  13. For. Perhaps I haven't read enough Emo related literature to get bored with the genre yet. Anyway, I always thought they were a species of flightless birds before I found this website. LaurelsRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 00:24, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
    • "The emo is a large flightless bird indigenous to Australia. It may be distinguished from the emu by the coating of mascara around its eyes, and by its attraction to darkness, sharp, shiny objects, and ropes with loops in them."  ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-usMon, Jan 9 '12 7:18 (UTC)

  17. For. The prose is just too fine to vote against or even abstain. Sad this wasn't written in 2006. Nikau 02:38, January 30, 2012 (UTC)
  18. For. I remember that phase in my life. What awkward days those were. Thanks for summarizing them in a humourous way though. Sir Oliphaunte (განხილვა)  Georgia-flag-on-soccer-ball-vector 00:22, January 31, 2012 (UTC)

Against: 3.5
  1. Against. Hard to vote against because it's well written, well formatted, and overall really well done. Intelligent satire. The only problem is that it isn't funny. I am sick of emo jokes, and this has nothing beyond "emo's are depressed and self-righteous" as a joke. Brilliantly done, but exhausted joke. Pup 09:53 04 Jan '12 09:53, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
I would think its exhausted is pretty relative...though I've never heard of this emo thing (is it some viral internet thing which Id have seen on facebook or an American TV phenomena that only Americans and British people with cable would see?) and I still found the article very funny (as we all have friends who were lame gothic like people in school). My friend and I also laughed out loud together three times and reread the beginning so we could laugh again. IMHO --ShabiDOO 06:54, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

  4. Against. It takes two people to make you, and one people to die. ICameHereInACloche 12:35, January 20, 2012 (UTC)
It takes ten people to get an article featured, and one against voter to spoil the fun. Sir SockySexy girls Mermaid with dolphin Tired Marilyn Monroe (talk) (stalk)Magnemite Icons-flag-be GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotY PotM WotM 11:33, 23 January 2012
I think the subject matter is overused and trite. It's well written, but I can't with a clear conscience forvote something so cliche.--ICameHereInACloche 04:32, January 30, 2012 (UTC)
  • Symbol neutral vote Abstain. Kinda with Pup on this one. EpicAwesomeness (talk) 16:27, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
  • Considering that I originally had no intent of rewriting this article, and when I did, I took half an hour, I'm just happy that anybody likes it. Also, it's mostly a self-parody. Yes, I am that kind of weenie.  ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-usThu, Jan 5 '12 10:11 (UTC)
  • Comment. I would've voted "Against", but it's so well-written. I mean I think Shakespeare wrote that. And I would've voted "For", but then again, it's not really that funny. So, abstain. Gothic Candle small J.D. Soufi Gothic Candle small 14:36, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
  • Comment. Well written, but emo exhausted itself as an original source of parody years ago. Nikau 12:43, January 6, 2012 (UTC)
Haven't you heard? Emo is retro now! Sir SockySexy girls Mermaid with dolphin Tired Marilyn Monroe (talk) (stalk)Magnemite Icons-flag-be GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotY PotM WotM 14:44, 6 January 2012
  • Could someone please tell me what EMO is? I searched for it any only got a web page of a couple music groups. Was there some fad about commiting suicide? --ShabiDOO 01:42, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
    • It's a catch-all category that covers (1) a type of whiny, emotionally-overwrought and melodramatic music, and (b) the Goth-like kids who listen to it. (Although there's apparently a technical difference between Goth and emo? Who knew.) I'd never heard the word until last year, but from the reaction above, I'll take a wild guess that "emo" has been parodied ad nauseum.  ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-usSun, Jan 8 '12 2:13 (UTC)
      • Sounds to me like this "ad nauseum" is a gross exageration. Shame...the article is so funny and well crafted. --ShabiDOO 02:22, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
        • My thoughts exactly, but eh. Whatcha gonna do.  ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-usSun, Jan 8 '12 5:15 (UTC)
          • You could always create a giant and powerful magnate which can take out the entire internet to sabotage all of those who vote against you. In the process youll also take down a lot of banks and put nuclear missles offline, and even better inadvertantly launch them. Youll also fool around with people who have pacemakers and metal plates in their head. Its just a suggestion. --ShabiDOO 01:11, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
            • Powerful magnate who destroys the Internet? Somewhere, Bill Gates just woke up and rubbed his ears.  ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-usMon, Jan 9 '12 7:18 (UTC)
  • REQUEST: Could you people all either vote YES or NO already? Enough of the "abstain" bullshit. If you don't think it belongs on the front page, vote NO, and if you liked it, vote YES. I'm tired of this lying here like a fucking turd. ~ BB ~ (T) Icons-flag-usMon, Jan 23 '12 6:35 (UTC)
    • Abstain my abstains. Bizzeebeever is having some poetic moments were he has expressed his slight lack of patience of people doing things slightly different from how he would like us to. Show us the way great Bizzeebeever. SHOW US THE WAY!!! --ShabiDOO 17:13, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
  • Abstain. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy 20:43, 28 January 2012
  • Spiritual abstain per Bizzeebeever. Pup 01:53 03 Feb '12
