While the lack of punctuation isn't killing the article, the conversatinal nature of the jokes detract from the jokes. The second example actually includes subtraction as well as addition simply in an attempt to make a math problem. This shouldn't be a mind bender, but it also should try to stick to the basis of the jokes. The Ted being pictured isn't famous for being a pedophile, nor in any way related to apples. They should have chosen a person considered more of a childhood figure or at least someone that likes apples.
