"If good enough" is the term which best descibes a featured page. Not years, but sometimes a few days or even a week, with a chance for the mind to chew on it and spit out some gems. What often occurs when a page is done quickly and reaches feature status is that someone else nominates it because they see the quality in it. You are a very enthusiastic writer, and have already been on a steep learning curve here. A pretty good combination.
