gone.--Funnybony 14:52, Jan 21
Wasn't he already an admin? I thought so, but I might be wrong (have to use up my quota for the year). Aleister 15:35 jan21
He was an admin, and he hasn't been active in a while. --Mn-z 15:59, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
Why did he stop? I reckon he was offended by some jerks. Does anyone know how to reach him? He might be interested in returning to a sanitized Uncyclopedia. Anyone have his email? Chief? Why don't we ask him?--Funnybony 16:18, Jan 21
I have his email, and actually wrote him not long ago but haven't checked my emails (I don't do it religiously.Al 16:37
Mr N remains an admin but he hasn't been here for sometime. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 17:25, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
For - Nothing would please me more than for him to be a top Keebler elf in the decaying stump that is UncycloWikia. --Kip > Talk•Works•• 21:50, Jan. 21, 2013
To be an admin, of course. (Oh, also nom). ~ BB ~ (T) ~ Sat, Jan 19 '13 22:27 (UTC)
I have decided to acclaim Aimsplode as the admin for this fork. He is clearly the best contender and if anything...he should be crat for life. --ShabiDOO 21:08, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
This looks like chief is the only person who is qualified to be elected a 'crat and hasn't turned it down. Therefore, I propose 'cratting him now rather than going thru the farce of an uncontested election. --Mn-z 07:22, January 20, 2013 (UTC)
Acclamation. There are no other reasonable nominees and no legitimate reason for further nominations in the final six hours; and everyone active on this side has had a chance to speak. Chief is demonstrably committed to the continuing vigor of the Mother Ship and is its most stabilizing influence. Spıke¬ 18:08 21-Jan-13
Actually, I beg to differ. I'm not adding my second nomination as expediency is important, however I'd like to add User:SPIKE as a second nomination on the condition that we have two new 'crats. With the loyalties of many with existing admin access leaning away from the site, we're now open to “Admin-only vandalism” much like HotAdmin4U's recent addition to MediaWiki:Sidebar. Given it's an unusual time the need for another 'crat to be able to remove admin rights is important for these cases (as neither of our precious 'crats are active here that much any more). Expecting one individual to be able to monitor this is likely to be problematic. While I agree with Chief's acclamation, I'd suggest a vote for Spike as 2nd 'crat should be held. If you show me a community vote to deop an admin I will happily do it. -- BrigadierGeneralSirZombiebaron 23:30, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
The fact that you refer to the fork as the real site in your edit summary (making this a fake or pretender site) illustrates my point quite effectively. Your activity - or lack thereof - on this wiki is what I'm referring to. The issues with vandalism and off-site linkage disguised as “official” links to a splinter site by previously effective admins suggests that a 'crat focused on improving this wiki would be stepping in already, rather than having to have Wikia step in on our behalf. We need admins and 'crats who are focused here - not divided focus and muddled priorities. SirCPTDrPuppyOnTheRadioGUNUmPWotMNotMFPVFPVFHCMPOTMUGM11:48 21 Jan
As Frosty now primarily edits the new site there seems to me very little point in having him run for bureaucrat here. If I am incorrect in this I am more than happy to re-instate the nomination, let me know on my talk page. --ChiefjusticePS3 08:09, January 17, 2013 (UTC)
