Threefold Nomination

Just an IP here, but may I please call your attention to this UnNews story, this image, and this sound file. One of the VfD criteria is plagiarism. The story is cited in the article, but citing sources doesn't pay the bills, and having read the story myself I'm not sure if it meets the "transformativeness" test of fair use. The image was sporked from some website and is in all probability copyrighted. October 2010 - early January 2011

Michigan Technological University This is schoolcruft plus listcruft, being developed mostly for the authors' collective vanity. It was being worked on by two guys tonight, but hasn't been for a year by anyone with an actual username, so I can't complain to an "author" and no one has a watch list with which to see any changes on the talk page. Why not take it straight to VFD? It's got a couple great pictures and a couple great lines. For example, the information on the dearth of attractive women could be pulled together into a great section. The college is in the remote western section of Michigan's relatively unpopulated Upper Peninsula, and that could set the stage for not-your-typical college article. I also think it has a some amusing parts - for me it looks like something that needs work, but there's funny in there. I did a quick check, and there was a better version in the article history. I would say its not quite delete worthy, but it did have a rewrite tag which I left on it. Also, the article is too old for ICU, which is only for articles under 7 days old.--Mnb'z 14:10, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
