Shelf nom and floor Can man go to the moon? That's an age old question, and it may be answered in our lifetime. All I know is that it may be dusty up there, so bring a hat. (this page placed second in a Happy Monkey contest far far away) Thanks for reading, and thanks to the Minister for a very useful proofreading and to Shabidoo for a very juiceful pee review. Aleister 21:01 26-4-'13
For. As you may have noticed, I changed my vote. Please, don't make this interrupt you from improving your book. (See my comment) Anton (talk) 15:20, June 4, 2013 (UTC)
For. In recognition of an enormous amount of work, and a very funny result. This is Uncyclopedia's epic poem, narrowly beating Rime of an Ancient Mariner and Paradise Lost. You could've made it rhyme, though. Sir Reverend P. Pennyfeather (fancy a chat?) CUNVFHPLS 19:39, June 4, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! And I must say that the good Reverend saved the page by proofreading it and doing his magic, just as Shabidoo gave a very helpful pee review. No man is an Island. Except for Chris Christie. Aleister 23:09 4-6-'1
For. Loved it! It's pretty good, despite the somewhat strange title, but maybe thats just me. Keep writing stuff like this you crazy guy! (Meant in a good way) --The Slayer of Zaramoth DungeonSiegeAddict510 20:35, June 6, 2013 (UTC)
(formerly) Against. Too much swearing. Sorry, I cannot even finish reading it. When a writer swears, that means that he doesn't have enough words to express his thoughts. Anton (talk) 13:18, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
I couldnt disagree more. Strategic placement of the right sequence of bad words at the right time can strengthen character development in works as short as uncyclopedia articles, can enhance the absurdity of larger than life situations and make most readers laugh out loud. I think Ali did it mostly well in this article and I dont think there is any absence in skill, creativity or imagination in Alis writing, dirty words or not. --ShabiDOO 18:04, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
Motherfucker Anton voted against this shit? Mother-FUCKER, Jesus Christ's cock boiling in motherfucking Pontius Pissing-on-Patty Pilate's kitchen, voted against it?? Mudder fucker. And what's with that motherfucker Shabidoo saying Anton should blow him but not in those many words, low-down greek stoned motherfucker! I'm outta here. Aleister mudderfucker!
p.s. The swearing was all in the first section. Did you go past that at all? Lots of stuff happens. A quiz for those who read it: Who wrote the original 2038 book?
Well, sorry but even if all the swearing is in the first section, I still don't think it should be featured. Other readers may think like me and won't be able to pass the first chapter even though it might be brilliant further. Anton (talk) 07:31, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, just as long as you realize that with the fucked-up voting nowadays only one vote is needed to sink a page (especially when regulars aren't voting on VFH). This is a page I'm very proud of, spent dozens of hours on, and it took "it" out of me for weeks afterwards. If readers can't pass the first section then they should be reading 'Catholic Digest' or something. And again, a quiz for those who took the time to read it: Who wrote the original 2038 book? Aleister 00:48 24-5-'13
Don't fret pal, I got one through with a vote against so you are even more likely to. If there is anything wrong with this voting system let your thoughts on its improvement be heard. SirScottPat (talk) VFHUnSNotM 15:03, May 24, 2013 (UTC)
I think you added just one too many swear words in the article that ruin the encyclopedic effect but apart from that it's great. Sir ScottPatUnSCUNVFH and Bar (talk) 23:01 21, December 2013
Thanks for the vote (of confidence!). This is an UnBook, so it's not in the encyclopedic realm of the uncy. In the UnBook section of uncyclopedia you can write an entire fiction book if so inclined. Or a children's book. Or lost manuscipts from Crete. Aleister 11:10 4-5-'13
I gave you a suggestion on my talk page and deleted my vote. I understand that your swearing is fully legitimate and is a humor technique. You also seem to have problems with the section titles:
The first one: Chapter one: "text"
The second: no chapter number or quote marks
The third: quote marks but no chapter number.
Hope you change it.
Anton (talk) 15:18, June 4, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Anton, and I will work on your major suggestions tomorrow. I didn't even notice the chapter heads, thanks, and have made them uniform. The quotes in the chapter heads are actual quotes of people saying things (The one almost-JFKennedy quote, another one almost-Neil Armstrong's quote, the third Ralph Kramden's trademark line. The chapter head 'Contact Light' were actually the first words said on the moon as humans inside the machine touched land - can we say 'land' for the moon? I don't see why not - by Buzz Aldrin. I'm actually getting 'into' the page again, yikes. Aleister 23:05 4-6-'13
