# Uncyclopedia:VFH/Answer to The Great Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything

## The Answer to The Great Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything (history, logs) (feature) (remove)

Score: -4 who want to know the answer Nominated by: WHY???PuppyOnTheRadio 00:54, December 4, 2009 (UTC) For: 1 $Nom + For$. Yes, I know it's an unusual entry, and it refers to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But even though the picture changes (if you've seen it once, you have to see it again), the answer is always the same.  Rabbi WHY??? (shmuesn)  00:42, December 4, 2009 (UTC) Against: 5 Against. I was amused by this joke when I read it in The Hitchhiker's Guide sixteen years ago. Now, it's staler than the cunt of a hooker made entirely of French bread and left in the trunk of my car for a week. Besides, Uncyclopedia doesn't exist to showcase already-famous jokes. 02:04, December 4, 2009 (UTC) Just one thing: This page wasn't meant to be funny. Call it interpretationalist art or whatever, but it's meant as more than just a reproduction of the original Hitchhiker's joke. 02:07, 4 December 2009 Against for two reasons. One, I saw it coming from a mile away. This is a problem because people who know about HHGTTG won't laugh out loud at it, since they're already familiar with it. The people who haven't heard of HHGTTG and are therefore unfamiliar with the joke's background won't understand this page. Two, for me to vote in favor of something on VFH it would have to be front-page presentable. For this reason I tend to not vote for very short pages that don't fill the featured article template, regardless of how funny or in-jokey they are. 02:10, December 4, 2009 (UTC) Um. Why would anyone need to laugh out loud to this? See my previous comment. 02:18, 4 December 2009 Against. Good thing it's not meant to be funny. Probably we should only feature funny articles. Sir Roger 02:28, December 4, 2009 (UTC) It doesn't have to be funny, you know. There's also parody and satire and some other stuff too probably. Just saying. 02:31, 4 December 2009 Against - 23 is a much more mystic number. -- Kip > Talk • Works • • 02:42, Dec. 4, 2009 This isn't going to get featured. So let's just close the nom please. 02:52, 4 December 2009 No. This wasn't funny to me when I saw the original episode, and even less so on Uncyc. • • • Friday, 02:57, Dec 4 2009 Um. I said a couple things above, so yeah. 02:59, 4 December 2009 Comments After purging the page several times and seeing that it's more than just a big 42 on a page (the backgrounds change, after all), I'm changing my vote to abstain. Yeah, it's good, but I still can't vote for on the page length grounds mentioned in my previous vote. -- 02:41, Dec. 4, 2009 (UTC) I checked the code and the backgrounds, and, sure, it's well put together. I'd vote to keep it if this were VFD, for what that's worth. But I'm still voting against on the grounds that it's nothing we should feature. 02:45, December 4, 2009 (UTC) All right. 02:49, 4 December 2009
