As an Englishperson none of these jokes are familiar to me, so I'm not getting the "old and tired" vibe as seen amongst the Against Brigade. I liked it, and most of all it made me laugh. -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
X - Fantastic, so good it deserves an extra section on the failed candidates. -- Prof. OliproKUN(W)AnchorOpBur. (Harass) 20:45, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Yes, these jokes have all been done before, but I still think it was funny, and the Ralph Nader bit made me laugh. - UnIdiot | | Talk | Contribs - 20:57, Aug 7
Weak For No, it's not groin-grabbingly original, but it's topical, well written, and it passed the chuckle test. --Cap'n Sir BenGUNWotMVFHVFP 01:19, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
For. I think what the against voters aren't getting is that these aren't really jokes about the candidates - they're jokes about the idiocy of the electorate. At least, that seemed pretty clear to me. But I might be wrong. pillow talk 18:11, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Amusing and well-written, but I feel like I've heard it all already--'08 election jokes are just getting tired for me. - P.M., WotM, & GUN,Sir Led Balloon(Tick Tock)(Contribs) 20:28, Aug 6
Takes everything that's already been said and adds absolutely nothing new to the mix. The jokes come in less than bite-sized chunks (the whole McCain section was just angry except for the "arms above shoulders" joke), and the whole thing seems like an attempt to mask rushed writing by picking an easily mocked target.~~SirLjlego,GUN[talk] 21:13, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Per Lj and Led Enough with it already. I personally hate political humor, because in the end, all of it gets watered down like this. However, the bias did not cause me to against, but the article didn't give me any particularly special reason to vote for. (FU Sycamore edit conflict!) -RAHB 21:29, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
The article could basically be summed up as McCain: Old. Obama: Black.. There's potential here for intelligent satire, but to me it just comes off as purposeless racism. •Spang•☃•talk• 04:08, 07 Aug 2008
Weak against. Same as above, it feels rushed and most of the jokes have been done. --Moneke 13:23, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Weak against It just seemed like a well written piece with just ok humor. I like political humor(Obviously), but this one was just ok for me. The Woodburninator (woodtalk) (woodstalk) 05:54, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
If it doesn't win, I'll copypasta the stuff about the stupid dog into the article. OrangeAipom 09:38, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Against - Per Ljlego. The jokes are far too cliche. Though still not as groan worthy as those political cartoons in the newspaper. --Kip > Talk•Works•• 09:12, Aug. 19, 2008

I don't care if you vote against, but could you guys (not Led) try not to be so bitchy? -- foul Ape(swallow)(Riot Porn) 21:43, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm merely giving the article my critique. It's nothing personal, I always try to be as blunt as possible with criticism. It's the only way to get things done, to address the matters at hand. -RAHB 22:01, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
It is not criticism if it doesn't help me make it better (i.e. constructive criticism) - it is just bitchyness. -- foul Ape(swallow)(Riot Porn) 22:06, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
I echoed Lj's and Led's comments and reiterated the point. It's been done. Do something original. I really can't help you beyond that point. It's up to you to decide which direction you decide to take it. -RAHB 22:43, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Though that wasn't to say you're not an original writer, per se. I've enjoyed lots of your other stuff. All the above applies to this particular article, however. -RAHB 22:44, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Abst Sorry but this doesn't really sum up the 2008 election for me. Good but I feel there is greater potential, thus absain --SirDJ~Irreverent 06:09, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Looking again, it is near feature worthy even though it doesn't really look at the election in a different way and feels very rushed. Just read over it and stuff. --SirDJ~Irreverent 13:26, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
weak abstain. i was waffling between weak for and weak against. this is where i landed. SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 19:19, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Abstain. - Having read it twice, I did not dislike it enough to vote against, but it was a little ranty. --Knucmo2 10:45, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
