A picture is worth a thousand words. It can also make a good article into a very good article. If you see an article in sore need of a picture, request the image here. Surely someone out there has a digital camera and the 'shopping skills to generate original images? (N.B. copyright-related shenanigans apply when uploading pictures)

The idea of this page is that it is for photos that are original or photoshopped, or for getting help finding an image that adds a lot to a page. If you simply want an illustrative image that is already all over the place on the internet, use GIS. I have this page on my watchlist, and I am sure that there are a few other people who have more PS skill than I do, so any request will probably lead to an image.

Also, since original content is better than just copying an image from some other site, if there are any images that are already uploaded but could have something added to them, post that up too. --Paulgb 09:55, 24 Mar 2005 (EST)

Ok you crazy 'choppers this one's hard to explain but should be fairly easy to make. First take a look at this image:

Basically I want a version of this for my Final Fantasy Football article. It should follow these specifications:

Three people in the team (just like Final Fantasy). This means the shirts can be quite large so you can see them properly.
All the players should be women, and since this is Final Fantasy that means large breasts (this is necessary to the humour of the piece, trust me). If possible you could make them match some of the characters in terms of clothing/colour sceme, e.g. Tifa, Lulu, Beatrix. This is up to you but please include these names underneath the shirts anyway.

Hey. I'm after a very specific image. I'm looking for a tetris game image that has a background of potsdamer platz before the wall came down in the background. I'm looking for an animated gif version of it and I'm looking for it to be in 16 colour in EGA style. What I am then intending to do is have a wall created in the center with falling bricks and have a person try to cross it and be shot down by a guard at the side. If someone does the entire graphic and animation for me it would be fantastic, but if not whatever you can give me would be spectacular. (IE an animated gif version of classic Tetris for PC, a picture of potsdamer platz, an animated gif of a character jumping a wall, and animated gif of a German gaurd shooting someone, blah blah. The more elements I get of this the easier it is to put the final product together.)

OK, I think we officially need a picture of Barrack Obama playing for Kenyan National Cricket Team (as he was born of Kenyan) to ironically point this out.

Another picture connected to the game of cricket that comes to my mind would be the picture of Steven Irwin and Jesus Christ playing cricket (Irwin's crickey = christ + cricket ;))

And another: Orthodox Chasyth Jew (necessarily in black hat) playing cricket. Their hats remind me of those using by Lankans and Aussies.

Hm... Article about Polish language is kinda long. Therefore I need more Polish language-related pictures. My ideas are:

picture of VERY VERY VERY thick book (like Bible multiplied 7 times) titled "Polish grammar"
alternatively 20 books marked that they are from series of "Basic Polish grammar" :P
Photo of guy with cut tongue in a manner of snake (result of speaking Polish when you are foreigner)
Photo of drunken guy (preferably not-white to highlight that he is not a Pole) that holds a book (caption could be: being drunken makes learning/speaking Polish easier)
Any other photo you can imagine and is connected to Polish.

Easy request. I've invented an LSD spring in the New Zealand mountains, and I need an image for it. It's a regular spring, not a hot spring, and I'd like a hippie or two sitting and/or laying around it (that part of the article is set in 1972). (Oh, and no sheep in the picture. The article is supposed to be sheep-free.) Never mind--I found the perfect image in the Hippie article.

I'm thinking of making an article about a canned energy drink in the same vein as Red Bull etc, called "CrotchSweat". Can someone make an image of a canned drink called CrotchSweat? Each can of CrotchSweat contains 3.7% real human crotch sweat. My only request for the actual image is that it looks semi-real like and not overtly humorous. The people that made it were deadpan serious about their product. Know what I mean? Maybe you could just use an actual energy drink can of a more obscure brand as the base. i have converted it to .avi and then dropped it back to a gif again... have tested it in mozilla and ie and it works fine at full size and scaled but when i load it on these pages i just get a black box.. i dont use uncyclo i was just a little bored so i cant be bothered trying to get it to play - you can do that i'm sure... so there you go...at least the bleeps and sqwauks are gone... :)i wish i could remember how to spell squak right now but i me brain aint workin too great atm.. ;) bumphlegm.com

The main issue is that it's messed up—there are artefact-like whatever-it's-called stuff, and only when it gets reduced in size (which means the problem is irrelevant for Pixar, but nevertheless ...). Does anyone know how to solve it?

If it helps, here's the process I went through to make this. Basically I made this in Photoshop CS3 off of a QuickTime movie of a YouTube video of the original sequence, upon which I just added the potato being thrown at the lamp and the brief flash. I merged down images of the potato with motion blur applied beforehand, onto frames of the lamp that I copied. Then I just saved for Web, with default settings. Somehow I feel like the only relevant sentence is the last one. Sir Mac Mania GUN—[01:47 16 Aug 2009]

Oh, and something else that may or may not be relevant: two of the frames are on-screen a lot longer than the others. The lamp in darkness sans potato is a 2-second frame, and the blackness after the flash is a 5-second frame. Everything else is on for 0.07 seconds per frame. Could this be a reason?

OK so I'm half-starting a few articles at the moment, but I really need images to motivate me to take them further. In this article I need a suitable logo for an introduction that could be the official "Somebody Cares" logo. Simplicity is key and I'd like it to incorporate a minimalistic (perhaps crudely-drawn) smilie face (without the face outline), some warm colours (orange/pink/lilac/yellow/red) and the slogan "Somebody Cares". Perhaps the kind of thing a child would draw, but since its aimed predominantly at teens and young adults, perhaps not. Just show me what you can do. Well, not quite, though I appreciate the effort. It needs to be a little more refined than that, like a charity logo intended to curb young adult suicide, the joke being more that it ends up looking a little too twee and patronising than they need to be. Basically they belittle the audience a little by commissioning artwork that would really appeal more to a younger age group but not too young. Hi RadicalX, I just created and expanded the page for lyre and added some images. The pics are ok, but they are just public domain pieces of art I found on Google images. The only funny aspect about these pictures are their captions, but other than that, the pictures themselves are kind of bland. I don't know a thing about photoshopping, so if you want to take creative liberties with these photos, be my guest! Hi, I think the bottom image was going no matter what. For the image there's a few ideas, obviously there's hopefully going to be a parody of the literary form of Bildungsroman, as it's quite a dodgy term. I realize that asking for the image before it is done is a bit more difficult, but I do prefer to have some idea of the look of an article, it also means that the article is finished complete if you know what I mean (I'm not anal). I had a look around for some ideas, I'm going for a 'Biography' however the biography of a composite of may characters. I searched for some images, I quite like the mash up quality of this and I especially liked the image for the cover of Hobbes Leviathan, where the citizens of a state combined and melded and the state was like a body - so the individual came out of the many.

These pics have a very dark quality about them, so adding funny in an image based on this sort of thing is an idea. The end article should in theory parody the concept of an end point in life and that peace (submission) with society is one of life's goals - along with the term being difficult to define, and pulling out it's very fictional quality. I'd like the text redone on this image: Image:Pennybags1.jpg. If someone could properly orient the text on the newspaper and perhaps find a better font for the talk bubble, that'd be great. Elements:

The newspaper headline reads "Recession?" It needs to be properly angled to look like it belongs on the page.
The newspaper blurb in the lower corner reads "Too Bad Bitches!" That too needs to be fixed to make it look like it belongs.
The talk bubble reads "Fuck you, pay me." A script font like the one that is there is fine; it just needs to convey the regal nature of Mr. Monopoly (ie. a little textual irony).

I think I saw a picture of "Miss Manners" at some point on the front page. This takes some explaining, but in the vein of those kinds of pictures, I'd like to get a "promo" pic of a skinny, maybe in their 70's female who looks a bit like she's spent more time under a plastic surgeon's scalpel and at the botox clinic than actually getting a real Ph.D. in what they claim to be gurus at. Something in the vein of Ann Louise Gittleman, "Ph.D." or Gillian McKeith, "Ph.D.", but a bit more skinny, worn out and still the kind of a picture a publisher would smack in the back of a healthy living guide where they present the author as God's gift to weight watchers type. Anyone think they can either find or chop such an image for me?

In the same breath... A few "Before/after" pics may later be requested for a "dieting guide" article where relatively normal weight girls go from pretty, kinda cute looks to worn out, lifeless anorexic proportions.

I have done an article on Isaac The Tank Engine that relies upon making a juxtaposition between a Thomas the Tank Engine Clone and the Passion of the Christ. I don't understand quite how it works either. What I'd like is a couple of pictures of Thomas the Tank Engine replacing the classic renaissance artistic renderings of Christ's last moments. Something like this or like this or [this. The main scene obviously would be Thomas on the cross, and as you could see the underbelly of what is essentially a toy being able to see a "made in china" stamp on there as well would be fantastic. Can I have three phots please? A very nice request without the rudeness

I need three improved versions of these images please: File:Quiet Day.jpg and File:Pasketmaul's Yugumbigysenadori Stadium.jpg. First of all, a real stadium has a real actual jumbo TV screen, so it could be like watching a bloodbath. Secondly, I wanted the mushroom cloud removed, and the floor to be covered in concrete, splattered with real blood please. There should also be a realistic image of people riding elephants, not having badly drawn players riding cartoon elephants! Please, God, they look horrible! Thirdly, the words should be removed and there shoud be actual fires on the banners, as if you were burning a flag, please. Finally, I wanted the photo to have an actual electronic scoreboard that shows the team and the score please. And perhaps while you improve the images, can you make a better image of the logo as well, please? The logo looks lifeless, sadly. It needs some colour into it please. Needs lots of stuff but the main thing is a new front page picture. Currently we have the boring duo OS. I'd rather see some beefcake and cheesecake modeling a few of the shirt/hat products. Of course, summer is on the way in the northern hemisphere so it's a great excuse to get some tits involved (no, not Modus' birds). Take a look at the front page yourself and replace the nerds with a few tall, sexy figures to fill the space please.
